Boko Haram Was Online with Al Qaeda During ‘Conference Call’ Intercepted by the U.S.A.

Boko Haram leaders were among participants in an extensive “conference call” organised by Al Qaeda to plan massive terrorist attacks. This fact was reported on August 7, 2013, when more details of the interception by the U.S. intelligence became available.

The data obtained from the ‘conference’ triggered the closure of 20 American embassies, including four from sub-Saharan Africa countries, namely, Rwanda, Burundi, Mauritius, and Madagascar.

Officials, according to initial media reports, said the decision was taken after communications between al Qaeda leader, Egyptian-born, Ayman Zawahiri, and the group’s leader in Yemen, Nasser al-Wuhayshi, were intercepted last week. From other sources it has been gathered that the discussion between the two al Qaeda leaders was in a conference call that included the leaders or representatives of al Qaeda and its affiliates, who called through a presumably secure network, from different locations.

Three anonymous American operatives reported of more than 20 al Qaeda operatives were on the call.

“Al Qaeda members included representatives or leaders from Nigeria’s Boko Haram, the Pakistani Taliban, al Qaeda in Iraq, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, and more obscure al Qaeda affiliates such as the Uzbekistan branch,” the report said. “Also on the call were representatives of aspiring al Qaeda affiliates such as al Qaeda in the Sinai Peninsula, according to a U.S. intelligence official.” “This was like a meeting of the Legion of Doom,” another intelligence officer concluded.

The report, widely sourced by other U.S. media on Wednesday, reflected the global reaches of Boko Haram as the Nigerian government struggles back home to contain the deadly group that has massacred thousands of civilians.

Again, while Boko Haram appears on the U.S. list, the notorious Somali terror group, Al Shabaab, which operates on the horn of Africa, was not mentioned, potentially, a measure of Boko Haram’s strategic importance in the global terror network.

Also during the meeting, the various al Qaeda leaders discussed in vague terms plans for a pending attack and mentioned that a team or teams were already in place for such an attack. For some leading members of Congress, the revelation that al Qaeda’s leadership in Pakistan is actively managing and directing the operations of several affiliates directly refutes the Obama administration’s repeated assertion that the leadership of the core of the group has been decimated by American drone strikes and special operations forces while the affiliate groups have been strengthened.

Folakemi Akinbode was on Monday night attacked by suspected cultists who chopped off her right hand.

According to a report by LEADERSHIP, Miss Akinbode, a 26-year- old native of Ondo State and graduate of Nursing from the Madonna University, Elele in Rivers State, was attacked at about 8.30pm while returning to the NYSC Lodge near the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobori, near Yenagoa.

The report quotes a fellow corps member, who gave his name simply as Fred as saying that the attacked corps member was serving at the university teaching hospital where she was posted for her primary assignment.

According to Fred, the attack was a shock to many other corps members in the area.

The attacked Corps member is presently receiving treatment at the Teaching Hospital.

Paramount Ruler of the Community, the Ibolou XI of Obunagha, H.R.H Godsgive Apoh, who confirmed the incident, condemned it in very strong terms and summoned an emergency meeting of the Youth Vigilante Association to investigate and apprehend those involved in the attack.

When contacted on the development, the state police public relations officer, Mr Alex Akhigbe said though no arrest had been made, operatives had been deployed to track down the attackers.

Odota area along Airport Road in Ilorin, Kwara State, was on Sunday evening thrown into a momentary state of frenzy as a middle-aged man who hid under the cover of insanity to carry out his nefarious activities was beaten to a pulp, then set ablaze by a mob.

The victim, who feigned insanity to avoid detection, was nabbed while trying to abduct a nine-year old child.

When interrogated, the suspect, who identified himself as Raimi Wasiu, a native of Osogbo in Osun State, confessed to being a kidnapper alongside seven others and blamed economic hardship for his predicament.

He was also said to have confessed to be working for an Islamic cleric who lives around Hajj Camp, Ilorin.

An eyewitness disclosed that “People of the area have been watching the man who lived in an abandoned building by the roadside. And true to their suspicion, he was caught attempting to abduct a little child”.

The mob, after dispossessing the victim of charms, rings and amulets, set him ablaze.

The police, who we gathered were called, did not arrive until after the victim had been roasted alive and took his remains away.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Olufemi Fabode, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident, saying investigation has commenced. He however added that the police were yet to make any arrest.

Boko Haram Attack On Security Formations In Borno State Leaves 32 Terrorists Dead

boko-haramAt least 35 people have been killed in two separate gun battles between Nigerian security forces and Islamist sect Boko Haram in Borno State, the army said on Monday.

Boko Haram, which wants to impose sharia law in Nigeria’s north, and other spin-off Islamist groups, had become the biggest threat to the country’s stability, Reuters reports.

In mid-May, President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency and launched an offensive against the group in its stronghold in the northeast. The insurgency was initially weakened but remains active and is stretching the army.

Boko Haram gunmen on Sunday attacked a police base in Bama, a town close to the Cameroon border that has been frequently hit by violence in recent months.

“Troops have successfully repelled Boko Haram terrorist attacks on a police base in Bama … on August 4,” said military spokesman Sagir Musa.

Musa, a Nigerian Army Lieutenant Colonel, said one policeman and 17 members of Boko Haram were killed during the fighting, while two soldiers were injured.

He said four trucks, three motorbikes, dozens of explosive devices, three rocket-propelled grenades, 10 AK47 rifles and over 100 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the Islamists.

Boko Haram members also attacked a military base used by the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the town of Malam Fatori, triggering a gun battle that left two soldiers and 15 of its members dead, Musa said.

Police Arrest Three For ‘Premature Burial’ Of 18-year-old

Men of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested three persons at Oriokuta Community in Akoko South-east Local Government Area of the state for allegedly burying an 18-year-old boy, Sanmi Kehinde, who reportedly killed himself last week with his father’s gun.

Confirming the arrest, Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Ondo State Command, Mr. Wole Ogodo, said the suspects were arrested because the family of the deceased did not make any attempt to report the suicide to the police before hurriedly burying him.

Ogodo said the police had commenced investigation to unravel the circumstance that could lead to the death of the teenager, adding that the police was still awaiting the autopsy report to progress on the investigation.

“Immediately the incident happened, neither the family nor the neighbours reported the case to the police before they went ahead to bury the deceased, that is why the police make some arrest on the incident.”

“When the boy killed himself, the police is supposed to be informed, so that the police would have visited that scene of the crime, and if the boy would be buried the order should come from the police.

“The post-mortem examination would be carried out because it is one of those things to be done. We should know whether it is true that the boy shot himself or not, if it is true that he shot himself, where is the gun? Why should they hurriedly buried him, that is why we are suspicious, and made the arrest,” he said.

The deceased was said to have climbed the ceiling to carry his father’s gun which was said to have been loaded with bullets in company of his friend identified as Bolu.

The people at the vicinity, it was gathered, heard a heavy gunshot immediately Bolu left the scene. But on rushing to the scene, they met Sanmi rolling in the pool of his own blood.

The family hurriedly buried the deceased without informing any of the security agencies shortly after the incident, prompting investigation into the true cause of his death.

Panic In Abuja As Army, Police Prevent Mob From Burning Church

A joint effort by the Nigerian army and police earlier today prevented the attempted burning of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nyanya area of the federal capital territory in Abuja.

npfSources at the church told SaharaReporters that trouble started when a Hausa-speaking Muslim man in the area was prevented from parking his car too close to the church building. The measure was put in place as a way of preventing Islamist militants from attacking Christian places of worship on Sundays.

The man, however, resisted the police and soldiers guarding the church. An argument ensued leading to his arrest and humiliation by the security agents who told him to “frog-jump” in front of the church.

After his release by the police, the man reportedly went into the community to mobilize some people to attack the church and burn it down.

Panicked church members left the church leaving their cars behind.

However, a swift intervention by police and soldiers prevented the man and his mob from burning the church. The security agents then started shooting in the area leading more residents to flee the immediate vicinity of the crisis.

According to Saharareporters the man arrested and tortured by the soldiers died after he was tortured. The events following this was a protest by commercial bike riders in the area to protest his death at the hand of the soldiers guarding the church.

There is still no official confirmation at to what really transpired in Nyanya. All church members have been released from the church to go home as shooting the area has died down.

Leader Of Boko Haram Faction In Official Talks With The Nigerian Gov't Claims Responsibly For Deadly Kano Bombings, Says Abubakar Shekau Still Alive

A leader of the Boko haram faction that has been in negotiations with the Nigerian government appointed "Amnesty Committee " headed by a government minister yesterday declared that his team carried out the deadly Kano bombings that killed over 40 people in the Sabo-Gari area of the Kano.

The new leader, Mohammed Marwana released an audio message obtained by Saharareporters. Mr. Marwana's assertions in the audio yesterday added a new twist to the controversy surrounding the authenticity of the faction of the islamist militant group in talks with the federal government and recent claims that the old leader of the groups was deposedafter he was shot.

Speaking in Hausa language, Marwana said the Kano bombings was carried out to prove that he is the authentic leader of the sect because people continue to doubt him and his group of negotiators.

“I personally instructed the attack in Kano to prove to the world that, I am the real leader of Boko Haram because there have been retrogressive forces on the issue of dialogue, who kept doubting my leadership in the sect. I told them ahead that there will be attack, and it has happened. It is a warning, and we need to say again that we carried out the attacks in Kano”, he said.

The man who claimed to have been appointed leader of the sect debunked speculations that the globally known leader of the sect, Imam Abubakar Shekau is dead. Marwana stated that Shekau is alive and that nothing has happened to him except that he lost leadership of the sect.
Speaking further in the audio message, he stated, “Shekau is alive contrary to speculations, except that he lost leadership of the sect. I will not tell you where he is, but he is alive, and we talked with him not up to three hours ago, except if he died while I am talking.”

There has been controversy regarding authenticity of Marwana as a member of the sect and its leadership, as he was recently dismissed by Imam Shekau in a Youtube video after he claimed that the sect had agreed to cease-fire with Nigerian government.

SHOCKING: Man Scales Fence To Have s*x With Mad Woman (PHOTO)

21-year-old Lateef Sulaiman has been arrested by Officials of the Lagos State Government for allegedly scaling a 14-feet fence to gain entrance into the Lagos State Rehabilitation and Training Centre, Majidun area of Ikorodu, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, to have s*x with a mad woman.

Sulaiman was said to have jumped into the female dormitory around 9.30 p.m. recently and had s*x with a deranged woman before he was arrested and handed over to the taskforce at Alausa.

In his confessional statement at the taskforce headquarters, Sulaiman allegedly said he had had s*x with a mad woman at the rehabilitation centre on five occasions before his arrest, saying that he knew where the female dormitory was because he had gone to the centre in the past to seek employment and had thoroughly studied the environment.

He was arraigned at the Special Offences Court, Alausa in Ikeja for his alleged offence

Sulaiman was slammed with a four-count charge. In the first count charge, he was said to have scaled the 14-feet fence of the rehabilitation home and slept with a mentally ill inmate and thus committed an offence punishable under the laws of Lagos State.

Having pleaded not guilty, he was granted bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties who must be civil servants and present evidence of tax payment for five years.

Sulaiman could not meet the bail conditions and was remanded at the Badagry Prison.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Social Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru, lamented that there is a lot of satanic rituals going on in the society, wondering what could have made a young man scale the fence to sleep with a mad woman.

“It is this same satanic ritual that makes a herbalist to tell a man to bring the private part of somebody to be used for rituals without killing the person in order to get rich,” he said.

He said it is senseless and baseless for a man to want to sleep with a mad woman, thinking that his fortune in life would change for the better.

According to him, the only thing such a bizarre act could do to a man was to make him contract deadly diseases.

“This act is simply part of the activities of ritualists and a way to get money in a quick means. The case is in court,” he said.

THE Church has since become a cracked record, no thanks to the randy pastors. Leaders fight dirty for positions.

If the full facts were known, we would easily find that 50 percent of the case loads in our courts emanate from the pulpit.

We defecate on the altar; rip off pages of the Bible to clean up; and go free. The pastor has lost the moral courage to question us.

After all, he has just completed a secret burial of a member of the choir that he impregnated and took through a failed abortion. It’s a sordid affair! In the beginning, the church was one place where people thought they could seek protection in times of trouble.

Every definition of rape, from Wikipedia to the Black’s Law Dictionary or the Nigerian Criminal Code, accepts basically the same attributes – sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse, which is initiated by one or more persons against another person without that person’s consent.

The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority or with a person who is incapable of valid consent, such as one who is unconscious, incapacitated or below the legal age of consent.

The U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (1999) estimates that 91 percent of rape victims are female, while nine percent are male. Conversely, 99percent of the offenders are male while one percent is female.

To qualify for rape, the act does not necessarily have to contain all the elements enumerated above. If we were to restrict ourselves to the issue of consent, Ed Gein, the Wisconsin necrophiliac would have remained totally innocent in rape records. Before he was arrested in 1957, Ed Gein was a sexually frustrated man who got a kick from digging up newly buried female corpses, using them to satisfy his sexual urge and eating parts of them.

In the past, anything was fair in war, love and politics. When an army captured a place, soldiers raped the girls with impunity. Rape was regarded as the spoils of war; the fringe benefit for soldiers. During the Nigerian civil war, it became a disadvantage to be beautiful. When the soldiers captured one of those coastal towns along the River Niger, a beautiful girl was held captive.

With the mother at the sitting room, ten soldiers lined up to take their turns in that single ‘borehole’. The girl was wailing in excruciating pains in the room, the mother was comforting her in their dialect: “My daughter, dooo, be patient, only five of them remaining”. This debit side of the war was commonplace.

The credit side was much brighter. The Northern soldiers married our beautiful girls as the war progressed and today, we have all the fine results to show for their efforts at uniting the nation all over the place.

Things are changing. In 1998, Judge Navanethem Pillay of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda declared: “From time immemorial, rape has been regarded as spoils of war. Now it will be considered a war crime. We want to send out a strong message that rape is no longer a trophy of war”. The happenings in the house of God in Nigeria today provide a most frightening glimpse into our future.

The message is coming out loud and clear, that rape is right if it is in the church. We have randomly picked up a few headlines in the newspapers of the past two weeks: “Pastor accused of raping minors at orphanage” – The Punch; “Court adjourns case against Pastor to September 24″; “Court remands pastor for alleged rape of church member” – Vanguard; “CAC Pastor allegedly rapes, impregnates church member”; “Pastor rapes and impregnates teenage girl in his church”; “Man, 40, rapes 10-month old girl inside church” – Online Nigeria; “Shameless Pastor rapes 12-year old girl” – Church Daily Post Nigeria; “Nigerian Bishop rapes female student…”. Call it sexual perversity or promiscuity, it is all happening in the church.

Enter Pastor Fidelis Eze of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Abudu Branch. It is a double-barrel attack: Paraded by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly raping two eleven-year-old girls.

And then, Pastor Philip Ogbebor – allegedly had carnal knowledge of a 20-year-old male member of his church; administered secret oaths on him and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.

Bishop Chibuike Nwabueze personally stated his own case. He was invited to minister at Calvary Army Ministry, Rumuoji Eneka in Obio Akpor LGA. After preaching, he went to rest. While he was resting, a girl came for deliverance. While he was yet pleading the blood of Jesus on the girl, she had undressed. Before he could restrain the girl, he was already reading her ‘New Testament’. Nwabueze says he had been set up by the host pastor because of the tussle over the chairmanship of the Rivers State Communion of Bishops. Meanwhile, a pregnancy has resulted and an abortion procured. Whichever way the coin falls, he is a culprit: head he loses; tail, he does not win. The chairmanship rivalry only succeeds in exposing another side – the dirty politics in the church.

Where do we go from here? First, rape is madness and like all mad people do, rapists deserve our prayers. The church must continually pray for them.

Second, rape is the moral equivalent of war and it must be treated as such! The more advanced democracies of the world are already facing it squarely. We have enough laws in our statute books to deal with the menace. While Section 358 of the Criminal Code prescribes life sentence for anyone found guilty of rape, Section 359 prescribes 14 years imprisonment for attempted rape.

Most importantly, true cleansing of the church must start from within. The easiest way of perpetuating evil is for good men to do nothing. Decent members of the church community cannot continue to watch while these randy pastors drag everyone deeper into the abyss. We want to hear the hot debates and correctional fights raging in their fold!
