Following the instruction given by the NCC to Telecommunication companies to deactivate all pre-registered SIM card, MTN Nigeria deactivated some sim cards where some were not, which resulted to their been Fined by the telecommunication commission. Those customers whose sim cards were deactivated were instructed to visit any Telecommunication outlet to register their sim cards or update their data. While some of those whose sim cards were not disconnected are being prompted to visit any mobile outlet to register their sim cards to avoid being disconnected. Mtn Nigeria is currently compensating and rewarding those who gets their sim card registered with thousands of airtime and other freebies. If you've not registered yours, you are advised to do so, so as to avoid been disconnected, also if you are not sure whether your is registered or not, you can simply dial *789# on your Mtn sim card to comfirm. If you have been using simple server, psiphon, open vpn or other vpn apps, you would notice that you can't ordinarily tether or share them through WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth or USB hotspot. But today i am going to show you how you can easily do that, but before we proceed, if you don't know how to configure the simple server indicate. So we proceed!! If you successfully set up either of your simple server or psiphon and you'd love to tether or share them to other Android devices or PC(personal computer) simply follow these steps carefully and you would be able to do just that. To tether or share to other Android Phones or WiFi enabled devices Firstly get your simple server or psiphon started on your phone and make sure it is acually connected i.e browsing on the phone, once this is done, turn on your WIFI hotspot and make sure the security setting is set to default i.e none. Turn on the Wifi of the phone or device you want to tether or share with and allow it to search for available connections. Once it finds your hotspot, connect to it and modify the network setting as follows: Click on the Advanced setting option, a drop down menu will show the proxy type, simply change this from 'none' to 'manual' and set up the proxy setting thus; Proxy hostname: 127.0.0.1 Proxy Port: 8080 save this setting and you'll be able to browse on the phone. To tether or share to PC or laptops This part actually requires a simple app just to bypass a few tethering limitations and as such your phone has to be rooted for this app to work effectively. The name of the app is DF tethering fix You can download the app Here Once download switch on your hotspot before opening the app, when it opens simply click on the 'fix tethering' option and we are done. Turn on the WiFi on the PC or laptop and connect and enjoy. Source: http://techstine..com/2015/10/easily-tether-or-share-your-simple.html |
