This scare crow can fade off. Your mouth was loud during Jonathan's time but all of a sudden you are finding reasons to side step stating the obvious because your tribal person is in power. Your silence though doesn't change what everyone already sees and feels and that's the fact that Tinubu is a failure.
Let's wait and see what he will eventually say now . A silent critic is one either one who has taken sides contrary to his known beliefs or a dead one . Critics are known to be fearless . For me , two years is enough to know how an administration is performing. In fact there are midterm assessments in countries with functioning democracies .

Nwaikpe:
Let me tell you guys a story. Maybe our Southern brothers will learn from it:

You know, there is this self-imposed effort by the Yorubas (Yb) to prove to the Hausas (Hs) that they are also muzlims (Mz). The same effort is on the Hs to prove to the Fulanis (Fn) that they are also Mz. So also there is the same pressure on the Fn to prove to North Africans, then North Africans to prove to Arabs, and Arabs to prove to Saudis. But my story will focus on a very good friend of mine; let's call him "Abiola."

Upon our entrance to Ahmadu Bello University, Abiola, being from one of those southwestern states and having a very strong and radical commitment to his religion, was even a college amir from where he was coming from.

So, upon resumption, this guy had this hot pressure to PROVE his allegiance to the Northerners. But it didn't age well. This is what happened:
The first day of lectures, when it was one o'clock, this guy went and did gra gra and called prayers in the mosque. grin grin grin My good Hs brothers literally stood outside until those who responded to his call finished praying before they went in. He repeated it the first day, second day, and third day. Then he asked questions as to why Hs guys were not responding. grin grin grin

Let me cut the story short:
Another of his Mz brothers from Edo State called him aside and advised him, telling him that it doesn't work that way. That they (non-northerners) are considered almost as Non-Ms or even Christians by the Northerners. He decided to confirm it. He called prayers the next day and saw everyone standing outside until the MusChris finished their prayers. At this point, his gra gra ended.

Anyways, 2 years later Abiola became an usher in Koinonia.
grin grin grin grin grin
His identity is concealed because of the consequences. But after reading this story, he too will laugh.

You will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER see a Yb Mz that schooled in the North that will ever join his peers that have never crossed Osun state borders to be against other Southerners. NEVER.
They have tasted life, and have proved it. grin grin grin
Maybe you should say the yoruba muslims might have something to prove to hausas ( I am a yoruba christian ) and not yorubas generally .

However have you considered that Abiola was just trying to be a normal religious Muslim who got introduced to how northern muslims think and not that he was trying to prove anything ? The day I faced racism abroad , I did not know it was racism until months after . Why ? Because racism is not what I have ever faced in my country .

Abiola might have just been a yoruba Muslim who got his first exposure to the way northern muslims think . I have extended families who are muslims based in the SW and i dont think they really give a hoot about proving anything to hausa muslims.

PS - it was in abuja I discovered that there are mosques specifically for yorubas ....popularly called yoruba mosques . So there is an element of truth in how the HS muslims see yoruba muslims

A blatant lie. Girls adore fair guys, many do not just admit it.
I know many fair guys girls run after like flies even without the guy showing interest. That's why many guys bleach their skin.

Girls can pretend like crazy...
Of course women do , especially when they themselves are dark skinned .

But the main reason they fail to admit it is that thet are usually scared of the level of women attracted to such guys and would rather not date seriously .

Our leaders need to sit up and stop or at least greatly reduce the killings. It is too much !

BusinessRe: Nigeria’s Currency Surges To 10-month High Against The Dollar by parags(m): 1:58pm On Nov 01, 2025
DeLaRue:
I doubt 2026/2027 pre election activities will have as much impact on the value of the naira as with previous elections.

Here are my reasons -

1) tepid opposition

2) APC presidential primaries will be uncontested.

3) Weighed down by lack of confidence in winning presidential election, opposition presidential primaries contestants will not spend huge amounts of dollars

4) most Governors will be in APC and will not face serious challenge in primaries

5) Senatorial and House of Rep primaries will mostly be transacted in naira

6) With naira gaining value, the allure of the dollar is no longer as strong as it used to be. If someone is offering to pay for my service in dollar or naira right now, I will opt for naira. I'm sure most people in similar position will too. Politicians may not need to use as much dollars come 2026/2027.

7) There is enough dollars in the economy now that $500 million spent on elections over a period of about 6 months will have very little impact on the value of the naira.

Finally, with the current dominant position of the APC, many opposition politicians may already be writing off 2027, and planning for 2031 instead.

An opposition Kano politician was recently quoted in the press as saying he would not bother to waste his money in 2027.

If that sentiment is common amongst rich opposition politicians, then it begs the question, where is the huge demand for dollars going to come from in 2027.

That said, a lot can still change between now and 2027.
Excellect projections. Thanks for this take. I will reflect more on this. However don't be in a haste to write off the opposition in 2027 . A whole lot can still happen before inec declares the electioneering calender for 2027 open.
BusinessRe: Nigeria’s Currency Surges To 10-month High Against The Dollar by parags(m): 9:51am On Nov 01, 2025
DeLaRue:
That's unrealistic, nor is it necessarily a good thing. Such superfast appreciation may create new pockets of instability in the economy.

Naira reaching N1000 by December will be a nightmare for the CBN and the Ministry of Finance. Both will prefer a slow and steady rise.

Managing an economy is a delicate game a chess. For every positive development in one part of the economy (e.g currency) there is a potential negative effect elsewhere.

So while naira reaching N1000 by December looks good on paper, it will reverse most of the gains we have made in the last 18 months when we started exporting more and importing less. It will also reverse the ongoing efforts to produce more of what we need here in Nigeria.

If Nigeria hits N1000 by December, imported goods will become significantly cheaper next year, and the country will go back to importing more of everything. Yes, the man on the street will be happier, but long term the economy will become worse and more import-dependent.

The biggest short, medium, and long term beneficiary will be China where we import most things from. Over time, our own local industries will die a slow death. We will enjoy cheaper goods prices but our future children will have no jobs as our industries are hollowed out over time. We will basically become an economic colony of China

Yes, it is a good thing for naira to appreciate, but it is better for that appreciation to happen at a slow and steady pace to give the Ministry of Finance and the CBN time to make necessary policy changes.

I suspect the CBN would probably prefer naira not to reach N1000 to a dollar until around mid to late 2026, though I don't think they'll be able to control the timing of naira appreciation 100%. But, I can bet you that CBN will be buying dollars furiously if its data shows an impending destabilising naira gains. Buying dollars effectively means supporting the dollars against the naira smiley

Some may be surprised by the idea of the CBN supporting the dollar against the naira, but that is part of the job of the CBN. Support the naira if there is a need to, and buy (support) the dollar if there is a need to.
I agree mostly with you . Wait until 2026 when elections start . Dollar will rise like crazy . Is it not our politicians again ? Governors will convert funds to dollars , even Tinubu will need dollars , plenty of it for reelection .

I will put the projected appreciation to post 2027 elections . Depending on the outcome of that election

https://tribuneonlineng.com/flashback-how-tinubu-blamed-jonathan-for-killing-of-christians-in-2014/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter
But Tinubu was right . Boko haram then targeted Christians ONLY ! The northern Muslims kept quiet and allegedly celebrated the attacks . Churches were bombed , christian communities were wiped out . Kaduna under el rufai is another example .

The truth is that now both Christians and Muslims are suffering . So if Trump says it is a christian genocide , he is not lying though it is not the full picture.
What irritates me the most is this administration trying to say Muslims too are killed . It stinks of incompetence and poor leadership . Should NIGERIANS be killed at all ? So because Muslims are also killed we should be quiet about the Christians that the state has failed to protect ?

Small attempted coup , every suspected house is raided and all suspects arrested . When it affects them.directly they are super effective!

Lmao . Of course it will . Who do you think mostly foot the taxes the wealthy pay ? The poor . Most business will always pass these bills to their products and the poor will pay for it . Watch out how prices will go up in 2026 .

Now the rich will always find loopholes and grease corrupt officials hands to reduce or avoid taxes altogether . They will increase their prices and yet pay less . The wealthy WILL always win . For example , Dangote recently justified the high cost of cement in nigeria compared to other African countries on the levies and taxes he pays . Nigerians pay high prices for cement . They use the cement to build houses and charge high rents for the poor tenants. So who has indirectly paid the taxes dangote pays ? The poor .

They will have to learn to build bridges, make amends, behave, be trustworthy, form alliances, make deals, learn the fundamentals of respect and act civilized and devoid of hidden agendas before anyone can be ELECTED from the SE. If you think people will just cede presidential power to you in the name of "equity", you're in for a looooooong thing. Nigeria is made up of diverse ethnic nations and so far there's been many ethnicities that have not tasted power. So why should it be Ibos? Or are you still hawking that WAZOBIA scam like gala? Why is it that anything Yoruba do, Ibo too must do? Are we twins? Presidency is not by emotional blackmail and guilt trip. It doesn't work that way.
I am not igbo . I am yoruba . Yes presidency is never given on a platter . chairman forget about "devious of hidden agenda " . Politics is full of agenda . Hidden and open . CelebritiesRe: I Can’t Marry Just For Love” – Tacha Says by parags(m): 2:39pm On Oct 19, 2025
DyshApp:
Former Big Brother Naija star, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has sparked reactions online after revealing that love alone can’t make her marry when it comes to choosing a life partner.

In an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Tacha shared that her views on marriage have evolved since she rose to fame and became financially independent.

She revealed that she can no longer consider marrying purely for love and stressed that her future husband must match her wealth and status.

“I can’t marry just for love. I’m looking for a billionaire. I’m a millionaire, so my potential husband should be richer than me. I’m certain I can’t marry for love,” she said.

Tacha added that before participating in Big Brother Naija in 2019, marrying for love might have been an option, but her current lifestyle and achievements have changed her standards.

She explained that fame has brought a new perspective to relationships, where financial compatibility and lifestyle alignment are now crucial factors.

She believes that settling down with someone who doesn’t match her financial or social status could lead to future conflicts.
