Romance / Re: 10 Types Of Women That Men Do Not Want To Marry by padeolu: 7:34pm On Oct 10, 2014
Miss "I Don't Eat":
This woman picks at her food, is on a never-
ending diet or doesn't eat pretty much
everything that most people eat. When a man
first meets her, he thinks to himself,at least she
will neverbecome overweight, but eventually he
realizes that it's no fun toeat alone. The fact is
men like to eat; they like steak, they like trying
different foods, they like dessert and women
should be eating too, at least sometimes.
someone comes to mind.

10 minutes after you posted this, none of the above-mentioned has come to refute it. Let me give them a line of argument, they can claim that since it is in university of UYO n not Portharcourt, dat the Jonathan E. J on the publication is not our president gringringrin Lemme help you and call them out again. Omenka!!! Barcanista!!!!! Ngeneukwenu!!!!!! I may not agree with some GEJ works, but attacking his phd is a no no for me
That article got published in 2006, then I guess he was the governor of Bayelsa State by that time.

His far position as the third author implies his little contribution to the piece. well, I don't expect a sitting governor to be active in research tho. Maybe the inclusion of his name was just to show gratitude for funding the research work.

Akpan B E, King R P, Jonathan G E
Department of Zoology, University of Uyo, Uyo,
Nigeria;;Centre for Wetlands and Waste Management Studies, University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria;;Government House, Bayelsa State, Nigeria

Can anyone please provide link(s) to the article(s) he masterminded or published during his active teaching days.

I saw the highlighted when I replied you . . .Yes, I can confidently tell you I know a doctor who doesn't have one publication despite having a very voluminous thesis.

He is currently been encouraged to do something ASAP unless he wants his juniors to leap frog him in the dept. hierarchy since Journals are a requisite for promotion . . . .

So don't assume certain conditions to be absolute in all cases. Exceptions do occur . . . .

P:S ==> Even the late DR Hansel of Maths dept. was a known rebel who refused to publish a work if that was the only thing that will guarantee his promotion. Despite his impeccable computer wizardry and great statistical skills, dude passed without getting even promoted to Lecturer 1 . . .
His voluminous Thesis is as good as useless if he can't publish atleast a paper from it. Why on earth will a PhD holder in the academic environment not have atleast a publication to his credit, even if its a co-authored work.

I asked the same question. There's no way one would do a PhD and not teach. Where are our president's ex students? None has shown up. There's something fishy in the Zoology certificate of his.
Very wrong sir. you can have a phd without teaching. Rather, u can't be a professor without teaching. Thanks

very different, here they want and help you to pass,i did 3 exams i bio, maths and chemistry,in bio i have 95.5(not so simple because most students score 50+), maths 73 (thats a c because A is 90 to 100 and f is 59 to 0) and i had 97 in chemistry(am very good in chemistry)

the problem is the assignments and cost of books a chemistry and biology test books each cost $400,chemistry manual $120 and some other stupid books
That grading system get as e be. I guess one has to be exceptionally brilliant/intelligent to get good grades.

Ehm! Is it a must one buy those books?

yes i did,2011/2012 session
in that case, we took csc221 together.

How's studies like in ur new school as compared to oau..?
Nairaland / General / Re: Padeolu's Crib by padeolu: 3:12am On Oct 06, 2014
Ipledge:
not 3 hundred level,200l plus pre degree,ASUU strike and many other strikes

i was studying microbiology, but i took 5 chemistry courses and 4 chemistry practicals,i only took two mcb courses, sat for only one exam, while i was expecting A i saw D,and the lowest i have ever had in chm is B...so i decided to go with chemistry
what year did u gained admission into oau, I have some friends that finished from micro..

That's the unfortunate thing about oau, u don't ever get a grade ur expecting. Its either ur expecting an "F" && u miraculously get an "B" or ur expecting an "A" n u get a " D".

I guess you took csc221 from computer dept..

ASUU && SUG is just the bad side of OAU, atleast one of them must alt the session every calender year..

OAU.. Wow! Now its obvious we've so many things in common. We might ve met.

I stay in Ife. I school in OAU. M.Sc tho.

Oh after 3 years..wow! I know how frustrating OAU can be at timesalways.. But then leaving at 300L is weird. What course were u studying then?

If I had known, I'd av considered any other school also. Am almost 3years into my Msc prog && unlike other schools where its just 18months.

You are a learner. If you know what you are doing you will realize its impossible for a man to get tired of nacking a girl. Its an endless ride. You probably ran out of ideas and you never truly liked the girl in the first place.
you can either keep assuming or believe my lies.

She's a hot n cool, also good in bed. But I got tired of her && then I moved on.

Sure, you are right, we seem to have a lot in common. Ehm, like taste when it comes to gels. Yeah, I can be funny at times, but, some think I'm pompous && rude (we all r entitled to our opinions tho)..
