I’m putting this out so others can learn from what happened to me. I’m writing this with so much pain and frustration. I still find it hard to believe it could happen to me.

Please don’t mind my errors. Read through as it may be a bit long. On the 2 of March around 4pm I alighted from a bus around Ajah under bridge. Ordinarily I do not respond to anyone asking for directions in Lagos because there have been lots of negative stories flying around. I even find it difficult to believe some of these stories.

But on this faithful day on the 2 of March 2025, a young man probably in his 20s walked up to me asking for direction that he is going to Abraham Adesanya in Ajah. I only replied that he should take a bus heading front. The next thing I noticed one other guy came out from the other side and he asked him for directions also. That’s how the conversations went into how he wanted to go sell some medicines somewhere after Abraham Adesanya.

At this moment I was still walking towards my direction but honestly I didn’t know what was happening again. The next thing I know, I followed these two guys and we boarded a bus together. We came down at one place after Abraham Adesanya. They took me to one place. It’s a ghetto filled with refuse wastes. Then one man came out, ordered the 3 of us to kneel down. We brought out our phones and everything.

The guy that initially asked me for directions left the scene. They asked for my ATM password and they withdrew 2.8 million naira from my access bank. At this moment I didn’t even know what happened. The man was speaking in strange languages and It was like I got hypnotized. I was there for like 30 minutes and after he told me to go. I had to take a bus and stop at GIG motor park Ajah.


I begged those around to help me with their phones so I can call. It was one guy that later helped with his phone and I called my bank and they immediately locked the account after I had explained to them. It was the customer care representative that even told me they withdrew 2.8 million out of 4 million in my account already. This is money meant for an important project. My sweat and hard work.


Please do not respond to people you do not know when walking on the streets. Sometimes they even use small kids. These guys are well armed spiritually. I never believed it happens until it happened to me. It’s really getting more and more dangerous out there, please everyone be careful.

The fire at an oil facility in Belgorod Region, Russia was caused by a Ukrainian air raid, Governor Vyacheslav Galdkov said on Friday morning. The incident was reported amid Russia’s military campaign in the neighboring country.
Gladkov said the terminal was struck by “two Ukrainian military helicopters that have entered the territory of Russia while flying at low altitude.” The exact details of the incident are yet to be clarified.

The governor said two workers received non-life threatening injuries. The authorities began evacuating people from nearby areas.
