Another plot to toy with Nigerians' brains. Well, they already know the weak point of most Nigerians. You want to get them, then attack them through tribal or ethnic background, religious belief and other deceptive propaganda.

Let's see how many persons would buy into this bugaboo.

all this sort of programmes ought to have been in place all this while. GEJ's administration just woke up to the reality when it's sort of late...

Well, late or not is not the importance now. As long as it ends up in favour of the downtrodden then it's okay.

i thought there z a way i can do it during registration
yea.. Immediately the registration starts, inculcate an habit of visiting the admission office. You will be given the form for free and you would further the walk by following the protocols required only if your O'level and Jamb/P-ume is good enough and the departmentssss in question are willing to negotiate...

Happy new year guys...

Love is really not a 'let me go for it once and for all' thing cause once you lose your heart, the head is in trouble.

Nice piece MizMycoli

Romance / Re: Is Marriage The Only Way To Secure A Relationship by papindinho(m): 10:47pm On Dec 15, 2014
A very nice response.
MzPreshie:
Now to answer your question- marriage isn't the only way to secure a relationship; love, understanding and commitment is. At this point, I believe your girlfriend already planned out her life; the age she wants to get married, when she intends to have her last kid, etc. If her marriageable age bracket suits your own plan of when to settle down, then you can have a secure relationship, that is if you are both willing to play faithful. But if you are 2 or more years ahead from her planned age, then there's no relationship. What I'm trying to say is that securing your relationship is upto you and your girlfriend. Marriage, these days, doesn't secure your relationship, not with the high rate of divorce. So to secure your relationship in/outside marriage, you must Love each other.
Understand each other and
Be willing to stay committed to that one person.

love, commitment and trust can be summed up to be the requite traits to possess before marriage sets in.

All the traits are means to an end which is marriage. Although, several marriages are built on flexible traits unlike the ones meant to be the bricks and pillars of such relationship.

Career / Re: Why People Work For Many Years In One Organisation by papindinho(m): 9:28pm On Nov 20, 2014
Arguably, we cannot overrule the importance of job satisfaction as a major contributor to employees' stay in a corporate company and the remuneration is more of the factor responsible for changing jobs.

The emergence of need to change jobs is also conspicuous in Williamso's comment; 'the need to get there as fast as possible' which can be related with the OP's idea of 'impatience'- a charasteristic trait of the 21st century employees.

I think it would suffice to say, job satisfaction, continuous rise in pay and promotions could elongate one's stay in an organisation. Then again, we have to consider the insatiability of human wants. After rising through the ranks one would ask at the end- what's next? And that's what usually motivates the need to change job. The willingness to exploit new fields....
