"I stayed in Adamawa for 3 years. That's where I learnt a little Hausa"

Would I be right to translate thus:

"Na zaUNa a Adamawa zai kai shekara uku. A Chan na koya Hausa kadan"

(I know I'm not completely right so I need corrections)

snowprince07: ok boss
but kanwa is like yo younger sister (tho I hv said earlier DAT Hausa varies from places.GOOD Morning
YES, KANWA IS YOUNGER SISTER. ER UWA CAN ALSO REPLACE IT, BUT CAN ALSO BE USE IN A DIFF FORM. IF I SAY MY BROTHER, ITS EITHER U ARE MY BLOOD BROTHER, OR I USE IT AS A GENERAL TERM, LIKE MY COMRADE, AFRICAN BROTHER, NAIRALAND BROTHER, SO IS D CASE FOR ER'UWA AND DAN'UWA
CultureRe: HAUSALAND: Teach Me Hausa by Paretomaster(m): 9:36am On Oct 03, 2014
snowprince07: hope u Gerrit tho u weren't asking me sorry for pokin Mah nose in lol grin
@ snowprince07, the kanwa ta i use to describe younger sister is the correct one, er' uwa as use in our translation, can be use as "OMO IYA MI" As it is in Yoruba. er' uwata, can be use to describe any sister u hold dear, she might not even be ur blood sister, even ur frienD, i can say ina er uwarki? to ask of ur close friend. hope u gerrit?

e.g ABURO = KANWA
OMO IYA MI= ER UWATA
