bros, we do like to see these pictures on the pan igbo thread too. You once ran a thread on beautiful schools in Anambra. It will be nice to see them on the pan igbos thread. The world should also know that there is a revolution going on the the education sector in igboland, especially Anambra state. Where world class primary and secondary schools are springing up to offer quality education at affordable prices .

Its not about the achievements. Its the unwarranted noise and drama we make about it, knowing fully well that we are in an igbophobic society.

Israel makes no noise about their achievement unless they are being challenged by their neighbours. Same with UAE, Germany, Singapore.

Then maybe you should read Thomas Sowell's essay, "Black Rednecks and White Liberals" and "Are the Jews generic?" Where he discussed about the middleman minorities, to which he listed the igbos as one. He talked extensively about the typical character of the jews ( representing the middlemen). How they start mostly from being agrarian, then graduating to trading, to taking up white collar jobs, real estate and then manufacturing. Most importantly he talked about the brashness, lousiness and arrogance of the Jews.

Bros this is similar to what was written by scholars, about target groups. The igbos too are a target group hence, it was easy for the north to use the coup as an excuse to exterminate the igbos.

I've noticed that we Igbos don't think big. We're always myopic in our thinking, that's why someone can say that Obosi and Orji are not in Onitsha and Owerri respectively when cities outgrow their current limit and become bigger with time. As far as i'm concerned Owerri stretches as far as Ogbaku in Mbaitoli Loca government. Let's think big and stop making our cities look like little hamlets.

Owerri as it stands now is made up of Ogbaku, Amakohia, Orji,ogbosisi, Nekede, Ihiagwa, Eziobodo,Obinze, Uratta, Egbu, then Owerri metropolis.

If that's what is coming ur way legally, accept it and start looking for what to do with your life quickly.
Even u may have job opportunities that requires u to present an nysc certificate which u already have, while ur mates will have to wait for 12months before getting a discharge certificate.
In my case,it worked for my good because by the time I got my discharge certificate, I already had a job to apply to with it, and I got the job, while my mates were busy with NYSC camping.

Thanks once again. But the LoE is being processed according to NYSC portal. I dont have it yet and I dont know how long it will take.

The exemption certificate is equal to the nysc discharge certificate, there is no advantage whatsoever.
I have an exemption certificate and it has never been assessed lower than a discharge certificate since and atleast i have a decent job working with others who did nysc and holds a discharge certificate.
Moreso, there's no biggie with the NYSC service year except now sha wey dem do increase the alawi to 50k. Asides that, only a few get the opportunity of a life time by getting fixed into a job path that will change their lives for good forever, but 90% others na just suffer head!
