I have an e-book or handout on all this u asked here, my typing that here would take me a whole 4hours of typing... contact me if u care for the e-book or the manual script, however u can't plant water melon that same way by staking... they prefer to crawl on bare ground... good luck |

RealityShot: 3 cucumber plants in one sack: is that not overcrowded?
recommended spacing everywhere is 1 feet apart...hope it wont cause stunted growth?
lastly..where do we get good seeds in port harcourt?
thank you 3 cucumber plants in one sack is not over crowded sir... of course its not wise to plant one seed per hole... two is OK and three is not bad... why the reason for the one foot space? so that at first on the ground there would be no inter struggle of manure within the roots of the crop planted per hole, since I am not letting my cucumbers crawl on the ground why do I get worried of overcrowding when I see my cukes climbing up wards... simple advice... if u are not planting in sacks neither are u staking that means u would allow ur crops crawl on the ground better don't space by one foot... u would give them 3 foot spacing so as to avoid over crowding... see pix of my plants and tell me if there is anything like over crowding

Adet5: Gud morn great minds, i made some heaps that cover a plot of land, i am just waiting for rain to start planting. I need water Mellon seed urgently u can whatsapp me on 08077854900. Thanks in anticipation water melon is a very technical crop and most lucrative, bear in mind that u can't just plant any kind of seeds, that's what the watermelon gurus would not tell u, u can try farming water melon for ages and u would never make a success. just a tip of the ice berg, there are seeds for the rainy season and there are seeds for dry season. u don't plant the right seeds at the wrong season. secondly, in contemporary times u can not do water melon farming without chemical application. I prepared an e-book that comprise all u need for a succesful water melon farming... if u are interested u can whatsapp me at 08068018201... I am a water melon and cucumber farmer. u can trust my info... its first class info. |

Jessica nwanba, you just succeeded in shooting sporadically without target, the name of the priest makes your allegation substantial, if you have been asulted by a catholic priest, report to the appropriate quarters for investigations and if the priest is found guilty then he is to be punish by the procession of the canon law, either he is defrocked or suspended... the tone of your text sounds more tarnishing than filling a report. |

Xzbit91: There is nothing nicely written here.
It is not just you my brother, I almost felt like an slowpoke reading this thrash. Many people commenting here - in fact the whole front page didn't read the article, they were more concerned with chidimma.
OP, it is not by force to start a blog, don't post spun articles as original content; this will rather hurt your blog. The reason someone will visit your blog is to get answers to questions bothering a particular subject (in this case: how to start cucumber farming).
How do you make readers go through your content when it is not legible, riddled with inappropriate grammar and wrong syntaxes?
I came here to learn a thing or two about this business but ended up taking nothing away. Your priority should be to communicate with your readers, the traffic will inevitably follow because you're providing value.
Please, let us learn to do things the right way: whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. I really don't blame him, I blame he that brought the text to front page |

pamdaniel: on each 5gram I get about 4bags of cukes(25kg) bags and each bag is sold at 4k-4k5 or more depends on the area and location... let's say 4bags of harvested cukes from 5grams is sold at #4000, total possible income from 5grams would be #16,000. on a plot of land u are planting 8satchets of 5grams it then means that #16,000× 8= #128,000... multiply by 15plots that's a hecter... that's the lucrativity the op is talking about... God Bless Nigeria, God bless Farmers and God bless the Op... capital needed for a plot. I would use my environment as a case study. (environment) = Owerri land lease for a plot= #2000 purchase of 50grams seed= #11,000 land clearing = 2000 Herbiciding= #1500 just to purchase chemical, I do the herbisiding my self planters =#2000 other chemical$ =# 5000 startup capital for a plot = #23,500 profit from a plot = #128,000- #23,500= #104,500 |

Agriculture › Re: Cucumber Farming In Nigeria – How To Start The Business by pamdaniel(m): 2:18pm On Mar 07, 2017 |
pamdaniel: nicely written! but too much grammar for the non grammar individuals. for the common village farmer's understanding, cucumber farming is very lucrative and short time to yield, within 40- 50days you are already smiling to the bank, I am a practical cukes farmer and I am happy I am, if you are considering what to plant this season cucumber is the best option. for a hecter of farm land you would need 24,000 seeds. a hecter is 15plots 15plots ÷24,000 seeds= 1600 seeds on a plot of land. hybrid seeds come in 5grams, 10grams and 50grams.... on each 5gram u have 200seeds, plus minus... so u would be needing 40- 50 grams for a plot... on each 5gram I get about 4bags of cukes(25kg) bags and each bag is sold at 4k-4k5 or more depends on the area and location... let's say 4bags of harvested cukes from 5grams is sold at #4000, total possible income from 5grams would be #16,000. on a plot of land u are planting 8satchets of 5grams it then means that #16,000× 8= #128,000... multiply by 15plots that's a hecter... that's the lucrativity the op is talking about...
