Dansuqi: Ijaws are the majority No, they're not. I could wager that Igbos are the majority if we're to include those that speak Igbo but don't necessarily identify as Igbo. |

Amya: Igbo is a tribe and not a region. South-south is a region comprised of many tribes of which a igbo is a part of, albeit in the minority. Kapish? Igbos are not a minority in the south-south. There's no majority in that region. |

davodyguy: Yorùbá are very accommodating and in many South Western States, they hold positions in CDA.
Oyo State Osun State
Are good case studies, some of my Igbo clients are based in these states and they tell me how relaxed they feel Igbos don't hold any CDA positions outside Lagos, so keep your lies to yourselves. Even in Lagos, they are sparse. |

clefstone: You r 100% correct, the Ndonis are on the other side of the Niger and have very close affinity with Aboh, same language, similar culture and hundreds of years of inter marriage. Peter Odili, former governor of R/S is an Ndoni man. How did u know much about that area? You probably know me with my other ID. |

Lagos is very accommodating. Is it just Lagos or Yorubaland in general? |

davodyguy: I agree with you completely on 'Yoruba Muslim vs Yoruba Christian' we see ourselves as one based on the tribe and language unifying us.
Look at Lagos State Government for instance. Bola Tinubu married a Christian, Fashola Married a Christian and they're living together without any division.
Yorùbá people are not too conservative and are very liberal and accommodating.
The fact that Igbos are allowed to buy and own properties, develop them and even become Chairmen of CDA shows how accommodating and open minded Yoruba are And you think this only happens in Yorubaland? You guys are funny with this shi i swear. Don't flatter yourselves. |

Or having watery stools?
And also difficulty in gaining weight? Yes, this happens but what also happens is the reverse. Sometimes, even after eating, i can feel hungry. |

clefstone: Not every tribe that speak the igboid language in Delta identify themselves as Igbos, infact, most do not identify as Igbos. The Ikas and Ndokwas/Ukwuani's don't see themselves as Igbos. Those around the Asaba area would identify as Igbos though Aren't you from Ukwuani/Ndokwa or is it the equivalent i Rivers state? |

scondy: Babe ....its debatable....but if you listen the good guidance....u wont go......if as a parent i watch certain highlights of the show and y child wants to go...i will advise against it....but then....u know it is left for the child to take the advice or not.....
how much do they all make sef? the most part is popularity and after a while the buzz dies off....with all the small small paying endorsements...the winner is the ultimate beneficiary....
I speak from the knowledge of my tribe...yoruba....hardly will they support their child going most especially the female ones...and dont mean it as shade,,,,,,Like most south east and south south are more liberal in their approach......yorubas are generally hypocritic in nature.....we prefer you do things in a hidden manner than do it boldly....
But like i said,,......the issue is up for debate...this is my own view... There were thousands of Yoruba people who lined up for audition just like there were thousands of Igbos as well. The people that were selected were not done so because an ethnic group is more liberal than the other. So, the bolded doesn't cut it. If we put Hausa people in the mix, it would have held more water. Have you wondered why all the Northerners that have ever graced Big Brother are Christians? From Kelvin to Katung to Bally to Sir Dee to Diane and so on. Now, that's because the muslims in the north are more conservative whether pretentious or not. The Yorubas on the other hand are nowhere near being conservative. Infact, i would wager that they are the most liberal southern group. |

Dansuqi: I think in order to avoid this, they should be picking one from each state inorder to bring an ethnic balance I think the federal government already has that and it's called " Federal character". This is a private show not a government show and so, i don't think they will tow the part of stupidity just to please every state. |

sgtponzihater1: Not exactly true. There are some tribal unertone to these things. Muave 25 in Ibadan was filled will thousand of Yoruba boys seeking for auditions, no one was taken this year from there, last year only Lolu. I imagine those Yoruba dudes were not good enough and the majority had to be Ibos.
PS: I am not even Yoruba but South South married to Ibo, but we don't shy away from the truth Big Brother Naija is probably the fairest event as far as selection is concerned. They defiitely pay no mind to tribe. Remember in See Gobe, There were only 3 Igbos (Uriel, Soma and Gifty). |
