Foreign AffairsRe: Arrest Warrant For Ngobese-zuma And All Xenophobic South African Leaders. by panafrican(op): 11:37pm On Jun 08
andrewza:
Firstly why would they leave

Secondly what crime did the commit

Third you need to charge them in the country where the crime was committed
Well, a responsible head of state would act like this:
'My fellow citizens came to your country. You called on crowds to attack them. Following your directives, your people butchered, tortured, and traumatized them. Some were beaten in the streets, and their shops were burned down or ransacked. Because of this, I am issuing a warrant for your arrest. Wherever you travel, I will call on the host country to detain you and hand you over to my country, for you are a criminal. Furthermore, I will sign an extradition agreement with any country willing to arrest you. ;

A heated debate is unfolding across South Africa regarding regional development, migration, economic opportunities, and community growth.
Questions are being raised about how different provinces can work together to create jobs, improve infrastructure, and ensure equal opportunities for all citizens.
What role should local communities, businesses, and government play in developing under-resourced areas while maintaining social cohesion?
South Africa's future depends on unity, investment, and sustainable development for everyone.

Foreign AffairsArrest Warrant For Ngobese-zuma And All Xenophobic South African Leaders. by panafrican(op): 2:24am On Jun 08
All African countries whose citizens have been killed, brutalized, tortured etc in South Africa should issue international / domestic arrest warrants for Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and all the leaders of the violence against African migrants.

Let's make it clear : A foreign nation (such as another African country) can issue a domestic or international warrant for these criminals,
It can upload their names to global travel databases. If they try to fly to the U.S., Canada, Europe, or any other African country border agencies like the U.S. Customs and Border Protection or Canada Border Services Agency would flag their names instantly. They can be arrested upon arrival or instead of arresting them on behalf of another country, these nations can deny those criminals entry at the airport and put them on the next flight back to South Africa

The ongoing violence against African migrants in South Africa is a systematic campaign of targeted killings, occurring with a disturbing lack of police intervention. While the persecution of Jewish people in Nazi Germany was primarily carried out by the state via the Gestapo, the situation in South Africa is more horrifying because ordinary citizens are executing these killings in broad daylight. Pan-African armed forces should move swiftly into South Africa, secure all the borders out there , take all South Africans , put them on boats and ship them to the south pole. There is winter in South Africa, meaning South Africans going to live on polar icebergs won't hurt . They can stay there, no-one will miss them, you bet.

andrewza:
There about 1000 to 5000 south African in Nigeria mostly on short to medium term contacts. They not really immigrants like the 30 000 or so known Nigerians in south Africa.

The difrince is the African migrants in south Africa where south Africans in Nigeria typical go there for set employment contract period. Example a south African dive team might go there to work on oil rigs for 3 months do the job a return home a MTN engineer might have a contract for a year or two but the return date is fixed.

Where a African migrant in south Africa is working in some low level field and has no known return date since they dont want to return.
Bs. Just stay in South Africa. You don't want anyone in yours, do not go to other people's countries, that is it.

Nigeria police warn against reprisal attacks against South Africans
Story by Makuochi Okafor - BBC Africa •
Police in Nigeria have warned against reprisals targeting South African nationals or businesses following a wave of anti-migrant protests in South Africa.

The police urged Nigerians not to take the law into their own hands, after "reported attacks on Nigerians in South Africa". No such attacks have been reported but the warning followed a meeting of security and intelligence chiefs....
Several African countries have advised their citizens to remain vigilant, with Ghana recently evacuating hundreds of its nationals, citing safety concerns.
"We recognise the pain and anger caused by recent attacks on Nigerians abroad," Aliyu Giwa, a senior police spokesperson,
said in a post on X.

"As an institution dedicated to protecting Nigerian lives, we understand these concerns deeply," he noted.
Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce8prypdpz6o
Where was the Nigerian government when Nigerian migrants and other African migrants were being hunted down, killed, forced out of their homes, had their businesses burned, and saw their children driven out of schools by large-scale xenophobic mobs in South Africa, while the South African government stood there unwilling to stop the violence?

So, there are South Africans living and working in other African countries as well? We were led to believe that we were the only ones going to other people's countries.

South Africans should understand that actions have consequences. If people are mistreated, humiliated, and attacked, resentment will inevitably grow. History has shown that injustice often leads to demands for reciprocity. As the saying goes, "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

Foreign AffairsRe: ECOWAS Should Hold An Ad Hoc Meeting On South Africa by panafrican(op): 6:27am On May 30
andrewza:
You clearly not understand.

The government is not the ones behind the anti illegal immigrants. This not a government run movement.

The issue is that corruption has led to a lot of the issues.how can some one from Ghana get asylum in South Africa unless there is corruption.

Many foreign owned businesses do things on the cheap and illegally it why local companies suffer
There is more corruption of government elites in South African than Ghana.
No deep-pocketed Indian billionaires bought any Ghanaian president, unlike the historic institutional manipulation that occurred in South Africa under your own leadership. Before pointing fingers at Ghana, South Africans must acknowledge that their own nation’s institutions have been systematically hollowed out by high-level political corruption.

Seeking asylum or migrating does not automatically equate to a country being inherently corrupt. Ghana's northeastern border with Burkina Faso faces severe security threats from regional terrorist insurgencies, which displacement experts note force innocent citizens to seek safety elsewhere. Disagreeing with a government or fleeing instability is a universal human reality, identical to how thousands of white South Africans applied for refugee status in Western nations like the United States after leaving South Africa.

Concrete Examples of Deep-Seated Corruption in South Africa
To talk about corruption, you must first look at the documented realities within South African governance:

The Gupta Family "State Capture" (2009–2018) :
Former President Jacob Zuma allowed the wealthy, Indian-born Gupta brothers (Ajay, Atul, and Rajesh) to heavily influence state affairs.
The state-sanctioned Zondo Commission of Inquiry (2018–2022) confirmed they pocketed billions of rands, influenced the hiring of cabinet ministers, and manipulated state-owned entities like Eskom and Transnet

The Strategic Firing of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene (December 2015):
President Jacob Zuma abruptly dismissed Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene for refusing to approve financially disastrous, corrupt state projects—including a multi-billion-dollar nuclear deal and bailouts for South African Airways. He was temporarily replaced by an inexperienced loyalist, Des van Rooyen, sending the South African economy into freefall.

The Nkandla Homestead Scandal (2009–2014):
An investigation by the Public Protector titled "Secure in Comfort" revealed that Jacob Zuma used millions of dollars in public tax funds intended for "security upgrades" to build personal luxury amenities—including a swimming pool, amphitheater, and cattle kraal—at his private Nkandla homestead. The Constitutional Court of South Africa later ruled that he breached his oath of office.

The Travelgate Scandal (2004–2006):
More than 14 African National Congress (ANC) Members of Parliament, alongside dozens of other lawmakers, were criminally convicted and fined after pleading guilty to illegally using parliamentary travel vouchers worth millions of rands for personal luxury car rentals and private travel.

The presence of Ghanaian nationals abroad is a reflection of global mobility and regional security crises, not a justification for xenophobic finger-pointing from a country still recovering from systemic kleptocracy.
Foreign AffairsUngrateful Israel Exists Only Thanks To The United States. by panafrican(op): 4:36am On May 30
The United States has consistently served as Israel’s primary international backer since 1948. This relationship has evolved from early diplomatic recognition into a robust strategic alliance defined by billions of dollars in military aid, advanced technology transfers, and close intelligence coordination.

1. Massive Weapons Airlifts and Resupply Operations
The U.S. has provided critical, emergency weapons transfers during existential conflicts to ensure Israel maintained its military advantage

- The 1973 Yom Kippur War: When Israel suffered heavy armor and aircraft losses, President Richard Nixon ordered Operation Nickel Grass. This massive U.S. military airlift delivered over 22,000 tons of tanks, artillery, and ammunition directly to Israel, which successfully turned the tide of the war, some diplomats who asked not to identified said U.S. troops were involved.

-Modern Conflicts: Following the October 7, 2023 attacks, the U.S. established an extensive airbridge of cargo flights, fast-tracking precision-guided munitions, artillery shells, and interceptors to replenish Israel's depleted stockpiles.

2. Safeguarding the "Qualitative Military Edge" (QME)The U.S. maintains a strict policy to ensure Israel possesses superior military technology compared to any combination of regional adversaries.

- Advanced Aviation: Israel’s entire frontline combat aircraft inventory consists of U.S.-supplied hardware, including F-15s, F-16s, and advanced F-35 stealth fighters.

-Financial Subsidies: Through Foreign Military Financing (FMF) grants, the U.S. subsidizes Israel's military budget by roughly $3.8 billion annually, totaling over $174 billion in cumulative assistance. ( Source: Stinson Center).

3. Continuous, Deep Intelligence Sharing ( sources: WSJ, Jewish Virtual Library).
The U.S. and Israel operate a highly integrated intelligence-sharing partnership that spans regional tracking and counter-terrorism ,

-Satellite and Surveillance Tracking: In 1997, Israel was directly linked to the U.S. missile warning satellite system, providing real-time data on incoming ballistic threats.

_ Targeting and Hostage Logistics: During the wars in Gaza, U.S. intelligence agencies opened access to vast data repositories and deployed advanced AI-driven targeting software to assist the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in mapping tunnels and tracking hostile leadership. Without that help Gaza would have be to Israel, what Dien Bien Phu was to France in the 1950s ( a total debacle ).

4. Direct Joint Missile Defense and Technology Co-Development.
( Sources: Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Congress.gov).
Rather than simply selling equipment, the U.S. actively funds and co-develops Israel’s multi-layered air defense network,

- System Funding: The U.S. has poured billions into the development and replenishment of the Iron Dome, Arrow, and David's Sling missile defense systems.

-Laser Technology: Recent U.S. emergency aid packages have specifically allocated over $1.2 billion to help fast-track Iron Beam, Israel's new high-energy laser defense system

5. Official Diplomatic Cover and Naval Deterrence (No "Boots on the Ground".) While the U.S. has strictly avoided putting combat "boots on the ground" to fight Israel’s wars directly, it uses massive military positioning and diplomatic power as an umbrella of protection.
( Source: Council on Foreign Relations).

-Naval Deterrence: During times of high escalation, the U.S. regularly deploys Carrier Strike Groups (such as the USS Gerald R. Ford) to the Eastern Mediterranean. These warships serve as a direct warning to regional powers like Iran and Hezbollah against launching broader campaigns.

-The UN Veto: On the global stage, the U.S. has acted as Israel’s primary shield, using its permanent United Nations Security Council veto power over 40 times to block international resolutions critical of Israeli military operations.

Now guess how Israel rewarded the U.S.:

Military Technology & Other Espionage
Advanced Hardware: Israel has historically engaged in economic and technical espionage to obtain modern military hardware and classified technological blueprints that the U.S. was not readily sharing.

Jonathan Pollard Case: In the 1980s, Jonathan Pollard—a civilian intelligence analyst for the U.S. Navy, was convicted of spying for Israel. He provided massive amounts of classified documents, including highly sensitive manuals on America’s global electronic surveillance network.

The Nuclear Question (The NUMEC Affair)
The Missing Uranium: In the mid-1960s, over 200 pounds of weapons-grade, highly enriched uranium went missing from the Nuclear Materials and Equipment Corporation (NUMEC) in Apollo, Pennsylvania. Who stole the stuff ? israel.

Nonsense.
Why doesn't the South African government focus on the systemic corruption of its own politicians instead of using foreigners as scapegoats? Before Nigerians, Ghanaians, and Zimbabweans moved in to build small businesses (like convenience stores, car washes, and used tire shops) why weren't South Africans operating businesses on the very land where these foreign-owned businesses now stand?

No one has been killed regarding the patriotic marches in South Africa.
It is hard to wake up someone who fakes to be asleep. You can refuse to see that truth, but the clouds are accumulating over your heads out there in South Africa. They will be a payback.

Here is a list of some of the most brutal, fatal, or high-impact well-documented xenophobic incidents/attacks targeting African immigrants in South Africa since 2008 ,

Xenophobic violence in South Africa is recurrent but often occurs in waves rather than isolated "top 10" ranked events. Comprehensive databases like Xenowatch (University of the Witwatersrand) track hundreds of incidents involving deaths, assaults, looting, and displacement since the mid-1990s, with spikes causing dozens of deaths and massive property destruction.

"Brutality" here considers documented deaths (especially gruesome ones like burning or mob beatings), scale of violence/looting, media documentation (photos/videos), and impact (displacement, international attention). Many incidents involve mobs targeting shops owned by Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Somalis, etc., with beatings, stabbings, burnings, and arson. Exact rankings are subjective due to varying documentation; this draws from major reported waves and iconic cases. Note that some victims in broader unrest were South Africans mistaken for foreigners.

Major Waves and Incidents (2010–2025):

2015 Durban/Johannesburg Wave (esp. April): At least 7 killed (including foreigners from Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, etc.), thousands displaced, widespread looting/burning of foreign-owned shops. Notable: Brutal stabbing murder of Mozambican Emmanuel Sithole in Alexandra Township on April 18, captured in graphic photos by journalist James Oatway (he was beaten with a wrench and stabbed in the heart).

2022 Diepsloot Attacks (April): Zimbabwean Elvis Nyathi beaten and burned alive by a vigilante mob (linked to Operation Dudula tensions) after failing to produce ID during door-to-door checks. Part of unrest with multiple deaths; highlighted vigilantism.

September 2019 Johannesburg Attacks: At least 12 killed (per police), hundreds of businesses looted/destroyed, mainly targeting Nigerians and other Africans. Sparked by rumors of drug dealing/crime; led to Nigerian repatriation efforts.

2015 Soweto/Gauteng Looting and Violence (January onward) : Foreign shops looted/burned; contributed to the broader deadly wave. Specific killings included stabbings and mob attacks.

Ongoing Somali Shop Attacks (e.g., 2010s incidents): Multiple cases of Somali traders killed, stoned, or shops attacked (e.g., 2013 stoning of Abdi Nasir Mahmoud Good; 2014 stoning death). Somalis frequently targeted in townships.

2020–2022 Operation Dudula-related Violence: Vigilante campaigns led to assaults, evictions, shop attacks in Soweto, Diepsloot, etc. Included beatings and threats; contributed to climate of fear and specific deaths like Nyathi's.

Brutal Killings (e.g., 2013): Mozambican Mido Macia dragged behind a police van (2013, though police involvement); various mob stabbings/beatings of Zimbabweans/Nigerians.

2017–2018 Spikes: Reports of Nigerians and others killed weekly in some periods; shop lootings and assaults in multiple townships.

Cape Flats/Eastern Cape Incidents (post-2010 echoes): Earlier patterns (e.g., 2000s burnings/shootings) continued sporadically with shop attacks and murders.

2024–2025 Incidents: Fewer large-scale deaths reported than prior peaks, but dozens of discrimination/violence cases per Xenowatch, with displacements and shop attacks amid political rhetoric. Recent 2026 tensions echo this pattern.

The deadliest single wave in the broader period remains 2008 : ~62 killed, including Ernesto Nhamuave burned alive in Ramaphosa settlement—iconic horrific images), which set the pattern for later violence

Foreign AffairsAmbassadors Snub South Africa's Africa Day Celebrations ! by panafrican(op): 9:05am On May 25
South Africa’s official Africa Day celebrations on Monday have been overshadowed by a diplomatic snub from African diplomats skipping the event over safety concerns for foreign nationals, as a UKZN political analyst warns that rising hostility towards migrants could severely damage the country’s standing on the continent.
Is South Africa celebrating “Africa Day ” ?

South Africa’s xenophobic mobs have hunted down foreign nationals from other African countries. Many migrants were brutally beaten, some were murdered in cold blood, their shops were looted and burned to the ground, their homes firebombed, and their children harassed, traumatized, and violently dragged out of classrooms by frenzied crowds, with no protection offered by the authorities.

To be clear: the South African government did nothing meaningful to stop the carnage. President Cyril Ramaphosa’s response has been marked by hypocrisy and callous indifference. And yet, this same nation now prepares to celebrate “Africa Day.” One must ask: which Africa are the South African government and its xenophobic mobs referring to during these ceremonies?

The Africa they assault and reject on a regular basis, or some imaginary version that conveniently excludes fellow Africans when it suits them? In their selective embrace of Pan-African rhetoric, they are only mocking themselves.

On this Africa Day, the most honest gesture South Africa could make would be to declare, without ambiguity, that all South African businesses operating across the continent, all South African migrants living in other African countries, and all South African ambassadors and diplomatic staff must immediately pack their belongings and return home.

South Africa should close its borders to the rest of the continent, ground all flights over African airspace, recall every ship from African ports, and withdraw from every African continental or regional organization. Only then would their words match their actions.

It is utterly despicable and barbaric that Nigerian nationals in South Africa are being hunted like stray animals, savagely brutalized, and mercilessly beaten by bloodthirsty mobs, with the full backing of the South African government and its complicit police force.
Yet the spineless Nigerian government sits idly by in shameful silence , not even mustering the courage to issue a stern ultimatum demanding protection for its citizens or face devastating consequences.

Shame! Shame!! Shame on the Nigerian government. It now looks like the useless government of the so-called Democratic Republic of Congo.

What weak, pathetic interests does Nigeria have with South Africa that it chooses this cowardly inaction and national humiliation over defending its own people?

Qatar and Saudi Arabia are the primary sources of radical Islamist terrorism in Africa. They provide funding, use their media outlets to promote extremist ideologies, and support these groups ideologically. Therefore, the most effective way to combat Islamist terrorism in Africa is to cut off these sources of support by invading Saudi Arabia and Qatar, removing the current regimes, and installing secular governments in their place.

Pffffff !
Too little, too late.
South Africans must pay the price through isolation.

Every single South African business, diplomatic mission, and citizen is expelled from all other nations. We do not want them here.

Hundreds of thousands of resolute protesters must blockade their embassies and businesses, ensuring they cannot open. Their ambassadors must not be allowed to drive on our roads or fly freely in our skies. They must be isolated and removed.

During the brutal Apartheid regime in South Africa, our countries survived and functioned without them. We thrived without traveling there. This proves beyond doubt that we can prosper and advance even if South Africa were to disappear from the map entirely.

We can no longer tolerate or accept the brutal killings, torture, and daily humiliations inflicted upon fellow Africans. These are not isolated or sporadic incidents; this is systemic, ongoing, and rooted in deep-seated hatred against us.

Let them stay confined to their own country. All African migrants must leave South Africa immediately.

If White people were committing these same atrocities against Black Africans, the entire continent would be in justified uproar.

We must stop allowing ourselves to be deceived and paralyzed by skin color. Evil is evil, whether it comes from White, Black, or any other race. There is no excuse.

All South Africans must leave the remaining 53 African countries .
