Beyond political announcements and profile descriptions, Nigerians today are becoming more interested in measurable impact, visible projects, sustainable policies and practical solutions that directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The country does not just need politicians changing parties; Nigeria needs leaders and development experts who can genuinely provide workable solutions in:

Nigeria needs practical nation builders, not just political rebranding.

As an educator, I honestly believe there is truth in what you said, but I also think we must be careful not to discourage people completely from further education.

The real problem in Nigeria is that many people enter higher institutions without proper career guidance. Some students are naturally practical and skill-based, while some are research-minded and academic. Unfortunately, our society values certificates too much and practical knowledge too little. That is why many people rush to universities and postgraduate studies even when what they truly need is technical skills, vocational training or industry experience.

A Master’s degree or PhD is not supposed to be for competition or social status. It should solve problems, improve knowledge and develop specialised skills. Sadly, many people now see postgraduate education as an escape from unemployment instead of a platform for growth and contribution.

At the same time, we should also understand that not everybody with postgraduate degrees lacks purpose. Some people genuinely want to improve themselves, gain deeper knowledge and prepare for opportunities in academics, leadership, research and industry.

The major thing Nigeria needs now is proper orientation from secondary school level. Students should be helped to discover:

* what they are naturally good at,
* whether they are skill-oriented or research-oriented,
* and the kind of career path that truly fits them.

Not everybody must become a professor, and not everybody must wear suit and tie in office before they are successful. Skilled workers, technicians, innovators and entrepreneurs are also important in nation building.

Education should not just be about certificates. It should be about value, competence, problem-solving and impact on society.

Real change will not come from complaining alone. At some point, people with ideas, competence and proven developmental passion must step forward and participate.

Having a lounge does not make someone a criminal. A lounge is simply a relaxation, hospitality and social interaction center where people meet, relax, discuss ideas, eat, network and entertain themselves responsibly. Around the world, lounges are legitimate businesses that create jobs, generate income and support local economies.

In fact, many successful politicians, businessmen and global leaders own hospitality businesses because such environments help them connect with people directly, understand society better and build strong grassroots relationships.

Politics is about understanding people, communication, networking and human connection. A lounge can even help political ambition positively because it becomes a place where people from different backgrounds interact, exchange ideas and discuss societal issues openly.

The real issue is not owning a lounge; the real issue is the character, vision and values of the person running it. A responsible entrepreneur creating opportunities for people should not be stereotyped negatively.

Every legitimate business deserves respect, whether it is a school, farm, company, hotel or lounge. Success should not automatically be interpreted as crime.

If these reports are true, then it shows again why Nigerians are losing trust in the political system. Politics in Nigeria should not be about secret power games, hidden funds, or personal political structures. It should be about development, transparency, accountability, and improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

At a time when millions of Nigerians are battling hardship, unemployment, insecurity, poor education, and weak infrastructure, leaders should focus more on nation building than early political calculations for 2027.

This is why many young Nigerians are demanding a new political culture built on openness, innovation, competence, productivity, and real developmental vision. The world has changed. Politics in the 21st century must be driven by ideas, technology, economic growth, industrialization, and measurable impact — not endless internal struggles over power and control.

As an educator, I believe this idea can help if it is done the right way.

Drug abuse is becoming too common among young people today. Many students are losing focus in school because of bad friends, depression, poor guidance, and problems at home. This is affecting education and the future of Nigeria.

But schools must not treat students like criminals. Schools should help students grow, learn, and become better people. So I support the counselling and rehabilitation part more than punishment.

Parents, teachers, government, religious leaders, and society must work together to guide young people early before drugs destroy their future.

At the same time, government must also improve education, create opportunities, support skills, sports, innovation, and mental health programs for students. An idle youth can easily be misled.

Nigeria needs a strong and responsible young generation for the future.

Whether Goodluck Jonathan is constitutionally qualified or not is for the courts and constitutional experts to finally determine. But the deeper truth is that Nigeria cannot continue depending on recycled political cycles alone while expecting modern development.

What Nigerians are truly hungry for today is visionary leadership, innovation, industrial growth, quality education, youth empowerment, security, technology-driven governance, and economic productivity. These are the real issues affecting ordinary citizens daily.

The truth is this: every transformational movement in history was once mocked before it gained momentum. People laughed at new ideas until those ideas began to challenge the old system.

Nigeria cannot continue recycling the same politics, the same excuses, the same poverty, the same failed structures, and expect a different result. The country needs a new generation of visionary thinkers, innovators, nation-builders, and competent leaders that understand 21st-century development.
