Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome To Give $100m To God (Video) by P0intBlank(m): 10:19pm On Dec 04, 2017 |
Organs: Excellent write up. I am indeed impressed. There is this Loius Farakhan movement all over the USA called nation of Islam. Michael Jackson was almost converting to becoming (a lot of people will tell you muslim) but its actually nation of islam, before he died. African Americans were brought into America from west africa as slaves. You ofcourse know the history of american independence and civil right crusade etc. Now in the black community, there is still a lot of backwardness and hopelessness due to mainly drug use, crime rate and dependence on the system for food stamps, vouchers etc. Loius Farakhans nation of islam movement did a lot of social services in african american communities and he rid the communities of drugs, laziness, hopelessness etc. It has yielded excellent positive results and a lot of people hundreds, maybe millions are doing excellently well. There message and beliefs are totally different, they have a story of a Black God or black messiah etc and it is meant to give the black man honour and belonging and that its not true that all prophets were all white caucasians and that Jesus was white, Moses, Abraham etc... nope they dont believe that. Now, this is a huge American movement and they are very successful. Infact read about them. About the healing, its all based on our beliefs, for me as a muslim, i know clearly that the prayer of a mother to its own child or you yourself fasting and praying to God is more efficient and will be answered by God more than any pastor, imam or any MOG. In my faith God said the best amongst you is he who has more God Consciousness and only God knows that.
PointBlank you know what is funny, in Christianity, there is MOG and christians believe he is MOG and they believe in his prayers, healings, preachings etc and he is very important and making $$, so much so that now Muslims are coping the Christians. Now you have lots of malams all over the place that are now Prayer warriors and people go to them for healing and prayers. I respect your write up and your belief but at the same time, I will share two messages of islam with you. 1. Pointblank, the prophet taught us that Paradise (heaven) lies at the feet of your mother, God also said be conscious of God and YOUR PARENTS, as well as saying DO NOT BREAK the ties of Kinship, this means focus on your mother, your parents and show mercy first to your family and then to your neighbors, friends and entire mankind, this is universal message of peace and universal brotherhood, not pastor, imam or all about healing, riches, money etc. 2. God said, (in the Quran) when my servants ask, concerning me, God, I am closer to them than their jugular, so my broda i beg you, yes, get preachings and guidance from those that know the book more than you, but understand that you yourself has direct access to your creator, nobody, no pastor, no one, you yourself and your creator and you can ask him your God DIRECTLY and God willing he will answer your prayers. Thank you and may God almighty guide us all, ameen. I'll look up Loius Farakhan movement. It's been nice chatting with you. Take care |

Organs: Pointblank, i salute your belief and Hope as well as your respectable approach to issues. Yes, i agree with you i dont know Oyakhilome personally but i know of his antecedents, i listened to him on TV and saw lots of fake miracles, i also have friends that attend his seminars etc in Houston TX, where you ofcourse do not have healing. Mind you he is being discussed here its not about him personally, its about most of them and their lies. I am muslim, Pastor Bakare and Rev. Fr Mbaka's preachings are more appealing and more sincere to me. FYI, i attended a friend's fathers burial the other day in Church and i was called upon to give a 3mins talk. I told everyone there that i travelled 10 hrs to attend and that, the man in his faith as a Christian is an excellent example for me in the way he conducted his family life, with honesty, sincerity, deep spirituality, HONEST, and i equally said i cannot say the same about so many muslims that i know. My broda, that is the truth. How many Nigerian spiritual leader pastors/imams are genuinely interested in ensuring that guy on the street they dont know is protected, helped, assisted for the sake of God and our common humanity ? Seriously, if you travel my broda, you will know these people are rogues for the most part even with your testimony, you are not living to your full potential. Maybe you supposed to be an entrepreneur creating jobs or a Michael Jordan... but all these corrption held you back and you are giving testimony for the little you have. The earlier illustration I gave of fake and original tells you I'm fully aware they are fake pastors. It's not in my place to judge who's fake or not. So I spoke of the one I know. You might not like him but it doesn't make him fake. I have met several people who have been under his ministration for 10 years or more and they almost always say the same thing. They say something along these lines: "I was a young man/woman not sure of what the future had in store for me, visionless and doubtful. I was just trying survive but I came in contact with the ministry of the Man of God and he fed me the Word, believed in me and told me I could be anything I wanted to be. It changed my mindset and ultimately changed my life" Very obvious examples are Frank Edward, Joe Praise, Sinach, Buchi, Eben, Samsong, Ada, Martin PK (I know you're muslim you might not know them but these are household names in the Gospel Music industy who have been blessings to many lives). Success is not by accident. Bad trees don't produce good fruits. The first two were hawking - Frank Edwards in Enugu, Joe Praise in Benin. If a man (or in these case men) tells you someone was integral to their success story why do you want to doubt it? I certainly won't doubt it because he has also impacted my life. If you remember the private jet story, it was said these guys and others in Music and Art ministry of the church bought him the jet to mark 30 years of impact. About healing issue: Let me say I came contact with the teaching of this MOG sixteen years ago. These teachings have told me my rights in Christ. An offshoot of these teachings is that in those sixteen years I have never been to a hospital (except for medicals). When sickness came I rebuked it in the name of Jesus and it went. I went 9 straight years without taking as much as panadol. When I finally took it was just de-worming medicine (I took for a funny reason. I'm slim and I'd been wanting to add weight so I heard someone advertising deworming medicine in the bus so I thought to myself could this be the reason). Now, no faith healer claims to have 100% record cause healing doesn't entirely depend on the faith healer. The faith of the seeker is often required. Sometimes God in his sovereignty and mercy would overlook whatever shortcomings and heal all the same. Note this: Ten people seeking healing, three return unhealed does not automatically negate the fact that the other seven were healed. Furthermore there's the issue of God's timing. Sometimes the person's time for a miracle has not yet come. They have instances of people who came multiple times and were not healed. They did not despair. They kept coming till they got their miracle. Finally, I know a friend who used to criticise Pastor Chris and other MOGs but got a healing while watching atmosphere of miracles with Pastor Chris on TV. At that time he used to smoke weed. He went out with some friends and he smoked a different type of weed. From that day henceforth he had intermittent severe migraine . When the migraines came it would be so unbearable that it drove him crazy. One day he stumbled on the aforesaid program in desparate need of a miracle he didn't mind (what did he stand to lose?). Stretched his hands towards the TV during prayer time and God touched him. After this miracle he started attending Christ Embassy. I don't even no why I have taken the pain to write these because nothing I write may ever convince you if you're not open-minded. Well, It's entirely up to you to believe or not to |

Organs: See here, if you encounter IBB, or if you know him personally, he is better than all these pastors, because he is an excellent and cheerful giver. He is a huge philantropist to all those that know him or are able to reach him. I know this personally, but guess what, IBB is a corrupt man that messed up Nigeria. The same thing can be said about so many Nigerian political class rogues they all are good if you know them personally. This is the issue with some christians they ascribe power, to their religious leaders... imagine what you wrote, you did not even say God almighty...... the same thing with bokoharam, they believe in their leader and follow him. The only difference is Oyakhilome is not asking you to go kill others like bokoharam leader but its the same human being follow-follow mentality. The only difference? Do you know assumption is the lowest form of knowledge It's just like someone telling about his wonderful dad you have never met but you assume you know his dad more than him There's absolutely nothing wrong with my statement. I would say it again and again: my life is better because our (Pastor Chris & I) paths crossed Someone could say the same of you if you would take out the time to invest in lives of others Like I told you before do not allow sentiments beguile your sense of judgement I rest my case |

jeff1607: I made an error, it's not all but most, those who studied in Uniben, know how things happened there, sisters given to guys to do follow up and vice-versa but that's not important. because u didn't neglect ur academics didn't mean others didn't, I'm only talking about what I saw, sacrifices students made especially for those student-pastors
you got a point tho, Not everyone will partner with you
but why make it so glaring and make it look as if other pastors are serving another god or something @bolded It's actually the other way round. Below is an excerpt from a welcome address delivered by Pastor Chris when Benny Hinn came to Christ Embassy for the first time They said I was too much like you Pastor Benny Hinn… because how could the results be so alike. If they insist that Pastor Chris was of the devil… they’d have a problem because they already believed in Pastor Benny. You were like a covering to us… Thank you Pastor Benny Hinn for coming. Everyone join me to welcome Pastor Benny.” As for your first point, it wasn't just me. Lets just say in BLW our priorities are different. So some of things you saw us do might not make sense short term but has certainly paid off in the long run. An A in the university is good but an A in life is much more important. |
