with irrigation u can... but u would need dry season specie seeds

one plot would need 1000 seeds... one hecter is 32plots... for 32plots u would need 32000 seeds for one hecter plus/ minus... 32000 seeds= 640grams... each cucumber stand may yield 5cucumber... remember plus/ minus oh... 32000*5=160k ...that is 160000 cucumber... u sell in bags but approximate one cucumber for 10naira or a slight more than u are aiming at 1.6mill... that's what u can make for a perfect harvest... the watermelon lord is here... from your write up shows how innocent and naive u are in the cultivating of watermelon... did I just hear u say u spread herbicides on ur crops? any way if that's what u spread on ur crops forget it ... u have killed them all. I pray its some thing else u spread on them... secondly u don't just buy anyhow seeds... there are hybride seeds developed for each season dry and raining season... any way I don't know what specie u have with u... wish I could tutor u but... many things are involved also. for the yellow leaves, what fertilizer have u applied since planting? and what fungicides have u used? if u have used any what quantity did u apply? with the answers I can prescribe treatment for them b4 u run away from farming hahahaha... good luck bro

I ve bin in farming long enuf to knw dat u dont mess with agriculture wen experimenting so my advice is dis,
Find a small portion to experiment using sack farming dis dry season probably on a plot. Since cumcumber is a short term crop it give u the chance to learn n improve b4 d rains sets in then u can now go and rent ur 1hec, armed with ur xperience u can nw plant.

As for watermelon if u dont get an expert to litraly walk u thru the process, frm planting to havestin, then OYO is ur name. With this i hope it help u

I am a water melon expert... and also do cucumber...firstly this 2crops you mentioned are wealth spinners, when I mean wealth spinners I really mean it. but so many things are involved. time, effort and the knowledge... more specially you need the knowledge. you need to be trained especially on water Mellon... when I began newly I was following mangams thread where he pulled every bodies attention to his experiment on watermelon but honestly many who followed knew how it all ended, some ran away from the stuff... on the same note many online called the watermelon ogbuanje crop and all sort of names. some cleared their backyards following mangams motivation and so many crashed alongside mangam... below are my cucumber sack farming I snapped that when they were 4days old... I have studied all the different species of watermen and cucumber and the most that suit the different seasons... good luck on or sourjourn

I understand with u... one hecter is not a child's play... there are hybrid seeds meant for this season... u can't just plant any seed u get, some do well at the raining season... any way there are a lot more u need to know... 2. I use only insecticide once weekly to spray

3. I don't use fungicide

OK fine! I don't know the length of damage done on the farm... u can never do water Mellon farming without having in mind fungicides... in as much as pesticiding is necessary so also fungiciding... get a good fungicide and spray on the farm... and it seems u are generous with ur insecticide. there is a specified amount in ml prescribed for all those chemicals, that's what u need to know b4 diving into watermelon farming... wish u good luck as u fungicide for rescue mission or good luck as u try again... water melon is the most lucrative crop once u know the secrets
