YemiWrites1:The rule: DO NOT take medications until a test is conducted. e.g If your eye disorder is refractive (cornea asphericity or abnormal lens diopteric power) NO AMOUNT of drugs will correct it. If you wish take a bucket load of geinseng, it will NOT correct a refractive error. If the eye problem is systemic, due to an underlining eye disease or other ailments, trauma, etc, NO AMOUNT of changing glasses can solve it. You MUST treat the underlining condition. No drug can treat Cataract. Once it has started, it must be removed via surgery when it is mature. You can only slow down it's progression using anti-oxidants. It will, however, eventually get mature and need surgical removal. |
YemiWrites1:FALSE! wearing glasses does not cause cataract. Please stop promoting medications that have no bearing with eye health |
adeoyeyemi:Kings eye care & Hospital Biomedical Technologies should be the nearest to you. It's nevertheless more difficult than you think to take decisions like this on your behalf. Why do I say so you may ask? As a practitioner, I usually ask qstns such as where you have been visiting before now, your case history..i.e to get an idea of your previous eye condition, how far has it been managed well? what medications have you been on? why do you think you have to change your glasses now? because sometimes, the glasses might not be the problem. Some deteriorating sight threatening conditions such as glaucoma could be damaging internal eye organs, making vision worse, while the patient keeps blaming the glasses. So please mind the clinics you visit. Make sure you are seeing a qualified professional. It's might not just be the glasses. Ensure you do a comprehensive test |
