LOL! Pep is now a trainer?

Or are you saying Mouirinho trained the likes of Terry how to be a footballer? What I wouldn't see on this forum!

The fact is Pep saw these players and loved them regardless of their hard man tackling and decent ball skills! He signed some of them and signed Vidal as well!

Top coaches are supposed to bring in the players they like and create a tactic that can bring out the best in them and make them evolve right or am I getting these wrong here? Smh!
Look bro I didn't say Pep was a a trainer, I was just letting you know that the defenders didn't make their cut as elite under him If they had they wouldn't have only been good at possession keeping.
For me I believe Stones problem isn't ability but mentality and decision making which could be improved on with the right tutelage.

For your second paragraph I am not implying That Pep dosent like defenders that can tackle but rather he prefers defenders who have the ability to play high line and press, have good ball control, and be able to play across the backline and even mildfield since the kind of play he likes prevents opponents from seeing more of the ball. Versatility and ball coordination comes first with him tackling is an added bonus.

Your third is the highlight of my problem with him- first he ships out Hart for Bravo who can't even make a save to save his life, Second ships out mangala and brings in Stones- a case of jumping from frying pan to fire, buys a Gundogan who has seen more of the fitness clinic than some Nigerian medical rehab students. Every ln thing is going kaboom and he seems not to know what to do. His attack is one of the best in the league, his defence to me is average but they can still do besides he is known for promoting youth surely there are young defenders that should be able to deputise until season end and still make top four like that if man united.
For me Pep is good just the fact that he could manage big stars and be able to dominate with them mostly if not completely is commendable but then for him to enter into the book of legends like Sir Alex and Carlos Ancelotti he has to show he is flexible tactically and be able to shine against better opponents or mates above all suceed with in the epl with city then I agree he is legend and not just succeeding because he always has the better squad. Though it goes without saying that i pray he loses for so many reasons and the fact that everybody would do always have a blemish is another jinx ge might not break.

abidal was not even bought by pep. Dude was already a very good fullback defensively before pep took charge.

For me I am holding my comments until season end, if things aren't improved he would get it from me hard because I feel his decision making has been poor. But I would like to say All parties have credible points and there is no one that is right or wrong. Since there are always factors we don't know.

Pep trains defenders to be good on the ball and the likes of Puyol, Abidal, Masherano were what?

The fact that he made that claim in the media doesn't negate the fact that he's already rueing his decision to sign Stones. He already dropped Stone in some games but his other options were just as worse!

One thing I noticed about Pep is that he hardly criticised his players in the media and could be the reason he told the media that he doesn't train his players to tackle as a sweeping blanket comment to protect his players! He could have thrown Stones under the bus but he didn't.

Anyway, na his problem be that! Nobody told him not get beta players in the summer!
Puyol, Abidal, Mascherano were not trained by Pep. Puyol was already featuring for Barca even when Pep was still a player, Mascherano was a DM at Liverpool before he was was bought, Abidal case u dont know much about him but I wont be surprised to Find he learnt his training else where and not under Pep. Ball-playing comes before the tackling ability for for Pep

So Ferguson despite having Ronaldo the world best player cant stand Pep and Messi, Wenger another EPL legend cant stand Messi

Man city was a punching bag for Barcelona until City bought Pep. City that couldnt get a draw vs Barcelona suddenly won with Pep as coach

Playing field levelled? No be Pep tilt the playing field to start with? abi no be the same Barcelona wey dey go 2 season trophyless

For 2 seasons before Pep, Barcelona was eliminated by English clubs, Pep came into Barca and turned EPL clubs into chewing sticks
Except for Chelsea and maybe Liverpool.

Ibime has a valid point just the wrong reason. If we could sell these players for the quoted amounts, I believe we could get similar or better players and turn in a tidy profit. I mean apart from Costa, we don't have another consistent goal scorer, hazard for all his wizardry on the ball simply doesn't score enough goals. If we could get 80m for Costa, 75m for willan and 70m for hazard, we could easily buy griezman/mahrez, lukaku and sanchez/payet. These are constant source of goals. And we will turn in a profit while keeping Pedro as a good backup.

Meanwhile for this transfer window, we desperately need midfielders!, I don't know why we're not being linked to anyone one at all, we're very thin in the middle.
I disagree once we sell those players at that price, other clubs would skyrocket their player price when we bid for them knowing we have the cash and urgent need for Players.

What would be going through Pep's mind presently. I don't know how Bravo became this useless.
Anyway 7points clear at the top, I think the sixth PL title is just around the corner.
