I need you to just say amen to the prayer first in order for you to judge your conscience. Even Otedola, Elumelu etc will not make that statement you made in public forum. The NGX is not all about someone loosing before you make it. If you must know, there is always a win-win situation most atimes. When you buy stock, make some money and hand over to another set to make their money too. Some bought UBA @ N5 and sold at N12 to others who are still holding/have sold at current price of N23. Not necessarily praying for people to loose money for you to profit from their lost.

The last time I check, your name is not agbalowomeri grin, I would have understand your position. I come in peace sha.

I support this post110%. It is inhumane that some people on this forum enjoys others loosing money. I believe most of us would like the market to go up and if there are views that think otherwise. They should express them them without rubbing it on others that are loosing money.

A lot of the ogas here such CP, BBM , Pa Emma,Osita , streetinvestor and Aunty Mercy have done well in presenting both positive and negative directions of the market in my opinion.

We should lookout for each other. Thank you

Madam, thank you for your response. Always very helpful. Thank u.
Your observation was right..
Around this time last year, some results and dividend declarations were already out......
This year, there has been postponement upon postponement of board meetings and quite a lot of companies filing for late submission.
* Think it has to do with some economic events or some other regulatory factors.........NAICOM approval for Insurance stocks and CBN approval for banks...
* We should be should be expecting some results anytime from now.

Thank you very much oga Ade. I understand the reasons for the delays now.

Most banks have already submitted their AFS to CBN but as always incompetence reigns in this country.

As terrible as Emefiele was, this current CBN regime doing everything to make him look like a genius.

UCAP had their board meeting today, we should hear something between now and Friday.

My favourite PEEPs, I greet you all.
I wondered if anyone knows why most of these companies that usually release their year end results by first quarter of the new year ate not doing so this time. Usually , we would have received UCAP and Zenith dividend by now. Thank u

If you head to the website of the Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics, you can download their compiled foreign trade statistics for each year and quarter. For Quarter 1 of 2023, they imported "Cane sugar, meant for sugar refinery" worth 75.8 billion naira. In Q2 2023, the imports were 111.6 billion naira, and in Q3 2023 they were 157.3 billion naira. Q4 should be along the same lines, though I don't have the Excel sheet as it was not available when I downloaded the others.

This is a country with a large population and vast lands o ...

I don't know the exact percentage, but I am quite sure Dangote Sugar imports a significant amount from Brazil. They import using dollars, so any rise in the dollar exchange rate will translate to losses if they purchased those inventories on credit. This is because they now need to pay more naira for the same import quantity. undecided

Oga Osita, thank you for this detailed explanation. Nah wah, do much money spent on products we can grow local. I remember buying and eating sugar cane regularly from mallams.
Your style come resemble oga oracle small 😜

Madam good afternoon,
This fx loss they confuse me self, I wondered if u could some thoughts on the reasons for this loss. I thought Sugar is from sugar cane well grown in the north. Or we they import this? Also, does this fx affects Bua food. Thank u
yMcy56:

I think market reactions has to do with their results.....

Fantastic result is expected from NASCON..
If you check thru the Q3 result, it seems SALT made the revenue of the whole 2022 in Q3 already; Q4 will send the revenue high up.....
* Just saying this offhand, may not be accurate, e don tey wey I scan thru the result.... grin

As for SUGAR, FX loss will impact on the result...

But Overall, both will be fine in the short/medium to long run......Merger news will take care of whatever difference that may be btw them.
I think opportunity is just presenting itself to those who are yet to enter the bus.
*My personal opinion*

My people, please check your CSCS statement regularly to ensure your share bonuses have been allocated to you. I recently, notices my IBTC bonus declared about 3 years ago was not credited. I chased this up with First Registrars about two months now and just got confirmation from them that it has been credited. Nah to chase them uk now for dividends owned.

You can use Investment one stockbrokers.
The truth is that everything is done online. You don't need to be in a physical office and even if you are in Lagos everything is still the same online activities.

The first thing is to open a stock/cscs account, you can do this by clicking the 3rd link on my signature. Account opening is free.

Get other information from my earlier post in response to a similar question here or reach out to me with the contact on my signature.
Hi Emma, due to your general encouragement about on this forum. I submitted an application to Investment one last week Tuesday, my application was acknowledged but I have not heard from them again. Could you help in looking at this. Thank u

See the attached:
You will see "Market" then "Order"

Click on order, you will see all your buy/sell order, click "cancel" on the order you wish to cancel.
- Will ask you if you want to cancel, select 'Yes'.

Another one is to go to the menu tray, click "Buy Orders" if it's for buy .......or "Sell Orders" if its for sell, you'll see orders placed, click on "X" cancel in front of it.
Hi @Mcy56. Thank you for you help. 🙏

Boss,

The companies are all doing well

Ucap and Vitafoam are both fundamentally sound companies. They have good leadership, have good dividend history and are leaders in their respective fields.

But if I was to take a buy decision...I'd rather buy only vitafoam. (Not financial advice)

I consider ,nahco and ucap as too dangerous to buy at those levels

I see zenith bank as a medium risk to buy at that level, it can fall to 22 naira or go higher depending on the market confidence. Better to buy a little bit then average down into it.

I'd rather wait for 6 months or more for nahco and ucap to get to 10 naira than jump in at current levels.
Oga “G”, many thanks for this. Precise and sound. Thank u.

Good day @Owoblowblow,
I'm very well thank you. I hope you are too.

1. No. All MMF are valued daily because of the variations on the underlying assets. But the variation is not volatile like equities, interest is guaranteed ie investors will always have interest added to their invested capital anytime.

Rate is relatively stable especially the fixed income category of mutual funds like SFS FIF.

2. You will have 688,856.7517

A= P(1+R/100)raised to power 5
CI = A - P

With the following assumption that
1 rate remain 11.05 in 5years
2. You reinvested the interest for the 5 years
3. The 1m was a lump sum not contributed at any interval.

3. No addition of funds or partial redemption.

You can chat me up if you need further clarification.

@Emmasoft.
Thank you for this detail explanation. I will keep in touch
Kind regards

Don't leave your money idle in the bank, it increases your negative returns.

Get better returns as you invest in the Stanbic IBTC MMF for 9.12% as of today and the SFS Fixed income fund for 11.05%.

There is an opportunity for re-investment (Compounding) of your returns as long as you wish or you can opt for a monthly payment of returns.

Click the links on my signature or call to start investing.

Hi Emma,
I hope you are well. I have few queries and I would be glad if u have a minute to respond.
1. Are there any MMF investment that guarantee a specify rate.
2. If I choose to re invest on 1,000,000 investment on SFS Fixed income fund at the rate of 11.05% what will be my returns in 5 years.
Thank you for your time.

Could I ask one or two mores questions. I wondered if this rate fluctuate like stock prices. Can I also reinvest automatically my yearly cash out from this investment.

Hopefully we might get back to the days of about 18% yield

Hello Pa Emma, I hope you are well. I wanted to ask if someone invest in this bond, can that person sell off anytime they wish rather than stay in it till 2049.

Thankyou
