Expert17: Why is Ramos playing PK ahead of Hazard
You think Benzema and Bale dnt wanna play pk ...
If you think Lampard will play pk ahead of Aguero,..I cnt help you agn Hazard can't play pk ahead of Ramos due to Calibre, Seniority and also Ramos is a good pk taker. Ororo himself had to share penalties with Alonso and co when he arrived at Madrid. The games Aguero misses per season and the penalties he misses means he can't compete with Lamps in that regard. |

nihilistjnr: KDB for me sha
Lampard plays a different role to KDB.
KDB is like a midfield general with less focus on goal scoring, and more on passing
Lampard is a goal scoring midfielder with more focus on movement
KDB I think brings more balance to team structure than Lampard Lampard freakish fitness edges it in his favour as far as I am concerned. |

Ibime: Nothing to do with nostalgia.
Just because Eto played 17 years for Cameroon is what gives him these records.
In the glory years of 1998 to 2002 which is what matters he was a junior boy in Cameroon compared to Patrick Mboma who was the mover and shaker, the Yekini of his time and every team feared Mboma, not Eto. Mboma scored 4 goals in Olympics, Eto scored 1 for example.
In the mid-to-late 80s you can ask Nigerians who they dread facing in AFCON and they will tell you Milla. Nigeria always reach semifinal or final in the late 80s only to be knocked out by Milla.
Roger Milla had 43 goals in 77 games for Cameroon Patrick Mboma had 33 goals in 57 games Samuel Eto had 56 goals in 118 games
I believe some arithmetic can point you to the senior men from the above.
World Cup, Roger Milla is undisputed.
I try not to use club form to judge players from different generations as European acceptance of African players, and African cultural adaptation to the highest level of European football is a recent phenomenon that only really started accelerating in the mid.1990s and only became established from the mid-2000s. The best African player during Roger Millas era could be playing in Vitoria Setubal or RKC Waalwijk. It was the likes of Arsene Wenger who started to promote African players in Europe in the 1990s and demand decent pay for them starting with George Weah. So just because Eto played for Barca while Milla played for lesser sides, I will use their Cameroon exploits only to compare them within an African context. So right especially given the way African football has deteriorated both on for club and country competition. Gone were those days performance at Afcon or CAF champions league or World cup helped a player to win African best player. |

afrodoc2: Common misconception. Ronaldo won the best player award. I was going to quote him until I saw your post. Zidane won that final with his headers but thuram, desaily and the parapo defence really neutralized choked Brazil's attack. |

Almost of ten pages of football discussion. Quite interesting to see. My own Eleven would be:
Cech
Ferdinand Vidic Terry
Beckham Keane Lampard A. Cole
Henry Shearer Giggs
Beckham is there for the sake of my love for him. It should be Ronaldo but I got no love for him when he was in EPL. |

Jodera: True tho about number 2. Especially playing with messi, that would have robbed them of their assist.
But I feel the most amazing of all is no10. Except if the guy doesn't have a long playing career Lineker was one of England's best strikers and had long career. He probably had a calm temperament and was a clean player. |

Melvyn11: All those are okoto meow in fancy language my g. Lampard Epl record remains 102assists in 609matches. When compared to others those figures are laughable. Ok let me even indulge you out of the goodness of my heart. so lampard produced only 5 assists in 182matches for West Ham and City? Exactly + 30goals.A great percentage of which were as subs. Not the best of stats but still okay for young player + pensioner |
