Do we really need more strikers? I think Man Utd would do well to get sound midfielders, the like of Modric.
My thoughts
Falcao is out and RvP's form fluctuates easily so that leaves us with only Rooney, Wilson and perhaps Depay. Do you now see the need for at least one more point man?

Anyway thanks for the comment. I have a few more articles on the blog incase you have some time on your hands. Thanks

The media has been agog with the news about David De Gea’s imminent move to Real Madrid but behind all that smoke screen, a couple more players are already packing their personal effects out of Old Trafford. By now most of you might be guessing its Robin Van Persie or even Angel Di Maria but does anyone know that one of our senior defenders...

To become a serious contender for next season’s Premier League title, Manchester United seriously need to shore up their attacking department. Last season, all their strikers, Wayne Rooney inclusive had one of the poorest seasons of their career and even though one could argue that the change in management and some other contingencies might have been the cause of our sloppy performance, it is still valid to say that if our strikers had put up more inspiring performances, we might not be waiting for a play-off victory to qualify for the Champions League...

As soon as it became obvious that Edwin Van Dar Sar was retiring from football, Sir Alex Ferguson despite having Ben Forster and Tomasz Kuszczak put out feelers for a replacement for the lanky Dutch. It wasn't long before the scouting team reported on a certain goalkeeper at Atletico Madrid and we later discovered that he had been on their radar for a few years. That young lad is David De Gea...

Standing well above six feet, he took charge of the defense for five English clubs and won 595 caps for both club and country, his name is Rio Gavin Ferdinand and sadly, he is retired.

Down the lane on Denmark Hill, London, England some 36 years back, Rio is born and if his folks didn't know they had a star on their hands, they soon got a clue when he enrolled at the West Ham United academy for his youth career shortly after been scouted by Frank Lampard (snr) in 1992... www.mancunianopinion..in/2015/05/tribute-to-rio-ferdinand.html?m=1
SportsA Peek Into Louis Van Gaal's Shopping List by PalmTree(op): 11:54am On May 31, 2015
Manchester United did quite well last season and in fact came agonizingly close to securing an automatic ticket to the next UEFA Champions League finals. Now this is not to say they can’t still join the elite European club clique next season particularly if they emerge victorious in the playoffs but still an average fan would not need a soothsayer to determine that Louis van Gaal still needs to get busy in the transfer market over the next few months. Luckily for the Dutchman, the money bags at Old Trafford aren't in panic mode so he should get not less than nine figures to play around with. Now the question is who should be on the boss’s shopping list... www.mancunianopinion..in/2015/05/a-peek-into-louis-van-gaals-shopping_30.html?m=1
SportsA Veteran's Recipe For A Greater Di Maria by PalmTree(op): 2:42pm On May 30, 2015
www.mancunianopinion..in/2015/05/a-veterans-recipe-for-greater-di-maria.html?m=1

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has given a down to earth opinion on Angel Di Maria’s first season at Old Trafford. The 26-year-old Argentine switched from Real Madrid in what is about the most expensive deal in the history of the English Premier League and although few pundits wondered why he commanded as much as £59.7m, many couldn’t agree more with Manchester United’s decision to bring him on after a wonderful season with the Spanish giants that culminated in clinching the tenth Champions League title. However, the major reason why many Old Trafford faithful rooted for the Di Maria deal was the urgent need to have a playmaker, the standard or something close to Cristiano Ronaldo or even Eric Cantona.

Unfortunately, the fans would be treated to a rude shock when their poster boy got so shy that he couldn’t take on even the most vulnerable defenders in the Premier League. If he found it hard to blend into the play style at Manchester, he would have been forgiven but after a breath-taking display in his first home game against the Queens Park Rangers the fan’s appetite was already whet and his sudden dip in form left the fans shouting blue murder.

The hitherto flamboyant winger could only complete seven starts for the Red Devils and as if that wasn’t enough, he earned himself an expulsion in the FA Cup quarter-final defeat to arch-rivals, Arsenal. Manchester United sure made some mistakes in that match but Di Maria was the man who got sent off and hence he gets the largest chunk of the blame.

Scholes in his column in the Independent noted that despite a three goal haul in five games, the Premier League most expensive player failed to live up to what was least expected of him. He however maintained that Louis van Gaal and the board must do all they can to keep the Argentine on board seeing as Paris Saint-Germain have resumed their interest in the winger’s services.

The frustrations of the veteran midfielder have been visibly shared by many pundits including yours sincerely and it is conspicuous that the former Real Madrid star had it tough settling down into life at the theatre of dreams, but it would do him a lot of good if he took the time to access his first season at the club and commit to a quick recovery plan to get back to his former level.

He remains the best player in the 2014 Champions League final and without his brilliance, the La Decima would still remain a mirage hence nothing would be nicer than a regular display of such committed and purposeful style of play to repay Manchester United and its faithful for the trust reposed in him.

On a final note, the Red Devils are likely to be competing in next season’s Champions League and as such could use some quality, here is where Di Maria comes in. It is now left to the coaching staff and the player to work together to bring out the quality that attracted half of the club’s war chest last season and perhaps a lot more if he had joined Paris Saint-Germain.

How far?
You may want to give it a rest. They usually contact those they want two or three weeks after the PLI and PI. If you are lucky you could still be contacted if the requirements of another job opening matches your profile provided you specified such on their website. This is not to say you still can't be contacted for the A.A position.

Best regards

PoliticsRe: David Mark May Still Get The Senate Presidency? by PalmTree(m): 1:22pm On Apr 01, 2015
bigtt76:
I doubt if that position would still be zoned to North Central with the President coming from North, Vice President from South West, it won't be logical to place the Senate Presidency in North Central rather it might go to South East while the Speaker position goes to North Central.

In the case where Senate Presidency goes to North Central, then Kwara State (Olushola Saraki) might be favored owing to his fulani background ....just my opinion though.
Your analysis is quite spot on but Saraki is more of a better choice. and no, he isn't from a fulani background... his father migrated from Ogun state but was accepted into Ilorin politics because of his prolific grassroot politics.
