They are currently going through your documents especially your sop to ascertain your eligibility to be issued a visa. Background check is applicable, what you are seeing is normal. No cause for alarm.

I submitted my visa application on the 27th of January, and got my passport delivered to me after 3 days with the pink paper (receipt) and a white slip that says my application has been forwarded to Turkish embassy. My worry is that I haven’t read from them since then, please can anyone advice me on what to do in this regard ?

Does the pink slip carry any stamp?

Your Visa was Approved but you will get email from Embassy that you should come with E-ticket confirm .just get ready to buy ticket and you will go submit it at Embassy ..always cek your email hourly ...

A guy on page one said that stamp means Refusal.

The Turkey embassy I must say was overwhelmed with application received on daily basis.
Who ever submitted for Visa without any response from Mz viz Abuja .I will advice you to go physically to collect your passport because Most of the Time their DHL portal are not that efficient .so once ur submission date is over 6/7days GI back to Abuja your passport is ready for pick up..you may not received Email from them and it gonna affect your traveling plan..
Again as regard those who have submitted their confirmed E-ticket to Turkey Embassy should go to Turkey Embassy for collection of your passport .You may not get email from Embassy .But you can do email Reminder to Embassy ...however your visa who take 3days to be printed once ur ticket is confirm by Embassy ...
All what I said is base on my personal experience this January 2020.
I paid insurance Twice and flight ticket because of of there inefficient.. So don't wait for them to mail or text

This denial issues isnt getting funny atall.. Those guys are heartless now. I personally think theres more to this stuff than just a good sop, documentations or financial asset. Its obvious that people going for higher degrees like msc and phd are well considered before those going for college programs and bsc. they should be specific when giving reasons for denial.. Other than the normal generic reasons which often prompt us to reapply and end up being refused with another generic reason.
I know the number of Nigerians trying to migrate into Canada is very high currently and as such they are left with little or no option.
What if they have certain number of international students they allow into a particular province yearly or into a particular college yearly? Theres definitely some kinda trick or standard they are using... Lets keep our faith Alive.

You're very right. How can they deny a person with over 70m in his personal account and properties worth over 300m in like 3 states in Nigeria.

I think there's something wrong with his application. Probably, his SOP lacks some vital information.

His SOP was superb. He's into real estate and he's planning on delving into hospitality business.

They yet to send him Final decision mail until now but he got a pick up mail.

Yes. My other friend that got a pick up mail from vfs yesterday also got his final decision mail.

I believe they rejected him for no actual reason. Cos this guy is a big business man and has traveled all over the world with business and personal account of over 70m.

All documentation was top notch.

I just got booked for medical examination by both Qlife and IOM (Abuja) for 26th June. For the guys who have done medicals, please which of the 2 is the better option? Considering the likelihood of delay, service delivery, etc. I really don't mind going to any of them, but i just don't want to pick randomly without any reason.

Please, the rate at which I am seeing biometric correspondence coming before medical request or medical changing to pass is getting me scared or is it a new pattern.

I applied on the 7th of June and I did upfront medicals and got a biometric collection letter on the 8th of June then on the 13th of June my medicals was changed to Passed. Review of Eligibility has not started yet, Is this normal or a good sign?

My friend got this biometric correspondence mail yesterday.

Hes been waiting for medical call but this evening he got a mail which says Re: validity of your biometric.

The hospital submits the result but it takes a little time before it gets updated by the embassy, but what U to do is to send a mail to the hospital to show you the evidence of them submitting the result to the embassy.. With this, they will send u another slip (colored and also differen from the one u left with on the day of ur medicals) with the date they submitted it.. You can now send this colored slip to the embassy ursef via Webform and mail. That was what I did for my Upfront medicals and few days later it was updated to pass.. Peace

Normally the hospital sends the results, he can still attach the print out the hospital gives to his application.
