fyi .. I've accepted the fact that she doesn't have PID ..

My arguement is about if PID is a cause of secondary dysmenorrhoea or not ..

ever heard of endometritis?? .. is it cause of secondary dysmenorrhoea or not ..

Answery question without using Google if you're are as good as you say...

I started to type a response explaining myself for the umpteenth time then I realised sometimes it's best to let people revel in their ignorance.

"Other causes of secondary dysmenorrhea include the following: Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) Uterine fibroids. Abnormal pregnancy (miscarriage, ectopic"

As gotten from Google..

Go make your research sir ...

I'm done here..

That list is written by someone who knows just as little as you do.
Do you know what "pelvic inflammatory disease" means? You think an infected/inflamed womb causes pain for 5 days then goes away until the next month 😆 .

In any case, OP has made it clear they don't have a discharge but you are too proud to admit you're wrong. Smh

Silentgroper:
yes, it causes painful periods...

No it does not.
PID causes pelvic pain that is independent of periods, ; it doesn't cause cyclical pain.

Surprised about UK... Thought they all speak English.. US and Canada still understandable because of the boundaries between fellow soutthern and northern American countries that speak Spanish and Latin.

They're called Latin America because their current languages eg Spanish and Italian are derived from Latin, but they don't speak Latin - no country speaks Latin anymore, essentially a dead language.

Silentgroper:
said her bleeding has a foul smell . Me think this is a case of PID .. Besides endometriosis is related to secondary dysmenorrhea

Possible but PID won't cause cyclical bleeding or painful periods. Endometriosis will.
There are too many unknowns however, she just needs a proper assessment.

Removing your womb or hysterectomy is a radical treatment for something that could potentially be easily treated.
First you need to see a Gynaecologist.
Given the symptoms you're describing ie heavy menstrual bleed and painful periods, the possibilities are endometriosis, primary dysmenorrhoea etc

This may be easily treated with the Mirena coil.

The Chinese will buy it from them for 250K naira at best, then make 100 million naira worth of electrical products from it.
That's because the miners have no way of utilising it, their only option is to sell it to the Chinese, our new colonial masters.

Health / Re: How Do I Travel With Antiretroviral Drugs For My Brother by passion007: 2:34pm On Mar 02
exynos:

It is possible to get the virus from a shared clipper service. I know the number of times I have bled from barbing.

The odds are quite low but you should understand that there is a possibility.

Do you know that in the 40+ years since HIV has been around, there is not a single case report of HIV transmission from a haircut/razor/clipper.

That route of transmission is only a theoretical possibility; in reality, it never happens.
Health / Re: How Do I Travel With Antiretroviral Drugs For My Brother by passion007: 9:00am On Mar 01
exynos:
It's so disturbing to understand that many NLanders feel HIV is only transmitted through sexual intercourse.

They fail to understand that a microstrain of the virus on the blade of a poorly disinfected clipper could infect a host. Or an unseen sharp nail-like metal that must have pierced an infected host in a Danfo bus could infect a clean host. SMH

You cannot get HIV from a puncture from a discarded nail. HIV is a very fragile virus that does not survive for long outside the human body.

Similarly, it's nearly impossible to get HIV by sharing clippers - the clipper would have had to cause open bleeding skin on a person with HIV then immediately used on you and cause open bleeding skin on you. In all my 40 years of having my hair cut, I have never bled from a clipper.

So, people are right to focus on sexual transmission because that is the major means of HIV transmission, usually from people who don't know they're living with HIV. People with HIV who are on treatment and undetectable however cannot pass on HIV to anyone else.

FreeStuffsNG:

ARVs are prescription medications.

HIV management is more than just drugs. Not even here in our HIV Clinics do we immediately place you on ARVs immediately, given the benefits of waiting outweighs the risk of immediately placing you on it, after the confirmation. We usually don't and it's standard in the tx guideline.

In his case, if he's yet to be placed on ARVs or eventually on a different class of ARVs from the ones you're taking there, your effort may amount to waste.

It's better he starts the treatment there first then discuss his concerns with his care provider. There are support groups that will help him even without you getting into any hassle.

I refuse to believe that any country in the world delays the commencement of ARVs in 2024.

The benefits of immediate commencement of ARVs have been demonstrated in the START trial more than 10 years ago, and have been accepted all across the west and all over Africa.

So which country are you practising your quackery in??

Other workers are other workers. Doctors are Doctors
It costs so much to train one. Government subsidized medical education for the good of Nigerians not for the good of UK.
Dont tell me about wages... Doctors are among the best paid Nigerians.
Equipment?...not bad. (But you trained with those equipments manage it to work too)
Working conditions?...they have one of the best in the country
And like I said
It will make more sense if you want go work in the UK to train as a doctor in the UK too
Why do you think even UK citizens are not even studying medicine.....it's the cost
The UK health system is heavily reliant on medical workers from India and Nigeria.
The UK government is gaming it's two biggest former colony

Oh yes, our health system is so perfect that all the politicians are treated abroad. What a clown!

Interesting take on history. I read the Igbo - Igala borderland by Shelton in university - it does provide a unique perspective. I however look forward to reading an indigenous account of Igbo Igala relations. Please let me know how to order the paperback version.

We can see it's not only Africa that shy away from office tangolo.

I'm Igbo, but I absolutely hate this expansionism depicted in your post.
Not everything is about you!

Udoka is an Akwaibom name, as is Udom, Udo, Udoudo, so don't be so ignorant. Don't diminish other people, cos it makes them resent you.

Yet you wonder why you are resented when you want to claim every successful person.

Just because it sounds Igbo doesn't make it Igbo. Learn about the cultures of others and be more respectful.

The meat no sweet, and you cannot convince me otherwise. grin

Cook your meat in less liquid so the meat can absorb the seasoning.

Soggy onions and green peppers - not for me, thank you. grin. Wish you had caramelised it first.

4 cubes of big - ar$e knorr cubes? Looks like you're making a pot of high blood pressure cheesy

Excessive Vegetable oil. The stew base should be more water than vegetable oil.

Lastly, to add insult to injury, cornmeal and tomato stew? grin

But you look handsome and healthy, so the food must be nutritious - just not tasty wink

Hi guys, please allow me ask a basic question.
I would appreciate if people are not snide or rude in their comments please, thank you.

So I've been growing my hair for the past 10 months. I always used to keep a low cut, so growing hair is new for me.

But the problem is my hair curls a bit too much. In fact, the longer it grows, the tighter it curls and I can't achieve my aim of having an actual afro.

My hair also tangles a lot, even though I use a detangler, would comb my hair in the shower, and oil it daily, but it still tangles so much that I've given up combing it, especially because it is painful, I spend 15 minutes combing everyday, and lose hair in the process.

Just wanting advice about what to do so my hair does not tangle and becomes easier to comb.

Please see pics.

Thank you

Health / Nigerian Researchers Predicted The Current Monkeypox Outbreak Back In 2017 (pic) by passion007: 9:20pm On May 25, 2022
I know we don't celebrate our researchers as they are often shut down by conspiracy theorists who think they know better, but let me share this.

I attended a Europe wide summit on the recent monkeypox outbreak, and was pleased to find that as far back as 2017, a team of Nigerian researchers from the University Teaching Hospital, Bayelsa State, Nigeria namely:

Dimie Ogoina,
James Hendris Izibewule,
Adesola Ogunleye,
Ebi Ederiane,
Uchenna Anebonam,
Aworabhi Neni,
Chikwe Ihekweazu

These eminent persons hypothesised that during the monkeypox outbreak of 2017 (Yes, Nigeria recorded the largest monkeypox outbreak in 2017), that Sexual transmission was a plausible mode of transmission. Their observation gives early insight into understanding the new epidemic in Europe where Sexual transmission is thought to be the primary mode of spread.

International bodies including IUSTI and BASHH gave special mention to these men and thanked them for their groundbreaking research.

I hope these men continue to feed the world of science with their noble research in order to help humanity overcome yet another looming epidemic.

@dominique @Sissy3, would you agree these men are an embodiment of the Nigerian spirit: determination in the face of adversity.
