Everything is this country is misused.. I am surprised that the Nigerian C-120 Airforce planes have not started flying commercial and Armoured tanks have not started running Port-Harcourt to Asaba or Lagos.

Straight up

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."

Martin Luther King, Jr.

And a few more thoughts, from one of the greatest men of my lifetime:

“On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, "Is it safe?" Expediency asks the question, "Is it politic?" And Vanity comes along and asks the question, "Is it popular?" But Conscience asks the question "Is it right?" And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because Conscience tells him it is right.”

. . .

“We must rapidly begin the shift from a "thing-oriented" society to a "person-oriented" society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.”

. . .

“The saving of our world from pending doom will come, not through the complacent adjustment of the conforming majority, but through the creative maladjustment of a nonconforming minority.”
RomanceRe: How Do You Totally Forgive And Forget A Cheating Spouse by Owoinukolo(m): 5:29pm On Dec 06, 2011
hmmmmmmm,

I have asked many and no one seems to have an good reason why men have affairs outside marriage.

When i was young i use to say it will never happen utill i got married and like play like joke, i was in it neck deep. How ever, i recall my promise to myself and my God. I took a uturn , the rest is history now.

But importantly is the way my wife took it. The house was miserable and hot for me for the first two week and even my marriage then was threatened but with time she was able to put it behind her although once in while when she notice am drifting away she call out for caution, you knwo what i mean.

Men and Women on their own are issue to study over time and need a lot of paitent to understand. Some of these affair/cheating or whatever its called are not man made o! The woman and the mind of the man are involved.

The man is wire to be moved by what he sees, so as long as he continue to see hmmmm God help us men. (Please dont blind the men o)

My simple advise, find a place in your heart to forgive your man, as long as he is you husband no matter what , na house apoti dey siddon wait for yansh, he go come back when this two left leg girl, lady or strange women show am, else he may just come back to his sense just like the prodigal son,

Most importantly, dont act it out to him or drive him away like some women do and end up loosing the man to anothe desperate unmarried woman,

enough word for the wise, forgive and fogert, dont forget why we are here, take your time and pray and hope for better each day!!!

men do cheat, i dear say always!!!

Court sentences man for defrauding FIRS

The Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi has sentenced a chartered accountant, Abayomi Sofolahan to three months imprisonment for defrauding the Federal Inland Revenue Service,(FIRS) to the tune of N5million by illegally deceiving the Guardian Press Limited into paying tax revenue into a fake account with Skye Bank.

Justice Abimbola Ogie handed down the judgment after Sofolahan, a tax consultant to Guardian Press Limited pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against him by the Assistant Director (Legal), of the FIRS, James Binang.

She explained that though Sofolahan was to spend not less than 21 years behind bars based on the 12 count charges preferred against him by the FIRS, she had to exercise her discretion to reduce the sentence to 3months because of the plea by the accused person’s counsel.

While each charge attracts three months imprisonment each, Ogie ordered that the jail term should run concurrently just as she further ruled that the accused person should pay N200,000 as fine to the Federal Government. Justice Ogie also declared that the N2.5million already remitted by the accused should be paid as tax in favour of Guardian Press Limited to the FIRS, while the accused was expected to pay the balance of N2.5million upon release from the prison.

As soon as the judgemnet was delivered, Sofolahan, who should be in his mid-forties broke down and wept like a baby and had to be dragged out of court by prison officials. However, his counsel, Jonathan Akeme described the judgment as sound noting that the judge exercised her discretion in delivering the judgment. He pointed out that there was no need for his client (the accused) to appeal the case because he voluntarily made a plea of guilt.

He expressed gratitude to the judge for exercising her discretion in favour of the accused person by reducing his term of imprisonment to three months, which he said the accused person would not appeal.” “Also arraigned in the same court were officials of Skye Bank and Union Bank Plc, who allegedly facilitated the illegal opening of current account for the FIRS upon the presentation of forged letters purportedpurportedly written by Mrs Ifueko Omoigui Okauru, the executive chairman of the FIRS.

“However, Messrs Afolabi Suleiman and Etuk Umo, who participated in the fraud are still at large, with the prosecutor informing the court that the police are closing in on them.

You are a correct person. That is how some of them are wired. You have on showcased two, there are other sides to them (wives) that we may not know but experience.

For those married, you need to study and come to terms with the woman you married. Please do not try to change her, that will be fire in Stveo30's word. Prayerful, you can make it better for both of you in that same room.

In addition make sure you guys are friends and remain so, it works wonders!!!

1st -- You loose your privacy! A fact nothing like that should remain in your dictionary
2nd -- Marriage is all about becoming one; how can you become one when apart?
3rd --When you have issue(s) sleeping in separate rooms or having separate rooms will complicate matters.
4th -- When you have some one visiting you or her (siblings, parents or friends) there will be issues o.

I support both man & woman stay in one room and know themselves in and out. It make a lot of sense when it is not virtual marriage you signed up for.

One day you will send her email to see you in your room or have to text her from your room you love her abi?

PropertiesRe: Lagos Landlords: Collect More Than 3 Months Advance And Go To Jail/n100k Fine. by Owoinukolo(m): 12:15pm On Jan 21, 2010
First thing first, I guess it is a step in the right direction. However, there are fundamental issue that need to be viewed in proper perspective,

1. Law of Demand and Supply
2. Does the Tenant have substitute - (option to call the bluff )
3. Who reports who? Don't 4get, the Landlord first and foremost earned the loyalty of the tenant, whichever way you look at it.
4. After reporting the issue, will the tenant have the audacity to stay in the rented apartment thereafter. (A kin ti court dey ka se ore - interpretation - when we get back from court, friendship is not an option)
5. Where is the judicial capacity to hear this case
6. Is the government really ready for the showdown resulting from this ready?

I would rather the we propose laws that feasible that can be operational with less energy and resource utilization.

3 months appears to be too small a time, 6 months or a year would have wider acceptance for the operation of this law.

I will also, suggest the government face there duty and deliver on there promise of 7 points agenda!!! E fi epa sile en pa lapalapa!

We have heard case in court between landlord an tenants, such case where decided in the absence of the tenant and same becomes binding. What does it cost to rent an hungry man to represent the tenant and the importer deny the allegation , Naija lawa!!!!

Yar’Adua not with us - Saudi Hospital - Yar’Adua not answerable to NASS on acting president - Aondoakaa
From Taiwo Adisa, Lanre Adewole and Dare Adekanmbi - 30.12.2009
THE ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua, who left Nigeria 37 days ago for medical attention in Saudi Arabia, was never admitted to King Faisal Hospital at all as believed by Nigerians, the Nigerian Tribune can report authoritatively.
Investigations conducted by the Nigerian Tribune on Tuesday revealed that the president was not in either of the two branches of King Faisal Hospital in Riyadh and Jeddah.
Few days after the president left the country, presidential spokesperson, Mr. Olusegun Adeniyi, addressed a press conference, where he told Nigerians that President Yar’Adua had been taken to Saudi Arabia for confirmatory checks, when speculations became rife as to his whereabouts.
According to Adeniyi, the Chief Physician to the President, Dr. Salisu Banye, had said Yar’Adua had been diagnosed of acute pericardits, an inflammation with the sac-like covering of the heart, on November 26.
“It was then decided that he should undertake confirmatory checks at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he had his last medical checkup in August. The medical review and tests undertaken at the hospital have confirmed the initial diagnosis that the president is, indeed, suffering from Acute Pericarditis,” the statement had said.
But investigations conducted by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that President Yar’Adua was not in either of the two branches of King Faisal Special Hospital in Riyadh and Jeddah.
In fact, a worker in the central unit of the hospital, Hubaid Al-Atabi, disclosed in a telephone conversation conducted in Arabic, that the president was never admitted to the hospital, adding that his record was not in their possession.
He, therefore, advised the Nigerian Tribune to make an enquiry at the Jeddah branch of the hospital, which further revealed that the president was also not admitted therein by a member of staff who refused to disclose his name.
The numbers contacted were +96614427502, +96614647272 (Riyadh), +96626677777 (Jeddah).
Meanwhile, a source said the president is still in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, though out of hospital.
The source said further that the president, for now, could not embark on long haul trip, thus making it difficult for him to be taken to either the United States or Germany.
The possibility is that his wife, Hajia Turai, might have decided to explore the spiritual angle by moving him to a place where the already employed marabouts can pray for him unhindered, a source said.
Another source said the family had objected to taking the president on air ambulance to either the US or Germany and even Nigeria, because of the unusual noise that it could cause.
Given the latest development, nobody, not even the aides of the president, could say authoritatively where President Yar’Adua is. Meanwhile, if the controversial Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Michael Aondoakaa, was presumed to be speaking the mind of ailing PresidentYar’Adua’s kitchen cabinet, then Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan and those pushing for his constitutional ascension as acting president should perish such an idea.
The minister, who had said Yar’Adua could rule from sickbed, told a federal high court sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, that the operational 1999 Constitution did not make it mandatory for Yar’Adua to communicate the National Assembly, even when he could no longer discharge his constitutional duties.
His position was contained in government’s preliminary objection to a suit by Mr. Femi Falana, seeking an order of the court compelling Yar’Adua to constitutionally hand over the reins of governance to Jonathan in acting capacity while still ailing and another by a former lawmaker, Honourable Farouk Aliyu, seeking to declare the president unfit to continue in office.

shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Now confirmation can not be given that the Yar'Adua was ever admitted to any of the two branches of Hospital he was supposedly to be receiving treatment. NA WAH 4 NIAJA O. Please i need HELP!!
