Stop making up positions. There was no king. God ruled and Moses was mediator. When the sons of Israel asked for a king, God told Samuel to indulge them because they had not rejected Samuel but Him.

Moses and Aaron were brothers but God chose Moses as mediator of the Old Testimony and Aaron as the High Priest.

Nobody is saying they should live descent but many preachers are going out of track. Many of them are now talking more of money in their sermons. Many have lost it and have deviated from what they ought to preach. Acquiring wealth here isn't just restricted to pastors alone it's for all Christians. We shouldn't be carried away like what's going on now. It's very easy to say but difficult to practice

u r very correct, alot of pastors are swaying from the divine mandate and emphasizing on ephemeral temporal things. However, that doesn't mean all pastors are off track. If u tell me a pastor is off track based on a sermon he preaches, den i will agree. But just merely seeing dem from afar off, we can't say dat conclusively until we av listened to dem or gotten closer

Joseph Arimatea was rich but did his riches over shadow him or got to his head? Was he living a flamboyant life like what most pastors are doing? Didn't he labored for his wealth? Did he asked people to give him money or sweet talk them to sell their possession? Am not saying you can't be rich, what am emphasizing is the fact that you may be carried away by such riches. It's easier to say I wouldn't be carried away but the end leads to destruction. There is a preacher that's one of the richess pastor on earth but you rarely see him displaying such attribute. why do u guys attribute piety wit poverty? And who is to judge flamboyance? Dat men of God ride in latest cars or dress well indicates flamboyance? Or wat is ur definition of it? Some of these men of God even had successful careers before God called dem into ministry. I know an accountant general of a whole state dat resigned because of ministerial work in d church. Am sure if he was riding his big car as an accountant general ppl wouldn't av termed him flamboyant but cos he is a pastor now ppl will remember dat poverty is supposed to accompany piety.

I don't even attend d church of this pastor being criticize but i was born into another Pentecostal church, i know all the thiilcks nd thins d church has gone tru to become solidly standing now, most of the clothes my pastor even put on are gifts from church members who traveled out for vacation even ppl donate the cars these people drive in.those whose life were blessed by this ministers hold dem in high esteem .. but Joseph of Arimatea was very rich and was still disciple of Jesus. Infact had it not been his influence, the body of Jesus wouldn't av been released... The kingdom of God is very big. Choose who u wanna be in him but don't lose ur focus of heaven.. By the way, the Bible says he became poor so we might be rich..

To begin with Moses was a Levite, his father Amram was levite and so was Aaron his brother and Miriam his sister double check your fact before you come public with it there are vast no of audience some of which you have a tendency to mislead some which will only have an impression of you. Having said that tithing preceded the law (father Abraham paid tithe) long before the law was given to Moses. Before the priests, the Levites would tithe a tenth of tithes (the tithe of tithes) which would be put in the storehouse of the temple for the benefits of the temple workers. As at the time Jesus made the statement, he had not fulfilled the Law. When he died on the Cross, the bondage of the law finished in our lives. His blood liberated us from the bondage and curse of the Law.

And supposing you want to continue tithing according to the Law, then you need to give your tithes only to the Levites. Even Moses did not collect tithes because he was not a Levite.
