Religion / The Fear Of God by pastorjose: 4:42pm On Mar 19, 2011
The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom to them that believes that He exists and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Living in the fear of God means to live in the consciousness of His real existence, supremacy and love. Being aware of His greatness, power, omnipotence, omniscience and His omnipotence. When you live in the fear of God, you respect Him, you keep obedient to His word irregardless of the circumstances around you, you don’t care about what people say because you are conscious of whom the great God His.

When you live in the fear of God and then humble yourself before Him, He will promote you and make you a great star among many stars, the world will see you and call you the brightness of God’s glory, blessed of the Lord, your going out and your coming in will evoke the glory of God, you will never live an ordinary life again, because the same God whom you honor through His fear in you will perfectly honor you.

Consequently, when you fear God, you will eschew all forms of evil works, lying, stealing, smoking, fighting, night clubbing, gambling, exam malpractices, hatred, anger, lust and sexual immorality. If you fear God, you will honor God’s tabernacle which is your body, He says your body is His temple, then any form of pollutant should not dwell in and with you, pollutants like sexy and transparent clothes that reveals your private parts, cigarettes, alcohol, lies, anger, masturbation and killing. If these be in you, can God dwell in you. God is pure and spotless, as a new wine should not be poured into an old bottle, so will God not dwell in your distorted body.

Moreso, if you fear God, His love will be your heart desire, you will hunger and thirst for the fruit of the spirit which are love, peace, joy, humility, perseverance, obedience e.t.c. These will be what your heart will crave all the time, words that doesn’t glorify God will desist from your heart and mouth. You will speak in righteousness, holiness, truthfulness, meekness and love of God. If you don’t exercise the fear of God in your life, He will not do what He has spoken about you. Your life is more important to God than it is to you, His plans for your life cannot be defined by mundane words, I urge you be steadfast in His will and He will do His great work in your life in due time. He loves you, but your i don’t care attitude towards God makes it seem as if He is silent over your issues. Wake up from your self pride and pay homage to God.

Most importantly, if you don’t fear God, you can’t reign with Him in His wonderful kingdom. To truly show that you want to exercise the fear of God in your life, confess these words.
“LORD JESUS, IMPART IN ME THE FEAR OF GOD, REIGN IN MY LIFE AND BE THE LORD OF MY LIFE AND HELP ME TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS BECAUSE I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD AND YOU TOOK MY BURDEN TO THE CROSS AND RISE UP THAT I MAY LIVE AGAIN. THANK YOU JESUS.’’

IF YOU LOVW SOMEONE, YOU WILL. . . ALWAYS BELIEVE IN HIM, ALWAYS EXPECT THE BEST OF HIM. 1COR. 13;7
We rarely discern others accurately, almost every conclusion we have about them is flawed and based on limited knowledge. We give up too soon because we can't sees what God is looking at. Someone close to you right now has a great future. God has already determined it. in fact, if you knew their potential, you would withold your words of criticism and invest more time and energy into them. Remember joseph, Don't make the mistake the brothers made. The person who aggravates the living daylights out of you today, could be the one you will turn to for help tomorrow. So keep that in mind and treat others graciously
Look beneath the surfavce, appearances can bew deceptive. Remember Ruth, the migrant laborer working in the field for less than minimum wage? she will become the wife of Boaz who owns the fields. In the future she might be signing your paycheck . so when you meet her be sure to leave handfuls purpose to bless her see ruth 2;16.
Take another look at the situation you don't understand. Remember Mary nthe mother of Jesus, looking for a place to spend the nightand have her baby? here is the opportunity of a lifetime, don't miss it, why did jesus say in the sermon on the mount. Love your enemies see luke 6;27, Because saul of Tarsus( the one who is giving you much trouble and grief at the moment. Religion / Ressurection Of The Dead by pastorjose: 4:31pm On Oct 29, 2009
The Bible reveals two things about all human beings:

1. All will experience the resurrection of the dead.

2. All will experience eternal judgment.

Jesus said concerning the future resurrection:

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth;

They that have done good unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)

The Apostle Paul also writes about this resurrection:

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

(I Corinthians 15:22)

Because of the original sin of Adam, death came upon all men. Because of the death and resurrection of Jesus, all men will die physically and later be resurrected.

EXCEPTIONS TO THE RESURRECTION

Those who never die will not need to be resurrected from the dead.

Paul wrote:

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality. (I Corinthians 15:51-53)

When Paul says "we shall not ALL sleep" he means all true believers who are alive at the time of Christ's return for His Church.

These believers will never experience death. They will be caught up to meet Jesus and be reunited with Christians resurrected from the grave.

DESTINY OF THE DEAD

There is much about the period between physical death and the resurrection that is not revealed in the Bible, but three things are clear:

1. At the time of death there is a separation between the body and the spirit and soul. The physical body is put in the grave, but the soul and spirit live on in eternity.

2. The spirits and souls of those who were righteous go to a different place than those who were wicked.

3. The destiny of the righteous was different before and after the death of Jesus.

Jesus revealed what happens after death through the story of a beggar named Lazarus who laid at a rich man's gate:

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom; the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torment, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and thou art tormented.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed; so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would come from thence. (Luke 16:22-26)

At death, the physical body returns to the earth:

, for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (Genesis 3:19b)

The soul and spirit of man enters a new existence in eternity. There is still a personality, recognition of one person by another, and awareness of present conditions. The destiny of spirits of the righteous is different from that of spirits of the wicked. Both Lazarus and the rich man went to a place of departed spirits called in the Hebrew language "Sheol" and in the Greek language "Hades". (Most of the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek).

But the destinies of the two men were different. The rich man was in a place of torment called Hell. Lazarus was in a place of rest. Between these two places there was a gulf that could not be crossed from either side.

If the gulf could not be crossed, then it means there is no hope to change the eternal destiny of the soul after death. Because of this, it is of no value to pray for the dead. The decision to accept or reject Jesus as Savior must be made during this life. It is this decision that determines the destiny of your soul.

The place of rest for departed spirits of the righteous was called "Abraham's bosom". This meant it was a place for those who followed the same faith of Abraham by serving the one true and living God.

AFTER THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

The story of Lazarus and the rich man reveals what happened to departed souls before the death and resurrection of Jesus. After His resurrection the destiny of the souls of the wicked remained the same, but the destiny of righteous souls changed.

When Jesus died He said "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit". His body was laid in a tomb but the destiny of His spirit was decided by God. The Bible reveals what happened to the spirit of Christ after death:

Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower part of the earth?

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things. (Ephesians 4:9-10)

Before His death, Jesus told the dying thief who repented:

Today shall thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)

The spirit of Jesus descended into "Sheol", the place of all departed spirits. First He went to the place of the spirits of the righteous. This was called "paradise" or "Abraham's bosom".

From paradise, Jesus went further into the area of "Sheol" reserved for the wicked spirits. This was necessary in order for Him to complete the work of atonement for man's sin. He had to endure both the physical and spiritual penalties of sin. The physical penalty was physical death. The spiritual penalty was separation from God which is called spiritual death. Jesus experienced that in "Sheol".

Then the spirit of Jesus ascended from "Sheol" back to the world. At that time, His body which had been lying lifeless in the tomb, was raised up from death. His soul, spirit, and body were reunited to form a complete personality. As we learned in the last chapter, Jesus appeared in visible form to many on earth before He returned to Heaven.

THE NEW PATTERN

The events between the death and resurrection of Jesus set a new pattern for the destiny of righteous souls. Prior to Christ's resurrection, departed spirits of the righteous went to paradise. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the spirits of the righteous could ascend immediately into the presence of God. This is confirmed in the record of the death of Stephen:

But he [Stephen], being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:55-56,59-60)

Moments before death, Stephen saw a vision of Jesus in Heaven at the right hand of God. His words, "Lord Jesus receive my spirit", indicate he knew that immediately upon death his soul and spirit would go directly to Heaven.

The Apostle Paul also confirms this:

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord,

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (II Corinthians 5:6,cool

Paul compared the value of death to that of remaining alive in order to fulfill his earthly ministry. He said that to be absent from the body is to be with Christ:

For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor; yet what I shall choose I wot not.

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

(Philippians 1:21-24)

In addition to the new destiny of the righteous dead, Jesus set another new pattern that will be followed by all men:

1. At death man's spirit and soul will go to the realm of the departed spirits. The righteous will ascend to the presence of God. The wicked will go to a place of torment [hell].

2. At the time of resurrection, the body will be raised again from death and reunited with the spirit and soul.

RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD: THREE STAGES

The Apostle Paul describes the resurrection of the dead in three stages.

THE FIRST:

The first resurrection of the dead was that of Jesus:

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming.

Then cometh the end, when He [Christ] shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (I Corinthians 15:22-24)

The first resurrection was of Jesus. This is what is meant by the phrase "Christ the firstfruits". There are two other resurrections of the dead which will occur in the future. These are the resurrection of the just and unjust:

And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall

be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. (Acts 24:15)

The Bible also calls these two resurrections the resurrection of life and the resurrection of damnation:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice,

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

(John 5:25,28-29)

THE SECOND:

The resurrection of life will happen when Jesus returns to earth for His Church. This event will resurrect from the dead all true believers in Jesus. This is called the resurrection of the just or the resurrection of life.

The resurrection of Jesus was the first stage,

The resurrection of believers is the second stage,

THE THIRD:

The third stage of the resurrection of the dead is called "the end". This resurrection occurs at the end of Christ's earthly reign of 1000 years of peace. This resurrection is called the resurrection of the unjust or the "resurrection unto damnation".

TO SUMMARIZE:

The following chart summarizes what you have learned about the three stages of the resurrection of the dead:

Resurrection Of The Dead

Stage One: Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

Stage Two: Resurrection Of The Just (Resurrection Of Life)

Stage Three: Resurrection Of The Unjust (Resurrection Of Damnation)

You have already studied the resurrection of Jesus. Now you will study the resurrections of the just and the unjust.

THE RESURRECTION OF THE JUST

Paul said those in the second stage of the resurrection are "they that are Christ's". This means those who have repented from dead works and through faith accepted Jesus as Savior. Paul said that this resurrection of believers will happen at the time of Christ's coming. The main New Testament passage describing this resurrection of life [the just] is found in Thessalonians:

But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The purpose of Paul's teaching is to comfort believers concerning other Christians who have died ["them which are asleep"]. His message provides assurance that all true believers will be resurrected.

When Jesus returns, two great events will occur on earth:

1. All true believers who have previously died will be resurrected, given new bodies, and reunited with their own soul and spirit.

2. All believers alive on earth at that moment will experience a quick change in their physical bodies.

Both those resurrected and those alive at the time of Christ's coming will be raised by God's power from the earth into the air. They will be reunited with the Lord and each other. From that time on, they will forever be with the Lord.

The book of Revelation provides an additional record of the resurrection of the righteous:

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection,

(Revelation 20:4-6)

The resurrection described in this passage is of believers who die as martyrs during the tribulation period. They are raised just before Christ's Kingdom is established on earth. This passage reveals that the resurrection of the just, which is called the first resurrection, is complete after the raising of this last group of believers.

NEW BODIES FOR BELIEVERS

The Bible reveals some things about the new bodies believers will receive. The new body will be:

ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD:

But God giveth it a body, as it hath pleased Him, and to every seed his own body. (I Corinthians 15:38)

A GLORIOUS BODY:

It is sown [dies] in dishonor; it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. (I Corinthians 15:43)

A SPIRITUAL BODY:

It is sown a natural body [physical]; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (I Corinthians 15:44)

A POWERFUL BODY:

It is sown in infirmity and weakness; it is resurrected in strength and endued with power. (I Corinthians 15:43b) The Amplified Bible

AN IMMORTAL BODY:

This means the new body will never age, decay, or die:

, for the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (I Corinthians 15:52-54)

A BODY LIKE THAT OF OUR RISEN LORD:

But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (I Corinthians 15:20)

Jesus arose from the dead first. His resurrection is compared to the first sheaf of a great harvest that will follow. This harvest is the raising of believers in the resurrection. Our resurrected bodies will be like the Lord's:

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him: for we shall see Him as He is. (I John 3:2)

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. (Philippians 3:21)

THE RESURRECTION OF THE UNJUST

The last resurrection is described by Paul in I Corinthians 15:24. He calls it "the end". This is the resurrection of the unjust. When Jesus completes His earthly Millennial reign of 1000 years, God will defeat all His enemies. The last of these enemies to be conquered will be death. This will complete God's plan for the world:

Having made known unto us the mystery [or secret] of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself:

That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth, (Ephesians 1:9-10)

Revelation chapter 20 reveals how the resurrection of the unjust relates to other parts of God's plan. In this chapter, the Apostle John describes Satan's final attempt to take the authority of God. This happens at the end of Christ's Millennial reign:

And when the thousand years are over Satan will be loosed,

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, to gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And they went upon the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of Heaven, and devoured them.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake fire and brimstone, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:7-10)

During the Millennium reign, Jerusalem will be the center of Christ's rule over the nations of earth. Satan will be a prisoner during this time. At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be freed long enough to stage a final rebellion among the Gentile nations. This will result in an attempt to attack Jerusalem. God will intervene with fire from Heaven and the rebellion will be defeated. Satan will be cast into the lake of eternal fire to be tormented forever.

THE END AND ETERNITY

John describes the final resurrection of all the remaining dead:

And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God: and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

TO SUMMARIZE,

All true believers who have died will be raised from the grave before the 1000 Millennium year reign of Christ. This is the first resurrection. It is the resurrection of the just to eternal life. The majority of those resurrected at the close of the Millennium will be the unrighteous dead. This is the resurrection of the unjust to damnation. The Bible tells of another great event which will happen after these resurrections. This event is known as eternal judgment and is the subject of study of the next chapter.

After judgment, the destiny of the unrighteous is the lake of fire which is called in the Bible "the second death". The wicked already experienced physical death. Now they will experience the second death of eternal separation from God. This is spiritual death or the "second death". The destiny of the righteous is eternity in the presence of God.

THE RESURRECTION MESSAGE

The doctrine of the resurrection is a foundational truth of the Christian faith. The message of the Gospel not only includes the life and death of Jesus Christ, but also the message of His resurrection.

The apostles preached both the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of the dead:

, They [Peter and John] taught the people and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. (Acts 4:2)

, He [Paul] preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection, And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. (Acts 17:18,32)

These verses illustrate two different responses of people to the message of the resurrection. Some will not believe it. Others will listen to the message. Our responsibility as believers is to share the resurrection message as part of the Gospel. This is what Paul did:

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also we have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved,

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;

And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures;

And that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve;

After that He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

After that He was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

And last of all He was seen of me also, (I Corinthians 15:1-cool

The preaching of the Gospel is incomplete without the doctrine of the resurrection:

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain,

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

(I Corinthians 15:14,19-22)

Abraham Lincoln once said in his word that ‘He who knows not and knows not that He knows but claims that He knows, shun him he’s a fool. He who knows that he knows not teach him for he is a child. ‘He who knows and does not use what he knows is asleep wake him up’. And He who knows and knows that he knows he is a leader, follow him.
You must learn to realize your ability in life and must not be at stake when you realize your ability. Work hard on your ability to achieve your goals in life. Don’t just pray but work towards your faith in God. Marthin Luther once said that he who prays without working is like a person playing without knowing.
Always be on the move with a consistent and a persistent spirit in order not to succumb to the delays of life which are the obstacles you atime face in life.

3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.

hello, that the father, the son and the holy spirit are three aspects or manifestation of God is totally wrong then the Bible i. e the word of God itself is a mass of error and confussion. Illustration. As it was written after the mission of christ on earth that he was seen ascended into the right hand side of the father, would the same God descend down in the form of the Flesh to save man, lead Himself by himself, and then ressurect by himself and then seen raised up above the earth and seen sitted at the right hand side of himself? reason over this. It then also means He has also come down as the holy spirit as He once promised that He would send a Comforter. I have explained this above before. It is termed as sabellianisam from bishop sabellious.

The truth is the acceptance of jesus as your lord and saviour. phill 2:9. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father and living up to the standard of God's will for your life. i. unveiling the fruit of the spirit in your life Gal 2:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. 2timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
We are in the end of the world and what The prophets and Jesus Himself has foretold through his disciples have started happening. Many have started drifting away from the truth which they once received. How shall it be for such souls that once know the truth but are now the enemies of the truth just because they want to pleased the world. The world and the lust in it would soon vanish away but the word and the promises of God must be fulfilled. the reward awaiting the persistent ones in the faith will last forever but the reward of this earth would soon go away. why don't you fight for a reward which can never be destroyed by the destroyer. It's a dangerous thing to depart from the truth which you have already accepted i. e the gospel of truth centered in Jesus. By desisting from the truth it means you don't care about what God can do. Freewill has been bestowed to man from the beginning of the world. God has given man the capacity to make a decision of his but still made know to man the required ethics of living a moral and spiritual life. Adam and eve was given the freewill to make a decision of theirs. Their wrong decision resulted in their been expelled  from the garden of Eden. The truth is that freewill is a delusion,it is not a reality for if it be then there should be no such as the judgment of God. But God has already declared and does not deny the fact that He is the creator of both light and darkness. He said in His word. Though i am the creator of both light and darkness, good and bad, but i urge you to walk in the light for the reward of working in darkness is destruction. It is your decision on earth that would be used to determine where u shall be on the last day. God does not forces anybody to serve Him but He still demand it.
FREEWILL IS NOT A REALITY, IT IS DELUSIONAL BECAUSE IT ONLY ENDS IN THIS EARTH. NO FREEWILL IN HEAVEN.
Religion / The Trinity Of God by pastorjose: 5:27pm On Oct 14, 2009
THE DOCTRINE STATED
The scriptures teach that God is one, and that beside Him there is no God. The question might arise, how could God have any fellowship before finite creatures came into existence? The answer is that the divine unity is a compound unity, and that in this unity, there are really three distinct persons, every one of whom is the Godhead, and yet is supremely conscious of the other two, so we see that there was an eternal fellowship7 before any finite creatures were created, therefore, God was never alone.
Not that there are three Gods, all of whom are independent and self existing. The three co-operate with one mind and purpose, so that in the truest sense of the word they are one. The father creates, the son redeems, and the Holy Ghost sanctifies and yet in each operation the three are present. is pre-eminently the creator, yet the son and the spirit are described as co-operating in that work. The son is pre-eminently the redeemer, yet God the father and the holy Ghost are described as sending the son to redeem. The Holy Spirit is the sanctifier and yet the Father and the son co-operate in that work.
The trinity is an eternal fellowship, but the work of man’s redemption called forth its historical manifestation. The son entered the world in a new way when he took to himself human nature and he was given a new name, Jesus. The Holy Spirit entered the world in a new way that is as the spirit of Christ and yet the three worked together. The father testified of the son matt. 3; 17 and the son testified of the father john 5; 19. The son testified of the spirit john 14; 26 and later the spirit testified of the son. John 16; 26
Does all this seem difficult of understanding? How could it be otherwise, since we are attempting to describe the inner life of the almighty God? The doctrine of the trinity is clearly a revealed doctrine and not one conceived by the human reason. How else could we learn of the inner nature of the Godhead except by revelation? 1cor. 2;16. it is true that the word trinity does not appear in the new testament. it is a theological expression invented during the second century to described the Godhead. But the planet Jupiter existed before it was so named, and then doctrine of the trinity was in the bible before it was technically named the trinity.
THE DFOCTRINE DEFINED.
We can quite understand why the doctrine of the trinity was sometimes misunderstood and misstated. It was very difficult to find human terms in describing the unity of Godhead and at the same time the reality and the distinction of persons. In laying stress upon the reality of Christ’s deity and the personality of the Holy Spirit some writers seemed to be in danger of falling into Tritheism or belief in three Gods. Other writers laying stress on the unity of God seemed in danger of forgetting the distinction of persons. The last error is commonly known as sabellianism from bishop sabellous who taught that the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit are three aspects or manifestation of God This error has appeared many times in the history of the church and is current today.
The doctrine is clearly unscriptural and is excluded by the sharp distinctions drawn in scripture between the father, son and the spirit. The father loves and sends the son, the son leaves and returns to the father. The father and the son sends the spirit, the spirit intercedes with the father, If then the father son and the spirit are three aspects or manifestation of God, then the new testament is a mass of confusion. For example, a reading of the intercessory prayer in john 17 with the thought that the father , the son and the spirit are one person, will reveal the absurdity of the doctrine. ‘’as I have given myself power over all flesh, that I should give eternal life to as many as I have given myself… I have glorified myself on the earth; I have finished the work which I gave myself to do. And now I glorify myself with my own self with the glory which I had with me before the world was.
How was the doctrine of the trinity preserved from becoming overbalanced either on the side of unity ( sabellianism) or on the other side of tri-unity( Tritheism) By the formulation of dogmas, that is interpretations which define the doctrine and fence it against error. the following example of dogma is found in the athanasian creed, formulated during the fifth century.,
We worship one God in trinity, and trinity in unity. Neither confounding the persons, for the person of the father is one, and the son another and the spirit another, but of the father and the son and the spirit, there is one divinity, equal glory and equal co-majesty. What the father is the same is the son and the holy ghost. The father is uncreated, the son is uncreated, and the Holy Ghost is uncreated. the father is immense, the son is also immense and the spirit is immense. The father is eternal, the son is eternal and the spirit is eternal and yet there are not three eternals but one eternal, so there are not three beings( uncreated) but one uncreated and one immense. inline manner the father is omnipotent, the son also is and the holy ghost is. and yet there are not three omnipotence. Thus the father is God, the son is God and the spirit is God and yet there are not three Gods but one God. Thus the father is lord, the son is lord and the spirit is lord and yet there are not three lords. Because we are c se we are compelled by Christian verity to confess each persons severally to be God and lord.Thwe father was from none ,neither made nor created. The son is from the father, neither made nor created but begotten. The Holy Ghost was from the father and the son, neither created, nor made, nor begotten but was proceeding. Therefore there is one father, one son and one Holy Ghost and not three.
And in this trinity there is nothing first or last, nothing greater or less, but all the three coeternal persons are coequal among themselves, so that through all, as is above said, both unity in trinity and trinity in unity is to be worshipped.
THE DCTRINE PROVEN.
Inasmuch as the doctrine of the trinity concerns the inner nature of the trinity, it could not be known except by revelation and this revelation is found in the scripture.
The old testament proven;
Each member of the trinity is mentioned in the Old Testament; 1. Father. Isa. 63;16 malachi 2;10, 2. the son of Jehovah. Psalm 45;6, 2;6, 7, 12 prov. 30;4 the messiah is described with divine titles jer. 23;5, 6 isa. 9;6. Holy spirit gen.1;l2, isa 11;2,3;4816;61;1;63;10
The new testament.
So the early Christians was confronted with two facts, that God is one, and that the father is God, the son is God and the spirit is God. And this two great facts concerning God constitute the doctrine of the trinity. God the father was a reality to them, the son was a reality to them and the spirit was reality to them. And the only conclusion that could be reached from this facts that in the God head there was a real but mysterious distinction of personality, which distinction became manifested in the divine work for man’s redemption. Several new testament passages mention the three divine persons. See matt. 3; 16,17; 28:19 john 14:16 , 17, 26; 15:26, 2cor. 13:14, gal. 4:6
THE DOCTYRINE ILLUSTRATED
How can three persons be one God? Is a question which puzzles many people? We do not wonder at their perplexity, for in considering the inner nature of the eternal God we are dealing with a form of existence much different from our own.
Illustrations may be drawn from Nature, human personality, and human relations.
NATURE;
Nature furnishes many analogies. 1. water is one and yet it is known in three forms, water, ice and steam. 2. there is one electricity and yet I a street car it works as ,motion, light and heat. 3. It has been pointed out that every beam of light has three rays. First the actinic which as invisible second, the luminiferous, which is visible and thirdly the calorific, which gives heat and is felt but invisible. Where these three are there is light, where we have these three there is light. God is light, God the father is invisible, He became visible in His son and He his operative in the world through the Holy Ghost who is invisible yet effective. 4. Three candles in a room will give but one light. 5. a triangle has three sides and three angles, take away one side, it is no longer a triangle, where there are three angles, there is one triangle.
HUMAN PERSONALITY;
God said let us make man in our own image after our likeness. Man is one yet tripartite, consisting of the spirit, soul and body. 2. Human consciousness points to divisions in personality, have we not at times become conscious of reasoning with ourselves and of ourselves listening to our conversations? I talk to myself, and I listen to myself talking to myself.
RELATIONS;
God is love. he was eternally a lover, but love requires an object of love, and being eternal, He must have had an eternal object of love, namely His son. The eternal bond and the out flowing of that love is the Holy Spirit, 2. Our Government is one, yet it has three branches; legislative, judicial and executive.
I believe with this teachings you have come to understand more about the God we serve, and I am sure that I have nullify doubts in you but to let you know that the father, the son and the holy spirit is one God in trinity and trinity in unity
Religion / Discover Your Purpose In Life by pastorjose: 1:09pm On Oct 12, 2009
So many are living on this planet earth without knowing their main purpose why they are on this earth, so many people believe that this world is all about sleeping, waking up, going to work and then making friends of their choice. Rationally and naturally this ideas of living life are also normal for a person. Here is the question, what is your main purpose on this planet -Erath? Why are you living?
There is something of which an individual must know about himself. Our purposes of living are wholly and totally based on fulfilling the plans of God for our life, now here is the second question. What is God’s purpose and plan of God for my life?
The plans and purpose of God for each person on earth could be different, He might want you to become an engineer on earth for the betterment of the world, He could want you to become a Doctor for the safeness of the masses. He might want you to become a Pastor in order to represent Him on earth. Whatever it is that God has planned for a man to be on earth is for the fulfilling of the glory of God in your life for He said in His word in Isaiah 40; 5 and the glory of the lord shall be revealed in you, and all flesh shall see it together for the mouth of the lord has spoken it. This will happen to you if only you are doing the right thing of which you are expected to do. So many have become fruitless in what they do because what they are up to is not the real plan of God for their life.
Most especially, the greatest plan and expectation of God for every soul on this earth is to serve God in truth and in spirit, to praise Him for He harvest your praise like you reap your crops in the farmland, If you would not give Him the praise, what then did you expect Him to feed on, it means you really hate him and by hating God you also hate your life.
Discover who you are today and stop taking the steps of your friends which might be the wrong step. If you know your main purpose then you will know the next step to take in life and your time would not be a waste. Now that you are still young discover your purposes before your old age, for so many are practicing what they are supposed to have done in their youthful age at the dark of their age.
Life Example
Right from my Secondary School life I have Come to discover my purpose in God, And since I have know it, I am now fully in it because I am not ignorant of my person. Don’t be ignorant of your reality, know it and work on it.

respects should be given to whom respect is due to, Nigerian leaders deserve respect which God Himself has proclaimed should be given to them. though God might have sent them on errand but this has to be done with wisdom, If they might have done it with wisdom i think they would not have been arrested. God would only send His representative for corrective purpose but judgement of everyone is in his hand. I think we Nigerian pastors should notify this.

Religion / Cause And Effect by pastorjose: 5:47pm On Oct 11, 2009
A cause is a person or thing that makes something happens or exist. An effect is the product of a cause. For there to be an effect there must be a cause and when a cause is at work an effect emerges. If the earth be an effect, it must then have a cause. If the visible and the invisible things in the earth are all effects that emerges, where and who emerges them? Automatically, it must have a cause, the waters, sky, mountains, thunders, breeze, powers in the earth and in the air, who is their ultimate cause, if there are principles of natures, who is the originator of them? If artificial effects such as men’s artful works like cars, cars, mobile phones, houses does not just emerges but have a designer, then every natural effects must have a supernatural cause.
There is no other supernatural and super- imminent CAUSE but God. He is the designer of the skies, the sun, the moon, and the whole planetary bodies and every other visible and invisible skillful works.
Now that you have come to know the reality that God is the creator of all things and there is no such thing that just happen. You as a person do not just happen God is your maker, Is there any problem in your body? Seek his help today and He will heal you, is your parts disabled? Believe in Him He will restore it. God wants you to acknowledge yourself as His creature who He will never forget.

Religion / The Aim Of Science by pastorjose: 3:53pm On Oct 08, 2009
The aim of science is to investigate matter and energy. To discover their properties and behaviour pattern. If a particular thing is neither matter nor energy, then it cannot be investigated in a laboratory. For example, love is a fact of life, but since it is neither matter nor energy it cannot be investigated by science. There is no gadget to measure the mass, length, breadth, or temperature of love.

The aim of science is not to investigate all reality, but rather to investigate those realities that are seen in the form of matter and energy. The investigation takes place with the help of repeated experiments. All negations and affirmations depend upon experimental observations, and nothing can be established without relevant experiments.

Physics investigates the physical properties of matter and energy. Chemistry, biology, astronomy, and the various scientific disciplines known to us investigate the physical behaviour of things pertaining to their respective fields.

LIMITS OF SCIENCE

Science is a tool, a methodology, developed to study matter and energy. It, therefore, is able to investigate truths only in this region. If there is any truth in the world besides matter,

science is not able to investigate it. One should not be surprised at this.

Science was developed to study and investigate only nature, and therefore it cannot be used for other things. For example, science cannot pronounce any opinion about the existence of king Ashoka. A historical person or incident cannot be brought into the laboratory for experimental investigation. The maximum that science can do is to provide tools to study the material objects discovered by archaeologists. But conclusions of history depend upon techniques of historical investigations, not on techniques of natural sciences.

In the same way, truths about people and their relationships cannot be investigated by science. No equipment can measure love, hatred, or fear. These are realities, but since they are neither matter nor energy they are beyond the scope of science. Love is not a property of matter, nor is anything else connected with human relationship.

Science can investigate matter and energy, but nothing more. Historical realities are studied with methods of historical investigations, while truths related to individuals can be investigated only by methods of relational verification. One has to enter into a personal relationship with a person to verify truths that are relational in nature.

HAVE SCIENCES DISPROVED GOD

It should be clear by now that the purpose of science is to study matter and energy, and nothing beyond that. Even if someone tries to broaden its boundaries, that is not possible. All affirmations and negations have to be established only on the basis of repetitive experimental observations.

God is neither matter nor energy. Therefore the methods of experimental sciences cannot be applied to disprove His existence. Nobody in the world has devised an experiment that can disprove God.

If anyone claims that sciences have disproved the existence of God, he must be asked to defend his position. He has to explain the experiment, the place where this was performed and the place where the results were published. Anyone can make any claims saying that science has demonstrated this or that fact, but then he should be able to support his claims by pointing to relevant experiments.

No one claiming that science has disproved God has ever come up with experimental evidence to support this claim. This is because they are using the name of science to intimidate the ignorant. There is no truth in their claims, but they will continue repeating this false claim as long as they can successfully disturb people.

If anyone claims that science has disproved God, he has to describe the experiment that finally disproved God. Discussing anything else is irrelevant to the argument.

HAS EVOLUTION DISPROVED GOD

On talking of science and experiments, some might think that the theory of evolution has disproved God. This is false.

First of all, The Theory Of Evolution is only a theory. It is a mere hypothesis or supposition. It is not a law of science, nor is it a fact of science. If it were a law, they would have called it the LAW of evolution. But the scientific community itself accepts that it is the THEORY of evolution.

The theory of evolution needs first to establish itself, and then only it can question the existence of God — if it has any bearing on the subject. Till then you need to remember only this much: a hypothesis or supposition is not a fact of science.

If anyone claims that sciences have disproved God, he has to demonstrate that experiment which has achieved this feat. Appeal to evolution, which is a mere theory, will not do the job.
Religion / Re: Who Created The Creator by pastorjose: 3:39pm On Oct 08, 2009
wow, this is an atheistic question, there is no other truth to hear than the fact that God who is the source and cause of all effects, the originator of all the discorvered and the undiscovered principles by which the world operates and the superb creator of man has no first cause or source. He is the ultimate first cause of all effects.

It is true that man created gods with his own hand, but this are just mere objects ascribed with some evil forces and powers whereas some are just mere objects. GOD is a mysterous one, no one can comprehend Him but he has given us the grace to apprehend him.
Religion / Remember God In Your Youthful Age by pastorjose: 3:23pm On Oct 05, 2009
Read this;
Ecclesiastes 12
1 Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore. ” 2 Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. 3 Remember him before your legs—the guards of your house—start to tremble; and before your shoulders—the strong men—stoop. Remember him before your teeth—your few remaining servants—stop grinding; and before your eyes—the women looking through the windows—see dimly.

4 Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.

5 Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.

6 Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. 7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Now that you are still young is the best time for you to serve God with every material and non-material efforts of yours, spend your youthful life to the glory of God, for in it there is strenght for you to make every good work for your resting place in Heaven. Has it always been your decision to squander and sumpteously use your youthful life and then turn back to God at your old age? worshippinhg Him at the dark of your age? It could be too late and might not be accepted by your creator-God. Read this eccl. 11 vs 9.

9 Young people,[d] it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.

Have you always been engaged oin a furnicative and seducive lifestyle, telling yourself that you could furnicate with as many opposite sex as you wish and then put an end to it after marriage? Or have been saying that you can have romance without sex? It's wrong to practice it, by so doing you try to prevbent the presence and the glory of God in your life. read this. 1cor. 3 vs 16-17: don't you realize that all of you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God lives in you? 7. God will destroy anyone who destroy this temple for God's temple is holy and you are that temple.

matt. 5 vs 27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery. ’[k] 28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Flee youthful lust, submit your life to God now that you are still young, worship Him in truth and in spirtit, then your reward will be superb and uncomprehendable by the human mind.
PRAYER OF COMMITTMENT.
God, give ne the passion and the spirit to serve you with my youthful life, to eschew furnication from my daily activities that your glory may be revealed in my life.

If you would turn away from the truth because of any pastor it really means you do not have the love of God in you and you also hate your soul for when the judgement comes upon you what will be your excuse. the pastor is not enough excuse to escape the righteous judgement of God.
Religion / Getting Resources From Your Source by pastorjose: 1:01pm On Oct 03, 2009
This is a very important fact to consider before a person can become successful. If your source would not producer you your resources, there is no tendency of attaining a standardized success. Your source could be personal or impersonal.
Being personal, it means it could be your parents, friends, relatives, mentors, leaders or any other rightful source.
Being impersonal, it means it could be your wisdom and knowledge. Impersonally, resources such as information and ideas gotten from wisdom and knowledge on how to progress and succeed is vital, information on how to build up the business, to shape things in order or chronologically with the necessary materials or persons needed is also part of the resources.
This material and non-material resources gotten from a source such as:
Persons
wisdom and
knowledge are imminently need to achieve a standing goal in life.

THE ULTIMATE SOURCE OF ALL RESOURCES
There are countless of resources which could not be produced by a mere source, the seas, the land ,the breeze, man beast, mountains and both other visible and invisible resources, all have an intelligent source. God is the ultimate source of all these.
The best place to get reproductive and recreative resources is from God. a man cannot be perfectly successful in life if he doesn't get the right resource from the ultimate source. God is the source of man's life and He is ever ready to produce and give to man the required resources needed to excel, to recreate and to accomplish his aim in life.
Sop many had always end in regret because their resources exploited toward achieving their aims and their egos in life is not from God. Get your resources from God now so that you would not end up in an imminent mishap. psalm 37 vs 4-6.
Example of a great man that got the resources from the rightful resource(God).
SOLOMON: He was a great king who sought God for the resources he needed in life, read this:1king 3; 5-12
5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you."

6 Solomon answered, "You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.

7 "Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. 8 Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"

10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.
Always seek God's consent in everything you do in life, He will give you the right resources and directions on how tom use it.
Religion / Thrive Nigeria With The Word Of God by pastorjose: 3:42pm On Oct 01, 2009
Nigeria is a great nation built by God through His word, He has made it well and also proclaimed that ‘’it was good’’gen. 1vs 10. God has positively imparted Nigeria with the word of life and truth, listen to his word, all the word of my mouth are in righteousness, and there is nothing froward or perverse in them. Proverb 8 vs. 8.
God has created by His word and given man the authority and wisdom to recreate and replenish with the available resources He has made. Let’s reason together, how have we always made use of these resources, are we using them rightly or wrongly. The growth of the country is in our care, God has given us the power and the word to use for the accomplishment and the progress of every good work in the country.
Most importantly, how do we make use of our words? Have you forgotten that the word WORD, is not empty. It has a source and has power to build up and to destroy, it has the capability of destabilizing and recreating a nation, it can excel a family, State and family and can also demolish it.
Remember, our country was built by the word of God, His word is authoritative, and we inherited the authoritative and inflective word from God.
How do we use it in our country (Nigeria?)

Are we really speaking positively of Nigeria?

Do we always abuse Nigeria with our word?

Have we ever blessed her with the words of our mouth?

How much do we lay course on her?

How much do we insult the Glory of God there in?

How good do we dwell pleasantly with our daily words?

Come on, let’s positively influence and thrive Nigeria with the creative word of God in us. King Solomon said in proverb 8 vs. 7, for my mouth shall speak truth and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
Word is powerful, combat your negative thoughts and word for the building up and progress of our country (Nigeria).
