Sotland: Do you know that badagry express way was commissioned and started before Ikorodu express? Yet, Ikorodu express which has about more than 7 bridges was completed within 2yrs if I'm correct..
What I feel is the Pointer
While Badagry express is an Ecowas Project but Ikorodu express is a Federal road co-owned by the state, however the state took up the project and was fully financed.
Hindrance
The same CCECC construction company that'd handle Ikorodu express till completion is also handling the Badagry express road. SO, why complete the former in a short time and yet to successfully complete Badagry road? The Badagry road is facing a serious Financial problem. It lacks proper finance. So, since the government is not releasing adequate funds for the project, the company works with the available funds they received and when it finishes, work stops. Unfair to the Users
People that plies Badagry express are subject to surviving and smiling situation since they have no other alternative route. The Government has been so unfair to people that plies this route and not even considering the fact that they will be subjected to paying for the express in the future as there are tollgate points. The Ikorodu express has no tollgate built yet they are quick to fund it because the likes of Tinubu, fashola and akinbode has vast land investment "estate and landed properties".
There is not a day or week that passes without a vehicle falling down on that road. A lot of people has recorded major lost due to the bad road. I sympathize the millions of people using the route.
Soty You said it all |

adeoba2008: It's not a state road. That should silence you. Besides, tell us about your state. Shut up! Is the road in Abuja? Moreover, Lagos State government stopped FERMA from working on that route since the emergence of central power. |

kingthreat: I told myself, I can never live along badagry road again despite growing up there. Lagos State has never given a damn about from Mile 2 downwards. I don't blame them. They dont get revenue from there neither does APC get votes from there. Power there is very epileptic. So if you're keen on enjoying Lagos, get the furk out of there. I doubt your claim about growing up around that axis hence you will know Lagos state generates more than half of Lagos state revenue from That axis. Alaba intl, trade fair, Alaba Rago, seme border and so many are on that route. Next time say what you know |

wwwtortoise:
To say that the government of Lagos State is unconcerned with road conditions all around the city is false.
I have plied badagry express way a number of times and sincerely, there are lots of construction ongoing.
However, I think the major setback is inadequate financing (depending on the contract terms) which is always a halting factor in every work-in-progress. You are a satanist. You know nothing about that road. The state of the road is worse than Nigeria's present predicament. |

OwoLee: many of you don't know anything, you are just despising Tinubu for nothing. I remember when Ambode was picked, many of you went against it saying, he likes imposition... but majority of you now see, he picks the best hands. if tomorrow, he picks another person, I personally won't have issues with that, I know already he's going to work. And to rate Ambode's performance in Lagos, its 50/50 thing, he makes noise on the useless projects he makes. During the days of Gov. Fashola, He created systems that were functional in Lagos state eg. LASAA, LABSCA, PSP, LaSTMa, LAWma, Laspark, public works for road maintenance etc. Now during Gov. Ambode, many of these agencies are nothing to write home about, he discontinued some like PSP, brought in Vision Scape and funding them unnecessarily and yet zero results. Lagos is becoming dirty, Potholes is everywhere on Lagos roads. If you are living in Lagos only can you testify to this. stop listening to media propagandas. Have you people ever asked the present government of how much IGR Lagos makes now? he's depleting treasury despite the peanuts of project his doing. So many uncompleted project, so many white elephant project that will never see the light of the day. Mark my words and save this write up of mine, he's second term will be a disaster for Lagos. Its not compulsory to use 2terms before you work or before we can ascertain your impact as a governor. My prayer is, May the best candidate win the APC Lagos Primary! Long life Lagos Itesiwaju ipinle eko loje mi Logun! God bless you my son |

ShenTeh: Indeed, in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.
Based on the poor leadership epidemy that the country generally suffers, it is understandable that people like Ambode are seen as 'performers'.
*What about Lagos waste management
*Where are the Lagos buses, promised to commence work by January 2018.
* How much did the Abule Egba and Ajah bridges cost?
* #18billion+ naira on the ill-thought-out Oshodi construction. Near amount put to the the delivery of the Uyo stadium.
* Non-rehabilitation or partial repairs of inner-city roads as well as main roads, leading to avoidable traffic gridlocks.
* And this is his first term, where Nigerian politicians generally usually put in their best shot!
*Etc
I often laugh when I hear people compare Fashola and this man. No basis! Fashola was a better administrator of Lagos. You are well grounded on issues surrounding his government. Ambode is the worst governor in the history of Lagos. |

blazer2018: No matter how strong Tinubu is in Lagos...he just can't make d mistake of dropping Ambode...This will be d end of the Tinubu hold on Lagos if he dares to tamper with d people's choice.
I get it...maybe he thinks 2nd term Govs are very difficult to control...hence, this power play...but if care is not taken, he might lose it all...wisdom is profitable to direct. Ambode is not my choice. Speak for yourself. He is under performing compare to what Lagos state is generating.... Go and check mile 2 - badagry express way and see the state a supposed international road is. |

Bodmillz: Bros you dey vex o! Please calm down and let everything pass.
Nigeria hard but please don’t call our fatherland shithole. I have spent barely two weeks and some days in Canada and I must tell you I’m missing home. Life’s good here and thousands times better than in Nigeria but no place can be like where you grew up.
The culture here is totally different from ours. You would be living in the same Condo and you won’t even greet one another when your path crosses. For example, in the walkway or when you in the elevator, you will either be looking each other like dondee or be pressing phone. Sometimes you greet them and they will be looking at you like mumu, and sometimes they respond with all smile. Even in 3 or more bedroom houses, you see only few that mix well. Most times it’s hi hi when you meet and when you in the house, you lock yourself in the room doing your thing.
The food too. You go chop rice tire. The best thing is to cook here. Not like naija wey you fit just enter one restaurant or buka and load fufu or Eba and spend less than 1k. Go to African restaurant here a the least plate you can get is for $15 (#4,350) and you won’t even be satisfied. And for your info, you pay tax for everything. SIM card wey dem dey sell 100 naira for naija, I bought for $40 (#11,600) here , which was the best deal and I was charged $6 (#1740) extra as tax. Even tax dey ontop bread. I buy wheat bread for $3.29 (#954) which is #250 in naija(more than x3). So the thing here is you have to change your lifestyle if you really wanna have savings. Wheat bread wey I dey finish once in naija, I dey chop am 3 times here . Beans of about 3 congos is $22 imagine! One thing, If you keep converting to naira, you won’t buy anything here lol. Got a jean jacket $70 wey I go see confirm akube for 1500 in naija.
Also, I learnt the weather during winter is mad. Even those that were born and bred here are afraid winter is coming! I remember during my orientation a lady at the information fair was asking me if I would like to study abroad. I told her I am already studying abroad because I am an International student. She laughed and said I can still study abroad, perhaps after I spend a winter here, I would like to study abroad...imagine! Lol
Congrats on your approval and I wish you the best in Canada! Please, how did you route your flight and how much did it cost? |

Frankrobbn1: For paper route, the correspondence letter comes along with your passport in a sealed envelope. A correspondence letter is a letter which you're ought to show to the immigration officials at the POE when you arrive in Canada to get your study permit and SIN (work permit). A copy of a typical correspondence letter is attached herewith. Thank you Frank |
