Thanks bro. Pls can u help me find out the school she is doing her degree, and the process involved. Thanks bro
she's doing hers in a private nursing school, they r all acredited. The process isn't that hectic. Their minimun requirement is school cert which will b evaluated by d south african qualifications authority(SAQA). Then immediately its completed, which takes between 10 to 20 working days, u take it back to d nursing school, they'll then process ur apllication, get medical cover, make d necessary payments(u don't have to pay everything at once) then they issue u admission letter which u'll use to apply for ur study permit. When u get ur permit u can open a bank account. Then ur study resumes.

Nah man, you are lying hey, Nigerians do live in slums, the whole Berea, Yeovil, Hillbrow area is made up of slums and that's where you find African immigrants the most, and no again there are informal settlements and townships, there two aren't the same, Soweto for instance is not a slum
do u even know the meaning of SLUM? How can u call hillbrow, berea, yeovil as slums? Its like saying harlem in newyork is a slum. Alexandra is a slum that's why they r called townships/informal settlements bcus using d word slum would not b cool. U call a place as well developed as hillbrow, berea and yeaovil slums. Smh

How much would it cost for someone who has a diploma in Nursing to do degree in SA, and how many years would it take. Are their jobs for nurses.
my friend's wife(both nigerians) dey do nursing now. She's in her fourth year now but not at unisa. D thing can cost u between 15 to 20 thousand rand a year(that's over 400thousand naira) but once u finish, job dey well well. My friends wife has been getting employment offers since her second year but she turned them down bcus she wants to go further in studying. She just finished one practical at one hospital and they have given her an open offer for when she finishes her studies or she can start immediately.

Do you know bitterness and hate is a major cause of unanswered prayers and a major criteria for the candidacy of Hell Fire ?

Oh My God, Why are u Igbos portraying yourselves as a tribe full of hate, spite, unforgiveness and strife ?

If you allow devil to use this to takeover your heart, God will not say it is because you are being ethnic loyal oh, Your Prayers would not be answered and You risk being a candidate of hell fire.

Common, Be it Biafra, be it, Nigeria, or anywhere, once this one life ends, it is over o. Go and ask Azikiwe, Awolowo, Balewa, and all other fallen heroes whether they are oduduwa or biafrans now. They have left it all.

You guys should learn to shake off hate. My candid advice. i'm not a saint too, but i'm looking past all these now, and that is where i think we are better dn you guys.
good write up and advise until d last statement. U still found a way to tell someone u r giving advise that" u think u r better than him/her/them". Na wao!

What about studying on shot programs in south African UNISA to be precise. How must is the tuition fees for a diploma in Engineering and what about food in SA, how much can one survive in a month, also what are the chances of geting a job in SA for someone holding a South African diploma in Engineering certificate. If you have an idea of any other good shot program or company training that have a high job opportunity in SA please tell me about it. eg like safety and pipeline training some companies do here in Nigeria.
there r a lot of short courses u can do at unisa, there is one for 6 months, one year, 2,3 years. It all depends on what u wanna do. U fit get employment here after studying if u r very good at it. I know some naija pikins who get their own companies(construction)here. Engineering pays here. I bet u, if u stand out academic wise, a lot of construction companies go even dey track u before u finish ur studies. As per d fees for studying at unisa I think google will help u better. The best part is that u don't even have to pay everything cash. U r given a time frame to pay. There are a lot of professional nigerians here doing very well in their fields. No discrimantion whatsoever, if u can deliver, everyone patronises u, blacks, whites, indians, chinese, coloureds.

emmm life partnership whats that?
its another term for live in lovers. Its marriage without actually being married. But u have to go to the lawyers to make it official in the form of notarial agreement whereby d SA citizen agrees to b ur spouse and cater for u and vice versa. But u two have to live together, own stuffs together bcus d immigrations do conduct random checks on u two.

at last, yeah i have heard about this God forsaken place called Highbrow. but ALL countries around the world have such places. so you mean to say, Nigerians that are desperate or ended up in the streets in SA dont even dream of going to live there?!
hillbrow is not a slum. Hillbrow has one of d best collection of skyscrapers. When u r outside d city of joburg and u take a look at d CBD u'll realise how beautiful it is both during d day and at night. Hillbrow was so nice that when SA blacks got their freedom it was d first place they started living in. The only problem with hillbrow is d people living in hillbrow, they don't keep it as clean as d rest of joburg CBD,there is prostituting going on, a lot of night clubs. What I meant was nigerians don't live in the slums no matter how poor they r.

how can one get a permit n for how long
Nb is it renewable?
getting a permit here is easy if u have the proper documentation. If u r here to study and u have completed d admission process with ur school and they issue u an admission letter, u take that letter to south african home affairs for a study permit. U also need to have medical cover for this which u can pay for and obtain once u have ur admission letter. It takes less than a month to b issued this permit and for how long is determined by how long ur admission is for. U can also get a permit by marriage or life partnership(a lot of nigerians do this one bcus most of us find it easier). U can do a work permit which requires letter of employment, there is business permit. Most of these permits r issued and r renewable every 2 or 3 years. And if u here for 5 years(they count from d first day u r issued ur first permit) u can now apply for permanent residency. This one na d koko bcus once u get ur permanent residency u r automatically a south african bcus u can now apply for their identity card, citizenship and their passport.

have ur friends visited home in the last five years? Have they built or atleast renovated their family homes? If ur answer is NO then na wash. My guy, if u have d right kind of money there are a lot of businesses u can do here. U can b a car dealer, u can have ur own nightclub or bottle store. That nightclub/bar and bottle store u make huge returns on those cus southy people can drink walahi. Morning, afternoon, night. Infact from dusk till dawn. Besides d environment is nice, southy is not called african europe or europe in africa for nothing.

then where exactly do you think these xenophobic issues are worst? was it not in Johannesburg (and also Durban) that the worst of the worst happened few months ago? is J/burg safe for Africans ?! what was done to fix this lingering issue about these South Africans racists who attack and kill africans (en masse) every few yrs?

btw: you didnt answer my question:" are nigerians labelled as criminals/drug dealers or not (thanks to the little few bad apples)?
let me help that guy cus I also live in joburg. First and foremost d xenophobia attacks happened in places they call locations/townships or basically slums. Nigerians don't live in those slums no matter how koboless they r bcus that's where the worst of the worst in SA live. Some of these slums r pretty close to d highbrow areas. Zimbabweans, malawians stay in those kind of places. FYI those slums r like 5percent of joburg and these attacks on foreigners always happen in such places. Coming to d issue of nigerians and drugs, yes nigerians r seen as drug dealers but if u r not dealing on drugs then u have nothing to worry about, no one will discrimate against u. Eg, I sell cars, I go to auctions or places they sell accident damage cars, I buy one or two cars, fix them up and sell them. Sometimes in a month I sell upto 4 to 5 cars. A lot of nigerians, cameroonians r into that business too. I also do interpretation in law courts here in SA. Basically I am working for d government in a job that no south african can do. There r a lot of nigerians here doing real business, some r realtors, some r into importation, some have restaurants, some run night clubs, some have bottle shops, some r mechanics(if u r a mechanic come to SA,it pays). Bottomline is, if u r not into drugs bizness and u have ur permit, u have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Also, based on the 5 major human geographical divisions we have in Nigeria

The Core-northern part of Nigeria, the Middlebelt part, Eastern, Western & Niger deltan

Let's say Margaret Ekpo represents the Niger deltan region as an Ibibio
Ladi Kwali represents the Middlebelt region as a Gbagyi woman
& Funmilayo Kuti represents the Western (yoruba speaking region)

I'd like to hear from Igbos (easternerns) and the Hausa-fulanis (core-northernerns), who are the most influential Igbo & Hausa-fulani women that ever lived??
why do u people always tribalise everything?

Baba igbos don't actually care, we have been progressing since 1970 without any federal help. What has d central govt done for d igbos in 5 decades? Nada. Obasanjo did his worst to frustrate d igbos out of importation business but he couldn't. If u like bomb d Trade fair complex or alaba market, give it one year and those igbo traders will erect another shop, stock it full with goods and its bizness as usual. We don't need grants. So baba, do ur worst and make igbos more angry at this entity that is nigeria,be warned.
