Truth is,some companies are not comfortable with the Idea whereby a candidate will contact their HR,while some companies won't mind,so it all boils down to the policy of the Company that interviewed you.I think you should exercise more patience.Cheers

Good you have done some interviews.Most established companies take 2-3months for their recruitment process,so keep your hope Alive. Also,you should use this waiting period to start your ICAN if you are looking towards the Accounting section.Cheers

Thanks Sir.... have started my ican already..its d idleness that is killing me. I don't know if it's proper to contact the Human resource personnel bcus am sure the interview process is over... I wish I have an idea of d reason for the delay.

Am a graduate of Economics(2nd class upper) from Lagos State University and am in dire need of a job.... Although I just finished my youth service April staying at home for 2months has been like 2yrs... Have applied to several companies and been to an interview already but still awaiting feedback after 1month plus.
I had an experience in an account department while in service, details of my roles in the department are contained my cv. I have excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills as all these were further explored during my service year. Am also very good with Excel, Msword and PowerPoint and currently pursuing ican certification..
Most people have gotten their testimonies from Nairaland.... I pray I'll share my own testimony with u all soon.... thanks in anticipation.

It once happenedt to my sis, she sent ha frnd to use ha card,n ha frnd withdrew frm ha own acct as well, she put the money separately and started spending from hers, she gave my sis ha own money which was 500naira short,my sis told ha it wasn't complete, they both agreed she was short paid I said it wasn't possible, my sis sent a mail to ha back, they acknowledge it,apologize and refund d 500naira to ha acct. Wen she sent the mail I was still sayin is not possible I had to keep shut when she showed me the mail n d 500naira crdt alert. SO IT HAPPENS

It is very possible. A human being like you and I loads the ATM and ensures it works "24hrs" not the Holy Spirit, so mistakes are bound to happen.
If the clamp is bad, a wrong denomination is put in a cassette_ it would definitely under/over pay you. It is just a machine, programmed to do the bidding of the operator.

That being said, the onus isn't on you to prove it_ you report, that's all. After their reconciliation, an overage of the said amount you (and probably other customers) were short paid is meant to reflect, CASH. It's up to the ATM custodian to declare it (the good) or suppress it (the bad).

Noted.... Before this thread I thought it's not possible now I know otherwise.

It happened to me bro. I used a Wema bank ATM in calabar and was short - payed. For each transaction I did, I was short - payed 1k. I reported the matter to the bank but they claimed it's not possible. so to avoid stories that touch again, I confirm the money before leaving the premises. I don't care who is watching or waiting. ATM can't scammed me again!!!!

Ehyah... sorry bro... some banks might be aware and do the needful while some others feign ignorance

It's only d lucky few that got their money back at least from d info on this thread

I have experienced it... Back when access was intercontinental bank, it paid me 1k less. I went into the bank and complained, it was resolved and I was credited under 24hrs.

So it does happen.... haven't witnessed it yet and I pray I don't.

It happened to me around 2010 / 2011.

i was at first bank mobile bank infront of Ogudu police station at Kosofe LG in lag. It was around 7AM cos i was already on my way to work. I withdrew 10K but i observed it was to handy when i took it from the machine. i counted and discovered it was only 5k but i was actually debited 10K. i was puzzled.

so i tried to withdraw another 20k but it dispensed 10K. Then i knew something was wrong.It also happened to other customers that tried to withdraw. I had to wait till 8AM when they resumed to lodge a complain and they told me to fill a form which i did and left for work.

Around 10 AM, I got a call from their customer care apologizing and begging me seriously that the mistake is from them and shortly my account was credited with what was debited and never dispensed.

in my mind, i knew some of their I.T guys might get a querry for making such a silly mistake inputing wrong amount to dispense in that branch.

It is over possible. Former AfriBank near Wahum on Adeniyi Jones was over disbursing that it had to be shut down for weeks for it ti be rectified.

If TRUE... u must be very lucky then..How where you even able to convince them wen it's not that the security man/woman at d ATM was with you wen it happened

Sometimes it's good to go through the money If you can't count. Their are some Evil Bankers that mix 500 notes with 1000 note In the same casset so when the machine is paying you he wil pay you 500naira instead of 1k

Modified: From individuals experience on this thread it's possible but very rare....
Check your money after withdrawing but excuse yourself from the ATM for others to use while doing that.
Complain to the bank incase u are shortchanged and if they refuse to rectify it and it's a small amount not up to what it would cost to get to the bank leave it.... ur cost has outweighed the benefit.
