It depends on your personal itinerary, what you'll be doing in Canada, if it's tourism, if it's family visit. Tourism will require accommodation in an hotel/motel, family visit could either host you or you still need to book an hotel 350 - CAD 2,000, + flight ticket CAD1,500 - CAD 2,500 (According to your budget, date of flight and airline etc), + food/money at hand CAD 600 - 1,000,
CAD 2,450 - CAD 5,500

Depending on your situation and how well you can budget, you can bring the figures outside that set values. (You can decrease or increase).

Hola, please have any recent ppr receivers acknowledge seeing their travel documents (travel documents number, expiry date and issuing country) on their tracker before getting their ppr letter in their main application portal.

I believe this is just a situation of misunderstanding either intentional, legal or otherwise where the vo is confused as to how you have access to N9m which has not been linked or explained as to how it fits with your claimed employment/business.
Whereby you need to restructure the money to fit receipts, salary paystubs, contract payments etc with affidavits so the vo knows the money belongs to you and not borrowed and that its your savings accumulated from either your salary, business dealings etc etc.
So basically, link that money to your business/employment. Voila.

Hello everybody. Recently I've been so confused especially because of my academics.

Last year, after completing WAEC and NECO, my mom and I were talking about schooling abroad and we decided that I should make some research with my phone. This research started November 2023. After making my research for about 2 months, to understand the educational system in some countries like US, UK, Canada, the Caribbean and Australia, I finally came to a conclusion in January that I wanted to school in Canada so I did further research on Canadian Universities and finally decided and picked University of Manitoba. And then did further research on how to get a Canadian Study permit. (After going through alot of things I saw on the IRCC website, I finally understood, at least to an extent).

So I discussed with my parents about everything and what the whole process entails: from gaining admission into a DLI and applying for the Study permit, I told them the tuition was about $23,000 estimate and that I needed at least $20,630 as proof of funds. And after hearing that, they said it was ALOT of money. My dad told me to calculate everything I needed to get there and get back to him. After doing the whole calculation with my mom, I concluded that 60M Naira would be enough for the tuition and other fees, POF, accomodation, flight and others. Meanwhile, I had already submitted my application (did it myself), it was just my application fee left. We didn't want to pay the $120 application fee yet until we were sure that we would do the whole process.

I discussed with my parents and they said it was alot but they could try to get it. I honestly believe that studying abroad is not a do or die affair but is there any harm in trying? We could try, maybe it would turn out to be one of the best decisions for me and my family. If not, I already have back-up plans (I registered for JAMB) Other than that, my parents have always wanted to sponsor me to a school overseas (I'm the first child so yeah they've always wanted it).

They could get the money but I wanted to apply for September intake 2024 (because it's obviously the best intake) and I think it's a very short time interval because I should have drawn a study plan at least 2 years before I wanted to leave. I feel like if I rush things, my visa could get denied and it would just be a wastage of time and money.

I'm just 16 years old, I'll be 17 by 16th of June, 2024. And I don't really want to waste time in my education because the clock is ticking. So I don't know, should I just wait till next year, September 2025 or do you think I should go ahead with the process this year. I need honest opinions because it would be really useful. Alot of you are pretty much experienced than I and my parents are, so your advice would be really helpful.

Also, if you know any way I could be able to get proof of funds and tuition (it could be through a loan) and get visa approval, please share.

My advice is, if you really want a foreign education, based on your financial situation, research about Europe, there are free tuitions for international students depending on the eu country and even if you have to pay tuition, it wouldn't be to the point of taking out a huge loan (which is a huge risk considering the world economy right now). It's up to you to choose between taking out a loan (which international loans are not mostly present for Nigerians) or you research about Europe, East Asia (japan, s korea, china etc), Noth Anerica (Mexico/Carribeans) etc or you school here and then do masters later. Due to your age, you want to choose a safe country which is paramount as the world is not all rosy. Ukraine had cheap schools but I'm sure you know it's a battleground rn, Russia is also a good country but we don't know what's going to happen pending this war, Belarus, Poland, etc all border the fighting ground so not exactly feasible pending this war. Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, Greece, Lithuania etc are all feasible countries in Europe including UK, and Scotland.

I'll advise you to make up your mind quick so as not to waste your years.

On tracker,background check in progress,while eligibility hasn't started yet.
The wait is tiring
It has even exceeded the processing time.

Most likely a scam, take the interview, if the interviewer/s is/are mostly white/foreign, probably legit. Proceed with caution. No legit company would ask for unnecessary money.

So how long is the lowest reply anyone here has seen concerning visitors visa/tourist visa ppr.

your budget, you can add an extra 100/200 cad (2200 cad) to your budget, as funds available for travel etc, but they are requesting for money allocated for this particular travel. oh and you can double it as suggested above. just read it.

I received this today. The content of the Correspondence letter is (RE: validity of your biometric information).

It says on the first circled blue that final decision was made today 15th December but it went on to say "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made". Please can anyone help to explain? Because the Correspondence Letter didn't say anything about decision.

it's likely to be a ppr request next. What's your profile, any uk/us visas? What was your pof? Is it tourism, conference or family visit?

From experience, the two refusals I got in 2019, the BVL came a before the corresponding letters that contained the refusals. The approval (PPR) I got this year came same day and same time with the BVL. Just my observation, your case might be different.

Purpose was study, Pof 30m… no family reference

Make the new application without regards to the refused one (list your past refusals though). Then make sure to get family ties (any close family member) to make a reference letter and how important your bond is physically. Then you can get a church or mosque's reference letter (religious ties) that you attend. Then pictures can also articulate your business. Get a picture of you at your business if possible, tenancy agreement of your business occupancy in your name if possible, house lease in your name if possible (and if you own, proof of ownership). ?These are just supporting documents alongside your application. If you have problem with adding them all to fit the upload size limit, then ask and I could help. (that's if your doing this yourself). If you have a partner here (that helps) or kids, business partners, club membership etc

On a previously refused application,

Employment documents were; offer, confirmation, promotion & reference letter from “company name ABC” , MEANWHILE “company name ABC” is owned by applicant but applicant never indicated in the previous application.

How do we change or indicate ownership as the CEO in a new application as opposed to the business executive position previously claimed without contradicting information?

CAC registration documents are in the applicants name

You might be right but get it in mind that applications from Nigeria are always treated differently.
All those things you see on their site might not entirely work for applications from this part of the world.

I believe it's plain law, they can be sued etc so they operate within the law regardless if it's third world country, I'm not saying they are perfect, of course it's at the discretion of visa officer. They need to tick some important thing off which include but not limited to:
Pof for purpose of visit (enough money to carry out purpose of travel)
Ties to country (employment, family, investment like real estate, etc)
Well thought out and articulated purpose of visit (itinerary)
Etc.
Like I said, it's all at the discretion of the visa officer. I've seen people with hefty money get denied.

according to few confirmed statistical observations, if you had a uk/is visa or have an active one, you might get response within a month or less. Minimum a week.

Besides, there's proof of regular income every month in my bank statement.

I think your POF is not sufficient, you should have atleast more than your travel budget cost left in your account, I guess

I was thinking that, but then it doesn't say that anywhere on their websites. Only that applicant must have money large enough to cover the costs of the travel. Applicant must have ties, which I submitted an investment statement with a 1 million investment in my workplace, 935k staff savings and joint ownership of a land worth 3m naira. I also submitted employment contracts, pay stubs, affidavits etc

1. I want to apply for visa for my child (less than a year). Am I to fill the representative form?

2. My spouse also wants to reapply (we applied same time last year but he was denied, I was granted) is it better for him to be the applicant for our child, or me seeing as I already have the visa. Bear in mind it is his financial documents that will be used as the proof of funds (just as it was the last time we applied), and he's the one that has family inviting us too.

3. Pls how can one make payments as I'm seeing from a few posts back that naira cards are no longer going through?

4. What additional documents will be beneficial to submit asides the regulars?

5. Also saw a few posts back that transmission fee is required for those already with biometrics if this is not going to be their first submission. How true is this? And if true, pls how do we go about it?

No3 answer: download chipper card app and apply for a dollar card, then load it with money and pay for your application, you can get dollars from them at parallel market rate or send dollars to your dollar card which costs $3. Voila.

Flight tickets for round trip
The CAC of the wife booming business
The husband offical letter from work place,confirming he will be using his annual leave period to travel to Canada,his pay slip,bank statement
Wife bank statement too,if the wife is going to b the principal applicant,a very good running account over period of3 or 6 month,no lump sum

While completing the application put 4k cad money that will b wih u in canada,then declare all your US and Canada previous refusal
