If there is violence in your marriage, I'd advice you to just leave your house and visit your brother or sister, and can't you explain to your in laws?.
There is something I learnt/inherited from my mom, she always keep things to herself.. There was a time that my dad's relations called mom and asked her if they (my parent's) ever quarrel because she hasn't been complaining to them about anything he does to her. There are many reasons why I get scared when the word marriage comes up... I hate marriage, I pray not to get married ever... Modern day marriages are just scams and shams |

anumide: Nope, I am not afraid of my dad, of the both of them, my mum is the tigress sef. Leave my example alone, don't build your point around it, under normal conditions, men should be the spiritual leaders of their homes. What's normal?. So if I mistakenly married a girl that is later called to serve as a Pastor, I should be her 'HEAD' spiritually? |

DrGroove: Hi Nairalanders, have noticed men like old rich ladies called sugar mummy. Is it out of economic hardship or what? A man of 30 + who should be thinking of starting his own family still seeking an old woman to take care of him. What's happening? Young girls now prefer older men leaving the young guys lonely and Konjied ... The guys got to help themselves. |

EmmyDe25: The Point 5 though. Okay, lets deviate a bit. so if i tell my girlfriend to improve her looks/wardrobe, i have to finance her? Exactly why it is not ideal to go after an anyhow babe. Of course taking her shopping isn't out of point and buying her things you think would look good on her will be seen as an act of good gesture, but then, you should know when to draw the line between buying things for yourself and having your boyfriend do that for you. These days, its just annoying how 'some' ladies see going into a relationship as a means to make money off a guy. Having a relationship with the opposite sex is like securing a job in the eyes of a Nigerian girl... The guy will be expected to cater to her needs, her parents needs, siblings, even grand parents too. That's why I don't have compassion on them when I read/hear stories of how guys use and dump them.. Always depending on guys for this and that. Buncha lazy greedy bastards |

anumide: the reason women seem spiritually stronger is because men had failed in that duty. Christ is the spiritual head of the Man, the Man is the spiritual covering of the woman. 1 cor 11:3. somewhere in the bible Paul asked women to go home and ask their husbands questions concerning spiritual matters. if the men are less sound than the women, how will they teach their women? Homes were the men are spiritual and sound are beautiful to live in. my mum may wake me up at night to pray; if I like, I can roll back and ignore her. but once it's my Dad, sleep don clear be that. he is not harsh or anything like that, he has just taken his place in spiritual leadership @bolded, that's not spiritual leadership at work, that's the respect and fear you have for your dad... At home if I don't want to be disturbed and my dad called me, I will pretend As if I am sleeping or I didn't hear him but if it was my mom, I will answer. Spirituality doesn't come into play in this situation... I respect my parents but I have this soft spot for my mom so I try to do good by her. |

soonest: As we didn't attend a different school from yours, why should we do your laundry and cook for you. Were you even brighter in school? There's a thread in which I said that when it's exam period in my school, there is this girl that I ALWAYS visit to put me through some things. There are some girls that are way brighter than I academically.. All what I'm trying to say is, don't depend on your man for every little thing you need when you have a source of income. Men hate that, the only men that will love that are those types that later use it to punish you, those men that will like to alienate you from your friends and families. About washing cloths and cooking, I don't know about other guys, but for me, I know how to cook and I am more capable of washing my cloths myself... And there are some women that one can pay to cook for them and laundry's are everywhere now. |
