ledaman:Are you trying to be clever or what? That's why Nigeria is in the state that it is. The man himself has admitted a guilty plea, so do you know more than him about what he has done? |
Seik:Do you really think you know more than the terrorism sponsor who has already pled guilty to the charge?? Being clever doesn't cut it. He directly aided money to be laundered for terrorists. He has admitted he is guilty. That says a lot. |
Naturalgbola:Do you really think you know more than the terror sponsor who has already pled guilty to the charge?? |
Repatriation abi reparation? |
HedgesTV:So what is the issue here? Nedu asked you to sleep with him. You said no and left. He didn't r.ape or sexually assault you. What is the issue in this boring story? People just bring up sex and we are meant to be scandalised because it's still a taboo topic for us. VDM on the other hand has admitted to giving other men hand jobs for money. He's Gay for Pay, which is worse. Ashewo man. |
abbey621:Try freeing yourself sometimes, not everything is racism. How boring that you bring race into every discussion. Did you miss my point about soft skills? I'm sure that went right over your head. Communication is only 7% verbal...over 90% is nonverbal. You only know what was said, you have no clue of the context. Was she fidgety? Over defensive? Over explaining? I'm sure you're not interested in that. All you want is to be a racism champion with 15 years in the UK as your credential. Free yourself and actually enjoy the country you live in. Let racism be the last explanation for human behaviour, not the first one! |
abbey621:You don't seem to understand police protocol very much. Mrs X rightly alerts police about a lady who is on the phone speaking loudly (our girl admits she was) about getting drugs and excited about getting these drugs to someone else. Mrs X thinks this is a drug deal with intent to supply and shares this with police. Police arrive and our girl admits she did indeed purchase drugs. Later on, she realises the miscommunication and wants to clarify things. Police therefore feel she may be changing her story and continue to conduct a search to be absolutely certain. Unfortunately we sometimes lack soft skills that can help to deescalate these sort of situations. The girl in question fully understands what went wrong which relates to miscommunication, has learnt the lesson and most importantly, shared the lesson with others. That's all that is apparent from this story. You really have to make loads of assumptions to identify any (c)overt racism in this case. |
datola:This is not the point. My post couldn't be clearer. You can't teach the English about English language. |
abbey621:Once you put race at the center of your thinking, you stop understanding basic gaffes. Even the victim did not once mention racism. She simply shared what the issue was, which was miscommunication. Once a police report is received on drug dealing, the police have to investigate until there's reasonable evidence to the contrary. Your contrary argument about a white person makes no sense in this case. Why would a white British woman refer to medications as drugs? It simply will never happen. Case closed. |
Drella:If you're talking about the UK system, again you're completely wrong. Maximum child maintenance rate in the UK is 31% of the paying parents income for 3 or more children. It's not even hidden knowledge, you can legally compute it yourself on gov.uk |

ehikwe22:Context is everything. If you've ever lived in the UK, you'll know there's no racism in this. Medications are what you get from the chemist. Drugs are illicit substances. Language is dependent on geography. In the UK, being sick means vomiting. In Nigeria being sick means feeling unwell. The purpose of language is communication so when we move abroad, we learn the language of the new country, including any contextual cues and adapt to that new way of speaking, otherwise we may be misunderstood. The girl has learned the lesson and is learning how to be British, which is about not taking oneself too seriously, and being able to laugh at one's mistakes ![]() |
datola:Are you really teaching English people how to speak English? You're teaching the owners of the language how to speak their own language. Nawah for you oo |
Drella:Impossible. Go to gov.uk to calculate child maintenance for 2 kids on an income of £3500. It can never be more than £1500 even if the paying parent has zero contact. |
Everyone is screaming $15k is too much. Keep in mind that the guy most likely earns more than $30k per month, because the court cannot ask you to pay more than half of your income as child support. It was his decision to take his own life rather than give half of his income to his children, but that decision was certainly not due to financial inability because he was well able to afford that. Also it doesn't matter if you are not married. You will still pay child support. |
zed7:That job needs to be done. Nigeria has done it before in 1983 when there were over 1 million undocumented Ghanaians in Nigeria, and over 1 million other Africans without legal right to reside in Nigeria. It's a common sense thing to do, not a hatchet job to take a hard stance on illegal immigration. |
HitSong:It's not the culture or religion of Switzerland, so they can wear the burqa in the middle east and north Africa |
Why is Dangote telling us the shipping rate. Which ships transport fuel within Nigeria? So if marketers but at N990 per litre Transport and logistics will probably cost N150/ litre Then marketer profit N150 per litre Assuming there are no middlemen, petrol will be available to Nigerians at almost N1300 per litre Realistically, with middleman logistics and profits, petrol will be N1500/ litre This country is completely finished! Dangote is a con artist and I hope imports continue as there's zero benefit to Nigerians for having Dangote refinery |
Warrior99:Suddenly you're the expert at spotting hard-core gays. Are you gay yourself? |
Cylinder:That doesn't sound logical at all. Don Jazzy has definitely done the right thing. Tag the person and stop using us all for content |
You are confusing best before date with expiry date Best before date is the date until when the manufacturer can guarantee the product's freshness. After that date, it is still safe to eat but the manufacturer cant guarantee it will still be fresh. Expiry means do not eat after that day because the product is expected to have gone bad. Does the egg appear bad, smell bad, or watery? If not, its definitely safe to eat. |
Ebubu:Don't be so dense that you can't tell the difference between a federal government project and a state project. |
Flangelo12:Your facts are incorrect. 80% of HIV transmissions in Nigeria occur through heterosexual se. x |
As usual, Nigeria is the dumping ground for global misinformation. This is 100% made up, in case it wasn't already painfully obvious. |
On the issue of nationality, what do people think of Chidimma Adetshina, born and raised in South Africa to a Nigerian father from Enugu and a Mozambican mother, but for complex reasons, is now not technically South African. I'm presuming that by allowing her to participate in our beauty pageant she was de facto accepted to be Nigerian, but I would be interested in the actual law that supports this. By contrast, do children of Gambian nationals born in Nigeria gain Nigerian nationality at birth? And is this nationality by virtue of birth in Nigeria, having lived in Nigeria or strictly by having parents who are Nigerians? Also, do Enugu people recognise her as Onye Enugwu having not been born here nor lived here nor speak the language? Do tribal affiliations overcome these other barriers? Just trying to understand the law better. PS Just to add this is not a shade, I genuinely feel sorry for her and wish her well, and can't imagine how it must hurt to be rejected by the country you were born in and lived in all your life. T for thanks.

Subsidy is gone! Nigeria has gone through Worsening Hyperinflation + 10 trillion naira black hole in government budget + Desperate tax cuts + Desperate import reliefs in order to bring subsidy back, yet teh people are suffering more than ever before. |
Elections have consequences. The spiral descent to the bottom continues. |
GanagiBitrus:Brother, I'll leave it up to you to figure out the difference between 'be where you are celebrated' and 'be where you hope to be celebrated' |
GanagiBitrus: Go back to primary school and learn your tenses, man. |
1L of petrol in Nigeria - $0.6 1L of petrol in England - $1.7 Minimum wage in Nigeria - $44 Minimum wage in England - $2500 God will punish Tinumbu! |
GanagiBitrus:This makes no sense, he's never played for Gala before so how can he be celebrated there. Matter of fact, he may even experience the same treatment there. |
After kicking a young boy. Abeg getat! |
