Kobojunkie: Empower INEC that gave you the last election that even international bodies came out in public to condemn. The same INEC that has not been able to get its acts together due to corruption from the top down? Why can't they work towards stemming out corruption in both INEC and SIEC? That would be a cheaper alternative and serve the people even better, don't you think? Obi had the opportunity to prove how he won the election and how he was rigged out... Move on, Tinubu will rule till may 29 2031 |

Demurray: Why didn't they allow INEC to conduct the elections, the move is just wasting of resources, time and financial The elections need to be conducted the same day as scheduled for the governorship election. The LG ballots paper and boxes are the only things to be added. I also thought they will empower INEC to conduct LG elections. |

helinues: We have federal Inec, state Inec already which are yet to function the way they supposed to , why adding local Inec?
They can add National to the body National Local Government Independent Electoral Commission, which would be created from the national Inec. In such a case, PO from Katstina can be the election manager for the LG election in Ibadan. State Inec can conduct the election but supervised by national PO I even thought SIECs will be scrapped while INEC will be empowered to hold LG elections. |

Can the LG oversight themselves? The FG will likely have oversight over it |

Baxilexi: Truths/ norms should not be contextual.
Nigerians should learn always to align with our constitutional laws in the face of personal interests that’s what civility/virtue demands.
How can a senator be relieved of his post because of his criticism of the president? I can understand being sacked from the party, but what happened at the senate level is treasonous.
Does NASS serve Nigerians or the president? If in doubt refer to Chapter 1, part II of the Nigerian constitution.
This is a bad precedent that all and sundry should condemn in strong terms.
Mr Ndume didn’t speak publicly because his bank account is suffering but for whatever reason that he did, our collective woes piggybacked on his alleged vituperations, which I believe most Nigerians should be grateful for.
Mr Abdul Ningi raised concerns about budget padding and was suspended.
This is becoming a trend, that should be nipped in the bud, or chainsawed if it has become an entity.
Shame on southern legislators. The APC senators elected him to become the Senate whip, they also have the power to remove him which they exercise yesterday. |

Prince111111: you should know already the FAAC to state without a voted LG chairman would be far reduced and BTW, how will you compare Rivers to osun chai you goofed big time States can fund their caretaker commitees. Just the way states with LCDAs will keep on funding LCDAs. He intentionally didn't hold an election because he wants to keep on controlling LG accounts. He has forced his appointees to resign now because there's no more free money |
