Can someone pls tell me what to do?

First things first, you going with authentic documents although in reality going in with authentic documents of someone that does not bear your surname might be harder to defend. Does this you uncle have a company account? That aside, let me tell you something - go in there with what you have and hope for the best. The angle of the VO's conversation with you might not lead to financial statement issues, even if it does it might not lead to questioning why surnames are different. The Lord is our strength. Cheers man.

WARYZ: bruv make I giv u d loadown of my story, and it goes like this.I went to the embassy 1st time on august 4th 2011 with a gal I met on here ,her name is chidalu(who can rememba her)?,we were both denied on dat day,so tlkd abt paying anoda visa fee almost immediately,so the second day she called ma fone and told me dat she jst payed her visa fee and dat she had gotten a date 4 the 23 of the same month, and dat If I had money I shld go and pay anoda fee 2, cuz 24th of august and 23rd where both available,so immediately I got money from ma mum and I went to pay the fee again(the second day after my initial denial)and unluckily 4 me I didn't get the same 23rd as hers, but I got 24th.23rd came and she called me around 12:30 and told me she was granted her student permit, and she prayed 4 me dat I was gonna get mine 2,but when my day(which is d second day 24th)came,I was denied again*sad* .I knew I had 2 defer dis time cuz my resumption date was fast aproaching.I wrote my skool and dey did defer the addmission.spring session came and I got my package from the skool very late in december(still last year)and I cldnt do notin cuz dat was wen nigeria had the nation wide strike, and d skools resumption date fell between the strike period, again I had 2 write d skool 2 give me a lil bit of extension, but they declined me A-SAP.Again I had 2 defer went straight 2 my keyboard again and wrote the skool 2 defer my addmission 4 the "THIRD" time,it was granted again,so I deferd 2 this year fall session.I got the package 4 the 3rd time around may-june(not sure though)then I payed my visa fee 4 the 3rd time and my sevis fee 4 the second time "AGAIN",and I got a date 4 d 6the or 7th of august(not sure)and I clickd on dat box where ur date can be shifted forward,4 days later I got a mail dat my date had been shifted 2 the 19th of july(coolies).3days b4 my interview(july the 16th) I followed ma dad 2 d same lagos embassy and he was granted, dat made me gain so much momentum,it was the D-day got 2 d embassy, had my interview, and most importantly,I GOT MY STUDY PERMIT.That's all about it ,I think.so yomi dats all I think you need. Thanks

WARYZ wsp, will be in NY mid Aug. Send me your bb pin or ymessenger as a private message so we chat. Cheers.

I picked up my visa Friday at the lekki office. This is how my interview went.

VO: What school
Told him
VO: Why this school?
Told him.
There are many reasons that makes your own school unique. I got this kind of information from the school website.
VO: Looks at my I_20 and asks who wants to sponsor you?
I told him my elder brother
VO: He says so your elder brother has all this money?
I told him yes o(yes sir, no say yes o lol)
VO: He says what does he do?
He owns a ___ business and I work for the company too.
VO: what does the company do, I told him.
VO: He asked me to list the assets we own
I listed it(Use professional terms where necessary)
VO: What is the revenue of the company?
I told him
VO: He says he meant revenue not income. Dunno why he wanted revenue and income story> I told him the revenue and income sharply.
VO: What university did you attend.
I told him
VO: Did u write a test
I said Gmat
VO: Where is the test result
I showed him
He goes through the test results
VO: Did you apply to any other schools?
YES 2 SCHOOLS
VO: He says what schools
Listed it, A and B
VO: He said did I get accepted?
I said I got accepted to B
VO: But not A?
I said I was not accepted to A
VO: What is your salary?
I told him
VO: You earn that?
I said yes o(yes sir, no say yes o lol)
VO: He then said what will I do when I finish my program
I said I will take on more duties at the firm I work for. ride on and say the specifics linking it to what you will gain in your masters or undergraduate program.
After he gave me the ticket. He chatted me up a bit. after which I said thank you and pulled out.
Quotes in this forum kept me going as I took out 2-3 weeks preparing for my interview.

Keys I think worked for me.
1. I dressed well. Some say dress well, some say it does not matter. See what I think, to be on the safe side I think u should. There are some questions they will ask you, your image will help you convey the answer more than your answer itself. Look like the case you presenting. I don't mean if you are a civil engineer that you should wear an helmet. lol. My thoughts.
2. Be humble. If u make a mistake like I did in an instance look and act sorry, not too sorry sha, Like sorry sir I did not know that is what you meant. Be brave and listen attentively for the next questions so your shine comes back. The VO gave the guy before me the green ticket, but the guy before this guy was I dont know what word. The VO asked him what university did you attended, he said, I attended the prestigious University of ....... I wonder why the word prestigious! What is your salary? He said my basic salary is about 170 thousand and allowances are bla bla bla. I think concise answers help. His whole interview went along that line. Then it got to what was your favorite subject in school? He said accounting. then what is accounting? He did not define it well from what I heard sha..
3. if he chats you up... respond well and interestingly
4. Did not know he was giving me till he cut the ticket...So u have to be composed all thru...hope for the best in that little time.
God is on the throne. Cheers.

@leadzeal, I agree with you, I think the gmat raised the redflag. And when he is tendering the letter stating the gmat was
waived, he should also not lie that he has never done the GMAT. A girl came to the US embassy for her interview this June after one last month
and she was asked a particular question, she failed to provide the same answer she provided the last time and the VO said you said this when you came last. I cant remember the question, something related to school. She did not get the Visa. I think the fact she lied or provided an incorrect answer led to the denial.

@genxris, try and give it a shot, work out a plan as soon as you can.

@rowlandoo
You cant choose the VO you want. But they all have a question asking pattern I think. Study them if you can before it gets to your turn. This forum has covered all types of questions though. If you prepare well, You will be able to handle what comes your way.

@kennix73
Know something, just dress smart suit or no suit, they gave 2 suit guys in my presence and they gave a young guy that did not tuck in. Just look like the case you presenting. Just be professional.

Not sure about date cancellation stuffs tho, you can call the US consulate call center on 09-460-1748, they are quite friendly and will answer your appointment questions better.
