exynos:Do you know that in the 40+ years since HIV has been around, there is not a single case report of HIV transmission from a haircut/razor/clipper. That route of transmission is only a theoretical possibility; in reality, it never happens. |
exynos:You cannot get HIV from a puncture from a discarded nail. HIV is a very fragile virus that does not survive for long outside the human body. Similarly, it's nearly impossible to get HIV by sharing clippers - the clipper would have had to cause open bleeding skin on a person with HIV then immediately used on you and cause open bleeding skin on you. In all my 40 years of having my hair cut, I have never bled from a clipper. So, people are right to focus on sexual transmission because that is the major means of HIV transmission, usually from people who don't know they're living with HIV. People with HIV who are on treatment and undetectable however cannot pass on HIV to anyone else. |
FreeStuffsNG:I refuse to believe that any country in the world delays the commencement of ARVs in 2024. The benefits of immediate commencement of ARVs have been demonstrated in the START trial more than 10 years ago, and have been accepted all across the west and all over Africa. So which country are you practising your quackery in?? |

Difrent:Oh yes, our health system is so perfect that all the politicians are treated abroad. What a clown! |
This story hasn't aged well ha |
Echile:He literally explained the phrase in his very first sentence. Every author is at liberty to coin unique words or phrases as they see fit. We need to be calming down - the courage to criticise is very cheap. @OP Interesting take on history. I read the Igbo - Igala borderland by Shelton in university - it does provide a unique perspective. I however look forward to reading an indigenous account of Igbo Igala relations. Please let me know how to order the paperback version. |
ValeeLove:At your age you still dey believe apostles. Hahaha |
He clearly intends to say Peter MBA who is his arch rival. Use your brain. The number of times we all say Peter Obi in a day, I'm not surprised if everyone named Peter is now called Peter Obi |
Chizzyjforce:I'm Igbo, but I absolutely hate this expansionism depicted in your post. Not everything is about you! Udoka is an Akwaibom name, as is Udom, Udo, Udoudo, so don't be so ignorant. Don't diminish other people, cos it makes them resent you. Yet you wonder why you are resented when you want to claim every successful person. Just because it sounds Igbo doesn't make it Igbo. Learn about the cultures of others and be more respectful. |
The meat no sweet, and you cannot convince me otherwise. ![]() Cook your meat in less liquid so the meat can absorb the seasoning. Soggy onions and green peppers - not for me, thank you. . Wish you had caramelised it first. 4 cubes of big - ar$e knorr cubes? Looks like you're making a pot of high blood pressure ![]() Excessive Vegetable oil. The stew base should be more water than vegetable oil. Lastly, to add insult to injury, cornmeal and tomato stew? ![]() But you look handsome and healthy, so the food must be nutritious - just not tasty ![]() |
Angelfrost:You have no idea what you're talking about. No place in Nigeria has ever been near 50 degrees. We just have poor respect for numbers in Naija, that's why people can claim their grandfather is 177 years and nobody takes them to task |
Mandate2023:How is it a normal thing in Nigeria to have 41'C weather? Most states in Nigeria have never crossed 36 degrees. Only Borno gets hotter than 42 degrees |

Chinjo2:It's sad that you think the only solution to bad governance is to run away |
dawnomike:Okay When people say they 'blow out' their hair. What do they do? And can I do that |
dawnomike:I'm a 35 year old man hah |
harqinhola:Could you elaborate |
Hi guys, please allow me ask a basic question. I would appreciate if people are not snide or rude in their comments please, thank you. So I've been growing my hair for the past 10 months. I always used to keep a low cut, so growing hair is new for me. But the problem is my hair curls a bit too much. In fact, the longer it grows, the tighter it curls and I can't achieve my aim of having an actual afro. My hair also tangles a lot, even though I use a detangler, would comb my hair in the shower, and oil it daily, but it still tangles so much that I've given up combing it, especially because it is painful, I spend 15 minutes combing everyday, and lose hair in the process. Just wanting advice about what to do so my hair does not tangle and becomes easier to comb. Please see pics. Thank you

Rapmoney:You talk like finding a safe place in a THUNDERSTORM is one easy thing to do. Do you realise you can skid off the road while looking for your so called safe place Some of y'all be giving advice completely out of touch with reality. |
Cousin9999:Lol you're funny. Do you think you can turn up at a car park and start selling your goods without a permit. She was told she was trespassing, and ordered to leave, but she said she will leave when she wants ie within the hour. Then she was arrested for trespassing and she resisted arrest. There's no case here. She is in the wrong |
I know we don't celebrate our researchers as they are often shut down by conspiracy theorists who think they know better, but let me share this. I attended a Europe wide summit on the recent monkeypox outbreak, and was pleased to find that as far back as 2017, a team of Nigerian researchers from the University Teaching Hospital, Bayelsa State, Nigeria namely: Dimie Ogoina, James Hendris Izibewule, Adesola Ogunleye, Ebi Ederiane, Uchenna Anebonam, Aworabhi Neni, Chikwe Ihekweazu These eminent persons hypothesised that during the monkeypox outbreak of 2017 (Yes, Nigeria recorded the largest monkeypox outbreak in 2017), that Sexual transmission was a plausible mode of transmission. Their observation gives early insight into understanding the new epidemic in Europe where Sexual transmission is thought to be the primary mode of spread. International bodies including IUSTI and BASHH gave special mention to these men and thanked them for their groundbreaking research. I hope these men continue to feed the world of science with their noble research in order to help humanity overcome yet another looming epidemic. @dominique @Sissy3, would you agree these men are an embodiment of the Nigerian spirit: determination in the face of adversity.

Evidenx:Nigerian hospitals that can't test for anything other than malaria and typhoid, are suddenly testing for canine brucellosis. That's how you know this story is concocted and a lie |
BloomingDale:What an Irredeemably foolish post! |
dialfa:Good observation. Wrong audience. |
obinnajohnson:Can you mention one country in this world that trusts the other. You don't have to trust them. Our leaders just need to capitalise on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take over the very lucrative European Market. But we already know our leaders can't be asked to put on their thinking caps |
Poor guy has needlessly paid the price of Africa's ignorance and fetishism, when an injection of adrenaline could have saved his life . Angiodema is not witchcraft, people. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/angioedema/

We are so easy to impress. So now that you've cleaned it up, where will the waste generated over the next 2 months go? Or its just going to reaccumulate. Enugu runs an efficient waste collection system, and even our Innoson produces waste disposal trucks for them. Soludo needs to understudy the system in Enugu and apply it here. |
BigBashiru:I hope this is one massive joke. If you're serious, then you can't be taken seriously lol |
FoolaniHellman:During #EndSars, imagine if the world adopted this your mentality. Buhari would have killed all of us with no questions asked. |
