Good evening, I graduated with a second class lower division 7 years ago and trust me it wasn't easy. Most of the job adverts in Multinational companies were for first class and second class upper division graduates only. I had to work in a startup to learn the ropes while I studied for my masters degree. The two things that kept me going were God's mercies and the fact that I knew I'm not a dullard. I might not be a first class material but I narrowly missed upper division because some lecturers decided to punish me with missing grades on three occasions. Long story short, I'm now in a better place and considering the calibre of people I have met and my achievements both in Nigeria and abroad, I sometimes feel like I'm dreaming. However, please do what you can to get good grades in school. My brother made a first class and was immediately recruited to one of the big four. Then again, what sets you apart is what's within. Regards, PalmTree |
