First, thanks for sharing, this is really informative. But this is assuming you have seen the persons profile or name. In my case , I have ghost members, all attempts to find their identity has failed, so what do I do?

I appreciate your response in advance.

Career / Follow Your Passion And Beat Unemployment Forever. by Passionplus: 3:43pm On Mar 22, 2013
The volume of applications an advertiser receives for a singular position is often staggaring.I have had the priviledge of sitting on interview panels and I feel very disappointed at the quality of man power available in the Nigerian market. Some graduates will apply for every position available even when it is specifically stated that its for OND holders, never realising that the reason they are not getting the jobs is simply because they are not employable.

When I am interviewing, one of my favourite questions is 'what do you like doing when you are not working or studying?' in response to this question, the candidates usually smile, their eyes lit up,they are relaxed and are going to talk about their passion.
From TUface to Tara fela-durotoye we have seen examples of people who have found success and fame by simply turning their passsion to a means of livelihood. They are happy to work, because they Love what they are doing.

Most of the applicants I have successfully placed will leave the job after one month without notice to their employers, when asked why?they will tell you the pay was low,the office was too far, their bosses are too harsh etc and they are seated in front of you waiting to be interviewed for another job.I often wonder why such people think they can be recommended for future employment!
If we can assess ourselves,do what is called a SWOT analysis ,it is possible to find out what we are truly suited for.SWOT is the acronym for- strength, weakness opprtunities and strength,it is a professional tool used by HR consultants to do a job-man -fit.A number of websites offer this service for free.

But forget SWOT,just watch yourself..what tasks can you perform repeatedly with ease?what can you do so well that people always commend you for it?what can you do so well ,even when you are not paid for it,you will not mind simply because you Love doing it and can do it well....that is your passion.
Many of us knew nothing of sort when we choosed courses of study in the university,we are often motivated by our parents and peers to choose courses that are 'professional and Prestigious' .Only after graduation do we realise that we may have made a mistake. Some get good jobs, earn fat salaries and still remain unhappy!others feel trapped in their jobs, yet others have not found any job since graduation.Yet others simply dumped their bogus qualifications and follow their passion. Not only are they more fulfilled, they are happy, doing what they love and making a living out of it.

Are you unemployed? Why are you in this situation? while waiting for the next job to come along, start paying attention to what you love doing.offer that skill in service to someone who needs it for free for a start, see how it makes you feel, then take it further from there.

One of the gratest lessons I have learnt from successful and passion driven people is that, they used their talents to give service and they gradually got recognized for it,success came through referals and repeat orders. Before the money started rolling in.

Do not waste anymore time job hunting or job hopping, settle down and do a thorough soul searching, your success lies in finding out where your passion lies and following it.

Career / Re: Finally I Stopped Seeking For A Job&went To Learn A Handwork. by Passionplus: 2:10pm On Mar 22, 2013
Am proud of you.It is not easy to stop job hunting, most nigerian youths are victims of that.Let me share with you some insights I have learnt in this business which may help you.For starters, when you employ stylists, they are to be your partners, not employees. So they are to pay for the seeats in your shop, for instance i know a salon where the stylists pay the owner 5k weekly, all you have to do is to set up the salon in a good lacation, decaorate it well, have a standard generator and equip the place well. Then employ a cashier where customers pay to for all your services, each stylist will be given an invoice booklet upon accepting your terms,so when a customer comes in he/she will approach them and make their hair and issue the customer an invoice ,the customer pays to the cashier who issues the cisutomer a receipt with the name of the stylist on it,at the end of the week, you take your 5k 0r less depending on the flow of business and pay the stylist the rest, from your 5k you can pay the cashier monthly. The stylists and barbers contribute money to fuel the gen and each will buy their own hair products from your stock.
i know a salon that has been in operation for over 10 yrs and this is how they operate. But to us the customers, everything is smooth sailing.
I hope this helps.
best of luck

Family / Re: See What A Woman Had To Pass Through To Support Her Family. by Passionplus: 4:57pm On Apr 02, 2012
This woman in the picture represents alot of us Nigerians. We take all sorts of risks in the name of survival both the educated and otherwise. There are many reasons that can be adduced for her action, but one thing is sure, this is not her first time of taking such a ride judging from her confident pose, and it is natural for us to become comfortable with risks overtime.Instead of getting sentimental and hauling blames ,this picture calls for intropsection, what risks are we subjecting ourselves to presently that is equally suicidal inspite of our seemingly more eduacted outlook? I will mention a few that comes to mind and we can begin to think seriously and not make judgements at face value,if you are in a job that leaves you unhappy, where you know that the salary is the only reason you wake up early and spend hrs in traffic to get to, you are worse off,if you are in a bad marriage, the same thing,if you eat ,drink and play too much, na you sabi!lack of exercise is suicidal too, for every ounce of salt or cube of sugar you consume you are at risk ,if you drive too fast and/or against traffic, you are risking your life, talk more of driving and texting ,answering a call or driving under the influence. The next time you go to sleep with a grude and/or complain, condemn and criticise, you are cutting your life short, when was the last time you read a book? if it is more than a month ago your brian is 'dulling' gradualling! I can go on and on.But back to the woman in the picture, our present lives is a collection of all the choices we have made and it finds expression in our words, thoughts and actions,if you do not like where you are today, change your words, thoughts and actions,If this woman believes that this is the only way she can survive and she is dedicated to it and she committs her ways to the almighty GOD,she has divine protection inspite of what you might think,Whatever else anyone says is that person's reality and it will neither affect her nor be the TRUTH.My fellow nairalanders! Lets be mindful of our words and not be quick to judge.May the blessings of GOD continue to abide with all of us. smiley

Career / Re: You Should Resign If Your Employer Is Doing Bad Things by Passionplus: 2:21pm On Mar 15, 2012
what he did is commendable and anyone can do it if we are less afraid and trust GOD to provide for us.It is always good to have an exit plan in place when joining any company.Except you are directly in the line of fire(involved in the unethical practices), then you may have to abandon your plan for 'consciense sake'.But if you are not, then follow your plan.Having a plan gives you the freedom to decide how long to work for, for whom and especially makes avery job a stepping stone to becoming what you are meant to be.So you do not neccessarily hold on to it as if your entire life depends on it even when it doesn't.
