Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Hope For A Graduate by oyelove(m): 2:46pm On Jun 02, 2017
secretsuccess:
my name is joshua a chemical engineering graduate. it is so difficult to survive as a hardworking, honest and God fearing person here in Nigeria. After my NYSC i have been struggling from place to place, looking for opurtunities. i always shuttle from lagos to portharcourt...thinking that one day it will be well. i just discovered that it will never be well..

When we were in secondary school we were told to get a good course..my parents were happy when i got chemical engineering..then in school it was get a good result..that was no problem, i got a second class upper.

Ater service it was get certified..ahh, no wahala.. i got my NEBOSH certificate..then again some said it was connection..ok, i joined lots of proffesional whatsapp groups after much work, i even had to pay for some...funny enough the so called proffesional group failed woefully.

twice i was called for a job brief..twice i was rejected..the first reason was because i am igbo the woman saw my name and her countenance changed though she dashed me 2k and told me the usual words i would get back to you..ok, fair enough. The second was in portharcourt i was rejected because
of my church..Roman catholic.. hmmm. A young man was also rejected for same reason he kept on complaining while i was just laughing..though later i begged him for #100 for my TP, he gave me sha.. he is a nice man.

ok. i had to go back to the drawing board..met some people and they said i should just do further courses..oooo! course again, ok.. no wahala. i begged my mum to sell her bike for 110k so i can add 30k and do process safety and loss prevention..she accepted.. i sold the bike and did the course.. yet, no interview call. i said ok let me visit companies and give them the cv..my brother no show.

i sat still again..and then reviewed my cv..paid 2k for push CV to review the cv..still no luck.. downloaded CV review app used it time and time again. same results.. no calls.

the only thing i get everyday is insults from my Father and some relatives of how lazy and weak i am...this is not fair life itself is not fair..is it not better to die? after working hard in school and after school for about 8-10 years no result for it..

People will always say dont be tired but my brother i don tire... i know many of us have same story, but for me the only thing i can do to make the pain easy.. is write..

Nigeria is not worth it.. did i tell you i briefly went into business?.. but how can you do well in business without long time experience.. it is always difficult..well, the pressure is much and i see that breaking point is close... only God knows Tomorrow.

These days the only thing that comes to my mind is suicide..i have downloaded lots of books to see if i can find a solution.. but none yet.. please if you have good advice for me i am willing to hear it.

thanks
E Joshua

Travel / Re: My Funny Experience At Passport Office In Lagos by oyelove(m): 12:59pm On May 26, 2017
Naijasinglegirl:
I was told I would need passport photographs, copies of my birth certificate and my certificate of origin to apply for an international passport. No one mentioned the N1,000 and N500 tips here and there.

I met a crowd under a canopy who came for the same purpose when I arrived the passport office in Ikeja. My contact gave me a form to fill and told me to join them. After waiting for more than three hours, I was told my file won’t be processed until I had a guarantor, a challenge that took me two weeks to fix.

When I returned two weeks later for what they call capturing, I met an even larger crowd triggered by the shortage of passport booklets. Among the crowd were returnees who were there to renew their passport. You know the usual IJGB signs – tattoos, bling-blings, jerry curl hair, weird haircuts, wanna ganna accent, singlets and shorts with winter boots etc.

One guy walked in with a basket ball displaying all of the above signs. It appeared he was there earlier in the day to renew his passport but left when he couldn’t stand the queue. An officer came out to pacify the crowd and this guy, who decided to be our mouthpiece shouted, “Damn man! Shit iz taking too long. We aint gat all day here. I gat practice by 4 man.”

Then he turned to me and said, “Mest up country yo!” Me, I was just like, O-O

4pm, we were still waiting. Another officer came out to call names and the Americana’s name was exempted. This time around, he broke into pidgin in a clear Nigerian accent. “Officer I don tire to dey wait! Person go come die ontop passport! Na wa oh”

People who heard him earlier were laughing. Then he stormed into the main building angrily. It wasn’t long my name was called in for capturing. Beside the capturing office is an iron gate which serves as a jail and Americana and his basketball were doing time there. Apparently he had gone in to make trouble and one of the no-nonsense officers had bundled him into the jail. This time I heard him swearing in Americana, pidgin and Yoruba.

I walked into the capturing room and the capturing officer took one look at me and walked me out. He said they weren’t going to photograph me because I was not dressed properly. I was befuddled seeing that I was dressed in a sleeveless maxi dress which is decent enough in my own opinion. However, I quietly left in search of whom to borrow jacket from but I found no one.

There was a ‘Nigerian mother’ seated outside with their signature scarf wrapped around her neck. I explained my situation and asked her if I could borrow her scarf for a few minutes. After an eternity of staring at me from feet to head as though my approach was disrespectful, she grudgingly handed her scarf to me.

I returned to the office with the scarf wrapped around my shoulder.

When I overheard another officer say, “This her hair eh,” I knew I was in for part two.

The capturing officer told me to pack my weaves. I did just that with a rubber band. He complained my left ear was not visible. I tucked my weaves behind my ears. He said my forehead was not completely visible.

I took off the wig.

The man was shocked. Some people present were giggling. A girl who was on the queue for capturing said the officer should attend to other people while she assist me with adjusting the wig. Left for her I would have taken that passport peacefully in my didi hairstyle.

Five minutes of being told to tilt my neck clockwise, semi clockwise and anti-clockwise in front of the camera, I was successfully captured.

By then, the woman who gave me the scarf had barged in to demand for it. I returned it to her and she held it by an edge as though I had infected the scarf with a virus.

One of the officers who gave me tough time had quietly slipped his phone number to me while I signed out. Outside the office, two elderly female officers called me aside and started lecturing me on indecent dressing. They said I was supposed to wear a suit to take the passport so I don’t end up being mistaken for someone who is travelling for prostitution by the officials at foreign airports. I told them it was the work of the devil.

On the good side, I now own an international passport.

Italy here I come!

so funny..
How re you doing?

Romance / Re: Ladies, Please Date A Man Who Can Afford Your Transport At Least! by oyelove(m): 3:00pm On Mar 01, 2017
[quote author=Naijasinglegirl post=54036984]So I got into the second row of a danfo at the bus stop and while the bus was waiting for two more passengers, a boy and a girl came in and sat beside me. Next thing, the boy asked the driver the cost of the fare, driver said N200. The boy turned to the girl who weighed not less than 65kg and said, "Sweedy, its not N150. Let me lap you."
Soon enough, 15kg of Sweedy was on my thighs and 50kg was on her boyfriend's own. The babe had balanced like a boss and was sipping coke from a straw with sunglasses wedged in her hair. She even had the guts to be chewing gum too. Only God knows where they were coming from.

I was very uncomfortable in the position they put me since it was a tight bus but I could not alight because buses heading to my direction were few. I was just hissing and hissing miserably because I didn't want to cause a scene. .
The boy now asked her, "Sweedy are you okay?" She replied , "I can manage," They didn't even ask me how I am coping with 15kg of Sweedy. When the last passenger got in, a visibly angry man, he told the relationship people to adjust so he could sit comfortably. He said he couldn't understand why they were inconveniencing him who paid the complete fare. Boyfriend was like, "Chairman where I wan see space?" Then he turned to NSG the mumu and said, "Can you shift?"

That was enough to send me through the roof. "Shift to where?" I asked. "Am I not carrying Sweedy too? Have I not tried for you people?" Then an agbero who was observing came by and asked them why they could not sell their coke and use the money for their transportation.

Lol.. But dear, this has nothing to do with the ladies dating a guy that can afford their t.fair na.. In the case of this your friends, they had a misplaced priority..or their scale of preference was wrong. Sorry for the inconveniences they caused you joor.
Investment / Re: Have MMM Participants Given Up? by oyelove(m): 4:20pm On Feb 05, 2017
Those who study in Guider school knows that the RESTART has been replaced by the PAUSE MODE. So, when some people chose to deceive you with old and archaic knowledge to create panic in you, you must learn to say no. The best is to ask your guider to explain the Pause Mode. MMM South Africa did not restart because they still have Old and New Mavros which is a feature of pause Mode. Those who claim MMM restarted are misinformed. The most unfortunate are those who always come here to speak against MMM so as to lure people away to join them in a Copy Cat system which may not work for up to few months. Many who think they are wiser than MMM admins created a lot of copy cats even on whatsapp and people who lost their money their will not ever open their mouth to tell you they lost money. As MMM delayed payment now, many of copy cats are packing and nobody will speak about them because they are too shameful to speak about them. It is only MMM they can be shouting against. MMM in different countries has faced the same challenge and even worse and they overcame. Our problem here is panic and using our own mouth to destroy the community we are still waiting to enjoy. Last week now, MMM started in another country but many guiders and participant started advertising that people should come and join and build their structure with a lie that it is MMM global. I wonder why we should always tell people lies. If MMM decided to block all the accounts from Nigerian IP address, we will say MMM is evil. The earlier we learn to say the truth and abide by it, the better it is. MMM Admins gave us rules of operation in MMM but we refused to abide by it with the believe that we Nigerians are smarter than the system. The MMM admins have had a lots of negative reports from MMM Nigerian and we should not expect them not to be wise enough when trying to deal with the problems we create for ourselves. Whatever becomes of MMM is out actions and in actions. Moreover, majority of us have shown to Mavrodi's team Only guiders who were placed on Moratorium from November 2016 can tell you boldly that the problem and issues in MMM started far before Dec 13, 2016 freezing and even with this resumptions, many are still uploading fake POP and refusing to confirm payments. The best MMM needs to do is to seek how to eliminate all such people from the system. Even if the system reduce to only few thousands, it is far batter. It is better we allow the admin to take time to put all the measures that needs to to be put in place at once. MMM is not about getting quick rich, and the goal of Mavrodis MMM is not the money. And the way most of us wrote to support or complain is a main revelation to the admins that the Ideology of MMM has deviated in Nigeria. We should not expect that admins will be happy or eager to attend to us if all we are shouting about is MONEY. WE CANNOT CLAIM WE ARE CHANGING THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM OF THE WORLD WHEN OUR ATTITUDES SHOWS WE ARE MORE GREEDY AND UNJUST THAN THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM WE CLAIM WE FIGHT AGAINST. MMM has always been advising that we READ THE IDEOLOGY, THE WARNINGS AND UNDERSTAND IT BEFORE YOU JOIN. So, if anybody joins out of ignorance and greed, don't think the admins will panic over your multiple complains. MMM is a battle aimed at DESTROYING THE CURRENT FINANCIAL SYSTEM OF THE WORLD and it is boldly written on the website. This is why MMM trains people before you are made a guider. If some Nigerian Guider chose to become like the Oligarchs that Mavrodi is fighting, it is a display of foolishness and greed. When there is a war people should always make sure they understand the cost and the conditions before joining the fight. People have lost money in MMM before, and that was when RESTART was an option even when Mavrodi was jailed for over 4 years, the ideology of MMM was revived and the faithful fighters are always ready to join. The suffering of Mavrodi is not to help us develop pot belly and greed for money but for people to join him in his quest for FINANCIAL APOCALYPSE which many participant, even many guides to understand till today let alone talking of teaching their down lines. If MMM is all about money doubling, somebody like me will never join and I would have left MMM since long ago to follow any copy cats after all, I know how to play the smart game and get myself out before they collapse. Many who are running after copy cats today are not going there because they want to help Mavrodi fulfil the dream, but they are only after their own belly and making quick money. When givers Forum started, they claim they are better than MMM, but why are they not matching people again now? But the people who run there will never complain. When MMM West Africa started, they claim they are better than MMM and they will never go on Holiday, but yesterday, they just announced no matching till Next Month, yet you will not hear anybody complaining about them. MMM United was a major copy cat many people followed, but how is their operations today? Worse than what we are facing now but why are people not complaining against them? I think the simple answer is because they are all faceless , it only MMM which is doing everything to make sure we are all carried along that we always complain with the aim of destroying so as to get more referrals in copy cats networks! You can criticize MMM as much as you like and gather people to copy cats, you will soon regret your actions when you realise that those copycats are fraudulent schemes. Their admins always diverts all the first payment of PH to themselves and even if the scheme will end in few months, the last people are to lose while the same admin will go and create another network and do the same - giving it a new name with fake promises. Every administrative body have some classical information to keep away from the general public because of the enemies of their system and the same MMM is doing. If Nigerians cannot boldly speak about the whereabout is a whole president of a Country, how do we expect to know all information about MMM operation carried out in Russian? Those who are standing with MMM will not go to public forum to castigate or speak against a system they claim to stand with. Even when they have genuine issues to raise, they Chanel it to the right department and not to come openly to agitate again it. I understand MMM ideology to the core and it is not about money or 30% we earn ,It is about bridging the gap between the rich and poor and I will continue to stand with MMM except I discover the ideology has changed to greed or Quick Money making. I'M MMM Guider. I stand with MMM. MMM pays. Together we change the world Guider Eduardo

I will have to congratulate Mavrodi for keeping to his promise of resuming in record time. Most of all, I will congratulate him for his ever convincing way with which he radicalizes his ever vulnerable victims. Mavrodi surely needs an award in radicalism. If you wonder how he targets , entices and lures his victims, perhaps you should also wonder how Shekau lures his suicide bombers.

MMM is back. It is back, this time, to announce its death- like a dying man writing his will. MMM's latest update about it's resumption leaves a lot to be desired.

(How many days make 'a couple of days'?)

Unlike the robust MMM we used to know, MMM, like a drowning man, is gasping for breath and making desperate clutches on straws. From the bolded sentences above, Mavrodi knows he need not set this limit by himself. He knows with the shortage of PHers, it will take forever for all "matured" mavros to get help. But what did he do? He cleverly manufactures an explanation that "we will only pay a certain amount per day" and serves it hot to his ever loyal zombies(couldn't find a softer word). He did not stop at that, but he makes sure he clears all logical doubts from their heads by affirming that,"We''re the ones setting the limits, so it''s completely under our control, and we are not expecting any emergencies in principle. Have no fear and go on about your business as usual " .

But a logical question any sane person would beg for an answer is, " By setting a limit to paybacks, does it imply he will be setting a limit to the help providers? Doesn't it sound contradictory that you set a limit to how much help is being gotten in a day but don't a set limit to how much help is being provided in a day? Who then receives the help being provided? The limited GHers?" The fact is... Mavrodi depends on nature to regulate the GH rate.

Did he stop at that? Hell no. This time, he didn't fail to disappoint his victims. He,as Omniscient one has clearly defined which participant is rich or poor by relying on the amount used to provide the help.Oh poor soul, Mavrodi called you a poor man because you provided a help of N20,000 despite working in a bank or owning a house in Ikoyi.( But then which poor man donates N20,000 to the orphanage). Luckily these "poor" people are going to be the first in the queue to receive payments.

But then Mavrodi is too wise to state which amount that classifies one as rich or poor as you will be lost in thought, pondering which category of social class you belong . He has left you in total doubts to ponder on whether the amount you provided classifies you as "rich" and thus justifies the reason why your payment is not forthcoming.

But Mavrodi has his reasons. It is easier for the "poor" to be paid as their PH amounts are relatively small as opposed to paying the few "rich" millions with what could have been used to settle the numerous "poor". This will of course mitigate the tensed atmosphere. He's a "wise" man.

But then, "The richer can wait. Moreover, we''ve warned you repeatedly to only provide help with amounts that are not critical for you. Therefore, if these large amounts are not critical for them (the richer), they can wait a few days. No need to be tragic about it.

Mavrodi has smoothly shifted the blames to the "rich" grin . To ye who used their school fees to provide a "rich" help,to ye who borrowed large sum to belong to the unfortunate rich category, to ye who sold your papa land, to ye who sold your only car, Mavrodi is telling you not to feel tragic when the days you have to wait turn to years- after all, he warned you to use that money, the one that has "spare money" written on it to PH. Like a rat that blows and bites at the same time, Mavrodi has offered the rich an anesthetics while reminding them of their "mistakes".

Mavrodi has succeeded in buying himself time with excellent excuses that only the wise and the experienced can see.

What the future portends for the scheme

*Participants waiting to be paid will have to wait a little longer as they will experience situations where the help providers become apprehensive and refuse to pay.
*Fake POP will still linger on. I'm sorry to be the carrier of this bad news. Fake POP has come to stay.
*Low turnout of new participants. MMM is dying like a candle.
*Confusion and uncertainty will kill the system but The hit and run participants will bury the system.
*More lies being dished out as updates by Mavrodi while not forgetting his popular and powerful clause of," Together, we change the world"
*Participants whose monies are stuck will be urged asked to provide another help
*Mavrodi will not forget to blame the media and the banks(when it crashes) cause it surely gives the participants orgasm.

"P. S. I''d like again to call on the authorities and the mass media: Please, leave us alone! Have mercy on people."
I'm sorry Mavrodi, this line has become stale even though you used it to brainwash millions. Tell it to the birds!

SAVED YOUR QUESTIONS TO GOVT..

What is your headache??
Politely i asked, is this your cup?? Why the trouble??

Look at my profile and see my previous questions to you too.

Can you and your GOVT ask

I am not a partaker of MMM now, but i will when it comes back 2017, WHY the answer is because of the unnecessary articles sponsored on this same issue.

maclatunji:
The following are my questions to the subscribers to MMM popularly called Mavrodians.

1. Where do you think the money you are collecting through MMM is coming from?

MMM claims not to be a business and not an investment, so where do you think the 30% return which excites you so much is coming from?

2. Do you know what a Ponzi scheme is?

I have to ask this question because of those who defend MMM with the claim that they have made money from it. To be the clear, a minority will make money from Ponzi schemes being the early adopters that help to create the exponential growth. However, the latter subscribers are the ones that lose greatly. If you understand this, you will not present this argument as evidence for MMM not being a fraud.

3. Where did you get the money you invested in MMM from?

You could not use that money in any legitimate business?

I ask this question because many MMM subscribers behave as if they were incapable of earning money before MMM came.

4. Is it that you don’t understand that governments across the world are duty-bound not to allow a Ponzi scheme started by an ex-convict that has scammed people across the world operate freely within their countries?

This one is self-explanatory, Sergey Mavrodi the main brain behind MMM is an ex-convict. He got convicted for scamming Russians with a precursor scheme to MMM.

5. Explain how MMM is a revolutionary idea that commercial banking should be afraid of?

MMM subcribers are quick to tag banks as stealing from their customers while MMM is the solution for the masses. Curiously enough, they pay into each other’s bank accounts; curious to say the least.

6. Do you understand that wealth is created based on the value you create not through this system operated by a few people to rob people of their money while leaving them in the lurch?

Let us say all of us joined MMM, where would productive output come from?

7. Did you anticipate that your ‘investment’ (sorry, your ‘Mavros’) could be frozen without you having any say on what happens next?

I am sure many ‘Mavrodians’ did not expect this December debacle, but we are here.

8. Do you agree that as a promoter of the scheme, you are quite dubious because you are seeking to reap bountifully at the expense of others when the scheme crashes?

Note I wrote ‘when’ not ‘if’

9. Do you not worry that you could have a hand in the death or grievous harm happening to people who could lose money from MMM and become suicidal?

We already have reports of some people taking poison because their money got frozen this December.

10. Do you understand that you are effectively using time that you could use for productive activity to promote a questionable scheme at best?

If you understand that time lost is irrecoverable, why waste it?

Your answers and feedback are quite welcome.

A message from the admin of pyramid scheme MMM seemed to take digs at Nigerian bloggers. The message appeared on the MMM website today.

Since the announcement of the pausing of the system, MMM has become a hot-debated topic on social media but now, its founder Sergey Mavrodi has warned journalists, analysts and experts to keep off from the system. Mavrodi also claims that the system has not crashed despite the inability of participants to collect their invested funds.

The message read:

Appeal to Journalists from Sergey Mavrodi

Dear journalists, “analysts” and all kinds of “experts”!

Please stop using MMM to gain cheap popularity. Leave us alone and let us work without interference. I’m just astonished by your irresponsibility and cynical attitude. Interests of millions of people, your fellow citizens are at stake. Don’t you have any sympathy for them? Why are you fueling hysteria around MMM and provoking a panic? Why are you doing this so diligently and persistently, what is your purpose?

In fact, absolutely all your provocative and worthless articles and “analyses” (I said “worthless” because you do not have any real information about what happens in the System, and might have never had; you simply invent everything, fabricate it) are merely negative: “MMM has collapsed!!!.. MMM will not be working in January!!!..” etc. Are you intentionally presenting all of it in such a manner and whipping up tension by any means possible in order to increase the ratings of your publications and attract attention to them? Don’t you care about people at all?

So, nothing has collapsed, and MMM will safely resume its work in January, as announced. Suspension of work for holidays is a usual thing, merely working moment, no more than that. It would have remained a normal, just a part of the usual routine, and might have gone almost unnoticed if it were not for your totally cynical and irresponsible attempts to advertise yourself, create a scandal out of nowhere, and make the most of this news topic in any possible way.

Again, leave MMM alone and let us work. Nothing has collapsed, and MMM will perfectly resume its work in January. We Can Change the World!

Career / Re: Choosing Between Working In Lagos Mainland Or Lagos Island by oyelove(m): 9:42am On Dec 14, 2016
MY DEAR, YOU JUST CAME UP WITH A DECISION AM ABOUT TO REVIEW NOW IN MY PLACE OF WORK.. i think mainland is the best, irrespective of the amount offer, u look at your rent fee if your 2 months salary can pay it at a go, unlike staying on the island.
PetiteB:
The choice of where to live affects many other decisions out of which is the decision of where to work.
I have found myself in the dilemma of whether to take up job opportunities found in both Lagos Island and Lagos mainland despite the fact that I reside closer to the mainland.

Basically, anyone would choose to work in an area closer to where he/she works and vice versa. However, in my case and that of others similar to mine, it may not necessarily be so, due to some Lagos factors.
Lagos Island can be said to have most of the highest-paying jobs and best-designed apartments than the mainland. But in terms of cost of living, it is more economical to live on the mainland.

Someone could get a job on the island paying a monthly salary of N300,000 and on the mainland paying, say, N200,000 monthly. Assuming this person resides on the mainland where accommodation is cheaper, he/she will have to spend more on transport fare to work on the Island plus the time that will have to be spent commuting to and fro Third Mainland bridge.

On the other hand, the person has the option of living on the island, closer to where he works with the benefit of saving cost on transport but to spend much more on accommodation than he does living on the mainland.
What is your advice? Take the Island job or the mainland job?
Trust me, many are struggling with this decision and your invaluable advice would go a long way. Kindly share your view by commenting below.

Dating And Meet-up Zone / My Birthday Speech by oyelove(m): 11:45pm On Dec 03, 2016
I want to hide the truth, but then I know, truth will set me free – I am now a year older! I thank God for this feat – reaching this age happy, blessed and contented. My God might not have given me all that I wanted, but at least He sent me all that I needed, and that what matters most to me now. My birthday wasn’t a big bed of roses, been through hell and back. I’ve never been to different hospitals as and I am forever grateful that He provided me with a family that loves me so much, who took care of me, and stood by me, for all those times. With everything that happened to me within the past years made me value my life more, and see it in a different perspective.

Thanks to my family who stayed with me, fought my battles with me, who loves me for what I am, and for all that I will be. Thanks to my friends, real and so-called ones.

To the friends who understood me, and remain with me despite of my weaknesses, stubbornness, and of course my being a PRINCIPLED person.

Thanks to those who turned their back, for you help me value more those who are with me, and aid new spaces for new ones.

Thanks to my new found friends, who added a different joy to my simple life. I wish i can mention your names here..

Nobody knows what this new year will bring me, but with a family, friends and God, I know my life will never go wrong. I only ask God to make this BIRTHDAY one to live to remember as i await my LONG AWAITED TESTIMONIES (e.g a real woman i can CHERISH and grow with) among others.

He already gave me a wonderful brand new start for this year, WITH A GREAT TESTIMONY IN VIEW and I cannot wait to enjoy the rest of this new age.

Happy Birthday to me.
