nihilistjnr: funny enough I was listening to Kris Boyd, the kilmarnock striker talking about Steve Clarke, the new Scotland manager, only 2 days ago
He said that Steve Clarke would tell his players whenever they played a good team that if they can't match their opponents in skill, they should match them in workrate.....
no wonder Celtic win the league every year...see team talk ffs Lol all Celtic would have to do is trick them out and pass through their gra gra. |

I still don't get this Morata issue at Juve o. If He was bought at Conte's insistence how come he left Juve complaining about Transfer policy. I mean Juve board would have had meetings with him and knew about his mindset and surely wouldn't have wasted money on a player wanted by a Manager on his way out except He was their signing. |

Eruditor: Arsenal did not make it. Liverpool did. But all 4 teams had < or = 87points.
This year, the league winner had 98points. Despite having 2 UCL finalists. So wining the league was no mean feat.
You are helping me make a strong case. Thanks. The points total isn't what matters but the difference between the points of each team. 07/08 falls during the era of dominance of the big four and not one season goes with 3 out of the 4 going toe to toe for the title. Man United - 87 Chelsea - 85 Arsenal - 83 Liverpool - 76 This season Man city - 98 Liverpool -97 Chelsea - 72 Tottenham -71 The league was certainly more competitive then than this season. |

Eruditor: You should limit your reasoning power to politics. Every other thing is just claptrap. In 2007/08 United and CFC first and 2nd in the league faced themselves in the finals. So the only true competitor Fergie had was CFC.
In this season, the EPL has 2 finalists different from the one that won the league. It infers that there are stronger teams in the EPL now than there was in 2007/08 season. Oh really. Only Liverpool went toe to toe with City, the others had to settle for the other two spots as early as February now compare to 07/08 where the United, Chelsea, Arsenal went toe to toe for the title and all three made it to the semis of the UCL. |

MRTA7: Dybala swap isnt happening.
Also not point us going for Dybala. He's just a younger Mata. Not fast not strong and can't play wide. How can he be a younger mata when he is so poor at playmaking? |

Eruditor: But he was used as a winger for the most part this season and scored at least 9 goals in all competitions. He did not reduce their total goals and in fact, according to his manager, was the best player this season.
If his fraud manager could use him in that role you said he won't be good at to win 98points, should that manager not get any credit? His best performance came in midfield especially the 2nd leg against Liverpool. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Leicester City Vs Chelsea (0 - 0) On 12th May 2019 by pamcode(op): 6:40pm On May 10, 2019 |
TEAM NEWS Leicester pair Danny Simpson and Shinji Okazaki could make farewell appearances on Sunday, with both out of contract and set to leave the club this summer. Matty James and Daniel Amartey remain absent with respective Achilles and ankle problems. Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is a doubt after limping off during the Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night. Ruben Loftus-Cheek should be available despite suffering cramp in that game.
MATCH FACTS Head-to-head Leicester won the reverse fixture 1-0 and are vying to complete the league double over Chelsea for the first time since 2000-01. However, Chelsea have won on six of their seven competitive visits to the King Power Stadium, with the exception being a 1-2 defeat in Leicester's 2015-16 title-winning campaign. This is the 100th league meeting, with Chelsea winning 46 times to Leicester's 25. Leicester City Leicester have won four of their past five home league matches, one more than they managed in their previous 12 attempts at the King Power Stadium. Their haul of 16 points over the last eight games has only been bettered by Manchester City and Liverpool. The Foxes have only won their final Premier League fixture in three seasons out of 12 (D3, L6). Brendan Rodgers has faced Chelsea 11 times and never won (D5, L6). Jamie Vardy has scored each of Leicester's last three goals in all competitions against Chelsea. Chelsea Chelsea could go nine successive Premier League away matches without a clean sheet for the first time since February 2001. Their only away victory in eight attempts this season against a side currently in the top half of the table came at Watford on Boxing Day (D1, L6). The Blues are in danger of losing their final top-flight fixture in consecutive campaigns for the first time since 1992 and 1993. Eden Hazard has been directly involved in more Premier League goals than any other player this season, with 16 goals and 15 assists.
