We will definitely win the case.... Let's expect FIFA's verdict before the playoffs... Mean while, this what FIFA rules states ( according to chat gbt) concerning eligibility

Here’s an explanation of FIFA’s Article 10.2.2 and 10.2.3 in the context of FIFA’s rules governing eligibility to play for a national representative team — specifically the part of the regulations about how nationality is “held” for eligibility purposes:

📌 What Article 10.2 Covers
In FIFA’s Commentary on the Rules Governing Eligibility to Play for Representative Teams, Article 10.2 explains the concept of obtaining a nationality automatically and the conditions under which a player is considered to “hold” that nationality for eligibility to represent a national team.
api.spoleg.com

🧾 Article 10.2.2 — “Further Administrative Requirement”
Article 10.2.2 says:
If the national law of a country requires a substantial precondition before nationality is automatically granted — for example:
a person must renounce another nationality, or
must wait a long mandatory period after birth before citizenship is granted,
then that requirement does count as a “further administrative requirement.”
api.spoleg.com
👉 In other words: if someone can’t automatically become a citizen without first doing something significant under that country’s law, then they are not yet considered to “hold” that nationality for FIFA eligibility.

So the question is how were there able to get the FB players Congolese passport against the country's law on citizenship. The answer is
Forgery!!! And it is not fair
I told pple here from the very day this case came to limelight that Nigeria have a very strong case but those who are always negative in any thing that concerns their own country argued and didn’t believe me

Na utobos wey never play organized football before in their lives dey talk rubbish about Chukwueze. You think the boy was nonchalant because of the gum he was chewing or his facial expressions, what if I told you that was his own way of dowsing the tension on him. It just didn't work out, and that's it. The day I missed a PK for my team, I was smiling but I didn't know I was smiling because at that moment I was gobsmacked.

That PK wasn't worse than what SiMoses gave us against DRC.

Not everyone can handle that pressure, Lookman and Osimhen even had to run away.

PK is anybody's game, and not everyone is mentally built to take one. You can be the best PK during training, but the main challenge comes when you have to play it under tension.

Make una rest.

By the way, Zuchyblink I like your write up about him losing concentration especially as he has turned himself to the comedian of the team. My grandpa will always say, it is good to have someone who cracks jokes to entertain others in a group, but never be that person. Today, that is what's affecting Chukwueze, because everyone now sees him as unserious
💯

If I be pro footballer I no go dey gree to take PK. Pressure wey dey follow that thing too much especially if na pk shootout

🔴 Galatasaray maintains concrete interest in Raphaël Onyedika, with advanced discussions on player side.

🇳🇬 Club Brugge wants to keep its Nigerian & asks €20 million, amount Galatasaray is currently unwilling to pay.

No written offer yet.

Some pointers Post-Afcon

- Eric Chelle still has not lost a competitive game in 90mins or 120mins.

- At last Afcon, Nigeria were the penalty monsters. Every penalty we got in regulation time, we buried and when we faced South Africa, we owned them in the spot kicks. We also had very good confident penalty kick beasts. Kelechi Iheanacho, Terem Moffi. At the WCQs playoffs we lost that. At Afcon 2025, we lost that. WE NEED TO GET IT BACK.

- Whenever Bassey paired with Benjamin Frederick, most of the praise went to Benjy. But whenever Bassey paired Semi at this Afcon, Bassey got most of the plaudits.
That tells u the double B is our best pair.

- Benjamin Frederick x Calvin Bassey CB pair has been used 3 times conceeding only once. Semi Ajayi had a solid Afcon but the return of Benjy elevates the defence's quality even more.

- Osayi Samuel is 2nd choice RB yet dropped quite a monstrous Afcon showing. Imagine what Aina has to do when he returns.

- Felix Agu? Bruno Onyemaechi has just cemented himself as the 1st choice LB. Agu will need a hell of a showing to displace Bruno. Zaidu sits tight for now as 2nd choice.

- Stanley Nwabali proves why he is Super Eagles' Number 1. He has earned it. Back to back Afcons... back to back solid showings.
and how many matches Bassey and Fredrick’s don play together?

bro football games aren’t only won on the pitch

A lot happens behind the doors and that’s the edge the North Africans have over other regions when it comes to African football

Also that was the edge Cameroon had over top African nations including Nigeria during the reign of Issa Hayatou

This is actually true.

Do you know even in 1976, when Morocco won in Ethiopia, it was not via knockout? It was a league phase thing. Easily manipulated.

It is shameful that Morocco with all the stars they have still have to resort to dirty tactics from their men in the higher ups (e.g. Lekjaa) at CAF to win.

Is there any law that says a team that reached the WC semis have to be Afcon Champs?? They had the squad back in Afcon 2023 but they could not do it. South Africa knocked them out without stress. Then they force their way through in this one.

When Morocco tried to play fair a bit vs Tanzania and Mali, we saw how they struggled. This is how they knew they should not play fair going forward against the more powerful football teams in Africa.

It is just bad, really bad.
unconfirmed rumor though from a reliable source claim that the Moroccan government lobbied CAF to win the competition with millions of dollars

The reason been that they have to win in order to have something to show to the citizens for their heavy investment in football in the country so some years now

They argued that they need to be compensated with winning the trophy the same way CIV hosted and won at the last edition

And with the role current SA president played during the World Cup qualifiers to favor his country to qualify I had every right to believe the rumor. The reason I said he may emerge as the most corrupt Caf president ever to exist

Apart from Lookman no other eagles player attempts to shoot from outside the box even the one from onyedika was too woeful. Make our players Dey more adventurous. If Oliseh didn’t shoot from outside the box we won’t have beaten Spain in France 98.

Even look at mane goal against Egypt it was from outside the box after another teammate has attempted initially and mane hit it again after the initial one was blocked.
bro the Moroccans didn’t allow our players hv a sniff of their goal post especially Lookman who they know has the ability to shot with both legs

Same outcome as the WCQ play off but there was no fear, no folding this time.

I saw grit, tenacity, fighting spirit and a determination not to lose from our boys. Funny thing is that game could have continued for another 30 minutes and we wouldn't have conceded.

Unfortunately, penalty proved to be our albatross, and once again our takers let Nwabili down despite his heroics.

Kudos to the boys and Eric Chelle. The NFF should give the coach an extended contract that runs until the end of the 2027 AFCON.

It can only get better.
I’m really proud of Chelle and his boys
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Papi85: 10:53am On Jan 15
I suggest the NFF retain Chelle so he can continue with the team because he have already created a system which made the team flourish

All he needs is just to give a chance to more young talented players mixed with the old guards like Ndidi,Iwobi,Samu,Mola,Osayi,Bruno,Bassey etc

Also the NFF should aggressively scout for players to add more quality to the team

NFF have never been proactive.
With a thorough search, they would have known that he is a controversial referee and petition CAF to change him.
and caf didn’t know he had questionable reputation before they appointed him to officiate the game?

Bro the script hv been written since and Morocco lobbied Caf to help them in winning the competition atleast to compensate them the amount of money they spent in hosting the competition

Prior to the commencement of the competition Morocco citizens have been protesting that the government are channeling a lot of money in football and infrastructure instead of the health and other sectors that requires attention so the government have to do whatever it takes to win this afcon just to justify all the money spent to host it

No matter how well super eagles might have played yesterday they won’t win that game because all odds were against them

I think the current SA caf president will be the most corrupt and inept Caf president ever

Morocco owned the midfield yet couldn't create any clear cut chance..
Even with the ball we left for them..

Osayi and Bruno stopped all crosses
Them comot all their strikers because they no see ball play..

They brought in El neysri to do cross and nod, yet still no cross..

How can we ignore all that and begin to blame strikers
Strikers how??
Tactically Chelle did well but where he made a mistake was bringing in Fisayo instead of Chukwueze. Though I believe the reason he preferred Fisayo is because he tracks back and comes in to the midfield when required to help the team when they re chasing possession unlike Samu

If I were him I would have risked it all towards the tail end of the game

Take off Akor for Chukwueze(instructing him to take on players and provide crosses to Osimhen) then Lookman for Fisayo (instructing him to drift deeper in midfield to add more bodies and drive forward with the ball when the opportunity arises), then play Osimhen as a lone striker

He struggled as much as Onyedika today. Lost multiple duels like Onyedika who lost more. Onyeka was the only true soldier in duels today. Stats and eye test dont lie.

To carry out your agenda against Onyedika you want to act like Iwobi didnt lose the ball multiple times today. Funny.
the way u cry foul over certain players will make one think if you are paid to hype them here maybe for national team recognition/call up, for God knows whatever agenda or purpose

No matter how bad Iwobi was today he wasn’t as half as bad as onyedika. This was a big chance for him to make a statement but onyedika disappointed big time
