Hi guys. I am new to this forum. You guys are doing a great job. I am currently in the process of getting my TRV, I applied for an MBA at the University of Toronto, and I got a message from the VO requesting for me to do my medicals. What I noticed from reading this thread from part 1 to 14 is that no one spoke on what the medicals entail.

Pls can someone be kind enough to tell me what the VO is checking for in the medicals that may make him/her grant a visa or not? is there a certain disease an applicant have that might hinder his/her getting a TRV.

I am about to apply for my canada student visa. Every other documents I have compressed to less than 4mb but my sponsor's bank statement is too bulky. For the past 5 days I have been working on it to compress it using almost all the compressor online. The least I can get it just 26mb clear anything less than that can't be readable. Actually the original file size of the scanned bank statement is 107mb PDF though it was first scanned in picture formats first and then converted to pdf. I am so confused. I have tried so many techniques and even took it to business computer centers, until now nothing. This bank statement is 6months and is about 252 pages.
My last option tomorrow morning is to reduce the pages to half or lesser than half by randomly extracting some pages. Please I need an advice before I do this. I need an advice as soon as possible please.

Also, for paper submission , will i do the biometrics the same day of submission? thank you.

Applied July 4th. Online application. Sch starts sept. Did biometrics and Medicals already but application still in progress. I am really hoping for the best now. ����

will I be able to see my relatives at the airport I mean can they visit me were ever I am in the airport during the layovers or can I meet them around the airport during layovers in Heathrow airport ?

You need to go and do the upfront medical with Children Practice in Ikoyi. I did it on Tuesday and my medical has been updated as Passed this Thursday 16th of August. I am only waiting for the approval Mail now from CIC. That is my Two Cents to you...

Most civil servants in Nigeria are too dependent on either their state/federal government

Work ethics shouldn't be like that

People should be exposed that they have to make alternative income

Which in the long run will prevent them from being too dependent on their salary

They can venture into farming, snail breeding, cattle rearing, food hawking and so on

Laziness is when you depend on a single source of income

It's aftereffect was what makes people to clamor for change and increments of salary

The Governors are trying cuz even when I was the class representative of my class in Harvard University, it wasn't easy controlling the affairs of students in my class. I ended up spending several fees that was meant for my fellow students. And for these Governors to be paying their state workers, they are trying and I really commend them on that.

With the present economic meltdown that recently befell Nigeria, I wasn't expecting the federal government to be discussing about minimum wage

And that's if the workers are even competent enough to deserve one

CAQ is a certificate you ought to have requested from the province you are going, I am familiar with Quebec, the certificate indicates that you've been accepted in their province for further studies.....

The major issue is the fact that there is a profile one can always go check for updates. Even though it is good, it is torture (my opinion).

I think I prefer the way Uk does theirs where you don’t know anything (or see how to monitor progress) till it is approved.

what standards,, if you are referring to naija standard i believe strongly lagos is beyond that.
we live in a country where the govt alway tell us they are working even tho the citizens can see what they are talking about,,but their is these exception with lagos everywhere you go under this ambode administration you see completed works or ongoing project, moving from fashola to ambode was a step higher becos that man has wider coverage of developmental plans for mainland axis ,island inclusive.
so by which or whose standards is lagos far behind ??
