"Nigeria was ruled by looters, and currently in the hands of super looters.................................................... The PDP spent the last 16 years at the helms of affairs, the party ended up looting our treasury and rendered the nation useless in the last 2 years under APC, we have seen the worse of governance, which is characterised by hunger, anguish, untimely death, corruption, nepotism and underdevelopment." This is a stark reality but life was far easy with PDP looting but the santimonious APC made it so unbearable. So can Nigerians give a neutral party a chance too or we're still restricted to choose of the lesser evil again? Lalasticlala what say ya? |
The Action Democratic Party, ADP, has assured that it would rescue Nigeria in 2019 from what it termed the failed leadership of both the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. In a statement by its spokesman, Prince Adelaja Adeoye, the party said it had better things to offer Nigerians than APC and PDP, whom he said looted Nigeria dry. According to the party, while PDP looted the country dry, the ruling APC had done even worse. It called on Nigerians to embrace the party, saying it was the only credible party that Nigerians can trust with their future. The statement reads below: “The Action Democratic Party has observed with keen interest the political situations of the country and has come to a conclusion that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has failed in every areas of governance and is now beyond redemption, whereas the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been infiltrated by their co travellers from the ruling party and has been rendered powerless, working hard to return to Aso Rock to continue their looting after 16 years of holding Nigeria down. Our party ADP, was set up to give the Nigerian people a credible alternative they have been yearning for, a third force which is capable of turning the country around for good. Our party, since its registration with the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in June 2017, has continued to receive massive membership. This is an indication that Nigerians are tired and can no longer continue with the shenanigan ways of doing politics which is currently being practiced by both the APC and PDP. Nigerians across the country, even those in the Diaspora have been looking forward to a credible alternative, a party who can truly and sincerely develop the country where corruption, nepotism, joblessness, retrogressive economy, hunger, high child mortality rate, hyper inflation, brutalization of citizens by government and security forces and other things that have been pulling us back as a nation will be a thing of the past. Nigeria was ruled by looters, and currently in the hands of super looters. If we must make this country work again, we must rescue it in 2019 for the sake of our hungry and dying citizens. We must make efforts to present to the Nigerian populace a credible and competent candidate at the Presidential race with capacity and good character. Our state governorship candidates will also posses good leadership qualities to complement the effort of our Presidential candidate for speedy return of our dear country to the path of progress. We want Nigerians to know that, ADP is a complete departure from charades where there is no shame to steal public funds, where rigging, voters are publicly induced, where candidates are made to pay through their nose before clinching party’s ticket by ticket racketeers, where devious and poisonous propaganda are used in bamboozling and intimidating citizens to vote for them which ends in betrayals of trust after elections. Our party is calling on Nigerians home and abroad to join hands with us to rescue and take back our country. We must not allow the retrogressive and backward movement of our country to continue, we must team up to work for the realization of the Nigeria of our dreams and that which our generation unborn will be proud of. The PDP spent the last 16 years at the helms of affairs, the party ended up looting our treasury and rendered the nation useless. Iin the last 2 years under APC, we have seen the worse of governance, which is characterised by hunger, anguish, untimely death, corruption, nepotism and underdevelopment. The question we should now ask ourselves is, do we want the country to continue in the hands of those who have subjected us to this torturous Nigeria? Nigerians must note that ADP serves their interest, where many don’t want to be caught between the two deep evil seas. We are a youth oriented party. We therefore call on youths to seize this opportunity to try their leadership skill, the leaders of the party are ready and willing to guide and mentor them until they become better, no need to entertain any fear. http://dailypost.ng/2017/12/11/nigeria-ruled-looters-now-hands-super-looters-adp/

Meanwhile Magu is yet to die on top Abba Kyari's #500M MTN bribe,Buratai's Dubai assets,Lawal Babachir's #250M grass-cutting scandal, Mainagate and all those implicated in the arms probe scandal. No wonder the anti-graft war remains a comical charade. |

Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared that the fight against corruption in Nigeria is a “do or die affair.” The EFCC’s Czar issued the warning while addressing a rally to mark International Day against Corruption at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja. Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, addressing the press at the end of a rally to mark International Day against Corruption The anti-graft agency boss said corruption is Nigeria’s number one enemy. According to Magu, “For us as a country, the fight against corruption is a do or die affair; we have to win the battle or die trying. “Corruption, as agreed by every consensus, is our number one enemy and as President Muhammadu Buhari correctly prescribed, if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria.” Calling for consensus against the malady, Magu noted that Nigerians cannot afford to be on the fence on the issue of corruption. He said, “The fight against corruption is now a war in which there is clear line between forces of evil and those of good; between agents of progress and reactionary elements who mean no good. “For those of us on this side; in the anticorruption agencies of government, in the media, and civil society, the dagger is drawn and I believe I am speaking the mind of everyone on this side that we intend neither retreat nor surrender in our noble intention to cure our country of the evils of corruption. “As I often say, our bit is not enough. Winning the war against corruption is the aggregate of our collective bits and pieces. No Nigerian can afford to be on the fence in this effort to rid our country of its Enemy Number One. It is time for all hands to be on deck to march on corruption and the corrupt”. Magu also noted that EFCC “has broken new grounds in investigating and prosecuting important cases, and recovery of stolen money. “Our asset recovery derive has raked in billions of naira to the federal government in form of forfeitures. We have also secured 171 convictions within the last one year”. http://dailypost.ng/2017/12/11/m-ready-die-fighting-corruption-nigeria-magu-warns-looters/ |

Boko Haram kills six soldiers in Borno At least six soldiers died in two separate Boko Haram ambushes in Borno State, military and civilian militia sources said on Monday. Four troops were killed and 12 injured on Sunday when their convoy was attacked near Damboa, 90 kilometres (56 miles) from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. Two soldiers were killed in the same area on Saturday, the sources told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity as they were not allowed to talk to the media. A military officer in Maiduguri said Sunday’s ambush happened when troops were on patrol between the villages of Nyeneri and Falawani. “The terrorists came in huge numbers and attacked the convoy using IEDs (improvised explosive devices) and gun trucks,” he added. A member of the civilian self-defence force gave a similar account and death toll, and said the jihadists made off with weapons before reinforcements arrived. He added: “Two soldiers died on Saturday when the six vehicles they travelling in came under heavy attack from Boko Haram near Bulaburin (village),” said the militia source. The attacks came days after the military replaced the officer leading troops fighting Boko Haram following a surge in attacks, including against military outposts. The army maintains the redeployment of Major-General Ibrahim Attahiru was routine, and the officer himself said suggestions he was sacked are “far from the truth”. He said in his farewell speech to troops on Monday that his move was “a normal exercise” and his redeployment to army headquarters in Abuja was a “call to higher responsibility”. Meanwhile, hundreds of people displaced by the violence deserted a makeshift camp in Birimari village, in the Nganzai district of Borno, some 80 km north of Maiduguri. Troops had been sent to the village, which is the birthplace of Borno state governor Kashim Shettima, two years ago but soldiers were withdrawn last week, locals said. One of the displaced, Idrissa Karim, fled with others to Gajiram, the district headquarters, as fears spread of a possible attack. http://punchng.com/boko-haram-kills-six-soldiers-in-borno/amp/ |
EFCC lacks powers to prosecute serving judges, Court of Appeal rules The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal has ruled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission does not have powers to investigate or prosecute serving judicial officers except where such officers have been dismissed by the National Judicial Council. The judgment was delivered in a suit between the EFCC and a judge of the Federal High Court, Hydiazira Nganjiwa. The appellate court’s decision overturned the earlier decision of a high court in Lagos. Many serving judges including from the Supreme Court are currently being prosecuted for corruption by the EFCC. NgeneUkwenu:Hypocrisy is not good.Did you read this........... "The only thing we feel very sad about Nigeria is our collective amnesia. There are people who are key kingpins in APC today who were sentenced to various years of imprisonment by Buhari in 1984, some up to 100 years." |
When Nigerians themselves are not happy with the government-https://politicsngr.com/2017/12/11/89-percent-nigerians-not-happy-buhari-okorocha/ So it's the ministers that will be happy? Well only those of them stealing money will be happy. |

Because of Buhari's new found love for Tinubu right? Karma is real. |
.Instead the EFCC should start with that of the fraudulent president that claimed he have to borrow money to buy his electoral form but how did he got money to run the expensive presidential campaign? APC are just Pained hypocrites!PDP should seize the initiative to put these idiots where they rightly belong. |
5. Yea GEJ was corrupt but things were far much better in his administration than the Buhari i felt has integrity. I am still waiting to see the candidates that will come out to contest in 2019. Buhari doesn’t understand how to run government – Agbakoba Published December 11, 2017 Oladimeji Ramon A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is bereft of the understanding of how a government should be run. He also described the federal cabinet put together by Buhari as incompetent, saying the President is “sleeping on the job.” “Government’s work is misunderstood even by the President. He doesn’t understand the nature of how to run a government,” Agbakoba told reporters in Lagos. According to him, Buhari’s government is performing poorly because a number of his ministers do not have the required competence to handle the portfolios assigned to them. Examples of such ministers, he said, are Geoffrey Onyeama, a lawyer, appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Kayode Fayemi, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development. He said though Fayemi and Enyeama were brilliant men, they were round pegs in square holes. “He (Buhari) needs to sack his entire cabinet because they have failed,” Agbakoba said. The lawyer also highlighted the objectives of the National Intervention Movement, which was recently floated by him and others. Agbakoba explained that since the floating of the movement was reported in the media last week, people had inundated him with phone calls, asking him whether it was a new political party and how they could join. He, however, clarified that “NIM is not a political party but a pressure group to put the government on its toes.” “Our objective is to mobilise Nigerians to hold government accountable at all levels. We want to grow by inspiring and supporting people to start small groups across the country,” he said. Agbakoba said the activities of the group would involve active use of the social media to sensitise Nigerians and sometimes hold rallies when necessary. “It is going to be membership-based and we are going to have friends of the movement. We are not going to depend on anybody to fund us, we are going to ask Nigerians to fund us; send your N100, send your N200, because it will require a lot of resources. So, in one way, we want Nigerians to claim ownership of the movement. That’s the structure,” he said. Agbakoba said like Buhari, the state governors had not fared better, describing Lagos State, for instance, as a broken city. “Governor Ambode of Lagos State says that he runs either the third or fifth largest economy in Africa, but you are all in Lagos. This is a broken city, it is a completely broken city and in the index of the harshest cities to live in the world, Lagos is third from the last,” Agbakoba said. He added, “Ambode is fixing federal roads when Lagos State roads are deplorable. “Okorocha is erecting statues of all kinds of statues." Agbakoba said the high recurrent expenditure in the nation’s budget exemplified Buhari’s misunderstanding of how government should be run as well as lack of will power. “The current budget is about N8tn; 70 per cent is for recurrent expenditure, that means salaries. “Now, only three million people in Nigeria, working with the Federal Government, ‘chop’ all that money to the exclusion of the 180 million people. So, where’s the fairness? Three million pceople and 70 per cent, and the remainder 30 per cent for 180million people" http://punchng.com/buhari-doesnt-understand-how-to-run-government-agbakoba/#gallery_1 |
