The only season they missed top 4 was under Mourinho
What was their position before Mou took over and what position did they finish the season?

This season, were they not positioned better than they was when Poch was sacked?

Did I?
I asked you in response to your mou statement, why the outburst?
Which one be outburst?

You said Mou didn't improve Spurs, I have countered your argument after you quoted me and for context I brought in Ole who was part of the attached statement I replied to just in any case you want to use Poch peak performance at Spurs and you're talking about outburst...If you've been boxed, just admit and stop throwing words around.

They have better squads. Remeber that Under-18 and Under-23 is not about titles but about player development, hence there is no 1st team. Hence whenever rotation takes place they maintain their quality while ours drops. In particular we have very few good defenders in our entire youth set up.

For the Under-23s in terms of attacking quality for instance our best players are about the same level as City's players but once you go past our best 2-3 players they have the edge. Also their players are a bit older and more seasoned than ours. Our Under-23 defense has been a joke.

For the Under-18s our players are about as good as theirs IMO. Our recruitment for this under-18 was really good.
Thanks.

Manchester City about to win the Premier League title, Premier League 2 (Under-23) title as the Under-18 Premier League North title. O wrong nau!!!

Only our under-18s can stop them but that is not looking likely.
Doc, do they have better players in their academy? Are we slightly overrating our academy players compared to theirs? Sancho and Foden tops our recent products...

Liverpool and Spurs are still in with a chance to make the UCL...The battle for 3rd and 4th will be interesting.

It's even tighter in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Dortmund battling for 3rd and 4th...Dortmund have to beat Leipzig today.

In Italy, the battle is for 2nd, 3rd and 4th position. Juventus vs Milan tomorrow will be war...

In France, Lille need to win their two remaining games to be crowned Champions and they're winnable games. I thought they'd drop points yesterday but the made light work of Lens. Mbappe's hopes for the Balon d'or rest on his performance at the Euros.

In Spain, Atletico, Madrid and Barcelona battle it out for LA Liga with Sevilla 6 pts off the pace...Barcelona vs Atletico will be a cracker.

I don't hate mount, he doesn't have any talent and people are making him a club icon, imagine people calling for him to be made captain of the team

every team has a top player, mount can't be Chelsea's top player, he doesn't have the talent to be lifted to that level, that's my issue

Most players or coaches only talk about him being hardworking, no honest person will say that mount has exceptional talent or he is phenomenal, talent is natural and he doesn't have it, the guy doesn't even have football sense, he just runs around

Why are people hailing him as if he is messi or Ronaldo, no potential, no talent, no skill, just taking advantage of sentimental Chelsea fans looking for someone to celebrate

Among his peers mount is mediocre

Take him away from free kicks and corner kicks duties, what are his productive outputs?
Was Roy Keane the most talented player in that Manchester United team he captained? Mentality and hard work makes up for other attributes. Mount might not be the most skillful or most talented but he definitely has very fine technique...

The attached pick that I first quoted talked about improvement. The best metric to judge improvement is trophies won and league position.

Maybe he is being misunderstood though. He is probably talking about the fact that if he fields weakened teams against Leicester and Liverpool, Chelshit and West Ham might not like it.

He should get on with the job. If he had not soldered Telles, Williams, Bailly and co to the bench for long periods they would not be so rusty.
When I see how well Iheanacho has done, I realize that some of those players glued to the bench for whatever reason are actually good enough...If Barnes, Maddison and others weren't injured, Iheanacho would still be looked at as simply not good enough.

What Happened this season?
Answer simple question, where was Spurs when Poch left? What position were they when Mou left? Didn't Mourinho improve their league position? Or you want to bring in the league position in other seasons before Pochetino's last season? If so, how has Ole improved Manchester United when Mourinho finish second with 81 pts whilst here and won the Caraboa cup and UEL? Has Ole improved on the 2nd place finish whilst surpassing the 81pts? Has he won the trophies Mou won with us?

This one is straight forward na!

They’ve got players with similar style or play and quality level. The difference in quality between D. Gray, Tirlemans, Barnes, Maddison, etc isn’t much, it is their form that tells how hot they are at a moment.

So if Barnes wasn’t injured, they won’t really miss him if he wasn’t in form.
Is Gray still at Leicester? Tielemans is a CM whilst Maddison is an AM who has had an injury disrupted season.

Barnes on the other hand is a left winger who drove their attack with his fearless approach...

If not for injuries, Iheanacho wouldn't have had this extended run in the team.

In all my years of being on this forum, I've never seen any member/human that hates his football club/player like you do. It's hard to believe you stan Chelshit.

At United thread, David de Gae has come for so much flak in recent times and got demoted by Ole. But yesterday after his heroics, both his supporters and critics praised him on United thread. We didn't care about whatever fûckups he must have had as we were all grateful that he saved us last night.

But you...

Mount scores.... You hate.
Mount assists.... You are bitter.
Mount creates chances... You dismiss it.
Mount defends to help the team... You are sad.
Mount tackles cleanly.... You demand for his sale.
Mount intercept pass... You are enveloped with sadness.
Now Mount defends your team against Kroos that dissed your team... You're filled with bile.

I've never seen this sort of hatred from a fan against his club/player. Good Lord!! You need to purge of yourself of this hatred before it spirals offline into your friends who are innocent. Tueh!!
The guy is probably a kid because he behaves very childish...I would've understood if Mount was playing poorly but no, the lad is playing very well and stands up to be counted in the biggest of stages yet all he gets from the guy is hate...Funny enough, Mount and Havertz are team mates and prolly getting along well but it's Nairaland, someone has got to play that senseless role.

Only Benzema in that Madrid attack is anywhere good enough. Their midfield us Old and they didnt have thier full Back four over the 2 legs. They wont have such luxury versus City. City will match them energy for energy, and city defence is very solid.

My prediction. CITY 1-0 Chelsea ( Mahrez 65mins).
You even add time join... grin

One weapon Chelsea has is Werner whose pace means City must drop back lest he punishes them. Don't expect City to come out all firing, they too will be cautious as it is a one off game, one goal and you're forced to open up chasing the game making yourself susceptible to counters...Chelsea have enough players who are confident on the ball and their passing has improved under Tuchel so, I expect them to beat the City press a couple of times to launch an attack of their own. It might just be a boring final after all...

My money is on Chelsea...

The emboldened is a big lie and ask me why? Records have shown that Ole wouldnt have been sacked had he being he was a Chelsea coach, based on his man United performances. Chelsea and real Madrid have never sacked a manager with the known history of Ole's performances at man united. Ole,despite his lack of trophies is able to put in some convincing performances against the top teams in the league, that alone guarantee him his job at both Chelsea and real Madrid. Show me any Madrid coach that tamed Barcelona,Atletico madrid,Valencia or any top side in their league and got sacked even without trophies?show me any Chelsea manager that was able to record impressive win and performances against man United, liverpool, man city and still got sacked despite not winning any trophy? Go and check all the managers sacked by both Chelsea and real Madrid all this years and see if any of their performances against the top side was anything to come by before they got sacked and I will agree with your point. Was is it not when Mourinho lost to liverpool at Anfield that man united sacked him? Pray, tell ole should not deliver in those games were the stakes are high and you will see man united sacking him right away but for now he is doing everything that would have kept him at Chelsea, real Madrid and any other top club. We dont just sack coaches irrationally like how most of you opined here .

We signed Fellaini around the same time we signed Mata. There is no rhyme or reason to our lives bro. When have we ever been accused of doing our home work?

This is not an excuse for Amaka but this narrative that VDB was this midfield maestro at Ajax should slow down. He was averaging 25 passes per game when the real maestro De Jong was averaging 75 passes.
Averaging 25 passes in a possession based midfield that was facing shoemakers and other semi-pros in the Dutch league is almost criminal.

Then the 2nd narrative that because he was so good there (questionable) he has to be good here is also wrong. There are 1001 examples to show that it is not automatic.

With the way VDB plays the only position he can slot into easily is the AM position, but this has been colonised by Bruno. You can’t play CM in the EPL and just be ghosting into the box and not contribute to passing in midfield.

In order to play central midfield here he has to adjust his game a little. Reduce the ghosting into box and contribute more to real midfield play.
We see his flaws every match day, is it that the coaches are not talking to him or he is adamant he won't tweak his game because the thing tire me.

Many of you guys overrated or overhyped VDB. He is a good player but not the level of player some of you think he is.

I remember when I was debating with Kagawa a couple of years ago and raised concerns about his passing. How can you be playing in a dominant possession based midfield and you are passing the ball 25 times and your partner is passing the ball 75 times. The 2nd guy is a controller while the first guy is just a football hyena.

Some players are highly dependent on systems but it might not be obvious at the start. That is why not everybody in the Porto team of 2004 was that good even though most of them got good moves. Same with that Ajax team. Even Z-yansh looked way better in Ajax, and that system carried a borderline Premier League flop like Tadic into the UEFA Squad of the season and Ballon D’Or list.
The guys that made the decision to sign him have access to all the technical information to evaluate his style vis a vis what Ole wants in his team, it's either they didn't do their home work or thought he was good enough to fit into the team to have splashed the cash...If I am not mistaken, he cost over £35m that's not small money to throw around.

Arteta has his name written in the managerial history books because when ever those trophies are mentioned, his name will be mentioned.

Lampard finished in the top 4 in a season Chelsea lost their star player and was banned from signing players...He also reached the FA Cup final. This season, his team made it past the UCL group stage and were only struggling in the league for which he was sacked. Would he have turned things around? Nobody knows.

Ole? We couldn't guide us past the group stage, lost the FA Cup quarter final to Leicester after shockingly leaving our star players on the bench. The only area he has manged some consistency is the EPL...If Ole was coach at Chelsea, he'd have been sacked for that UCL slump alone.

It's only Arsenal that would've stuck with Ole because they themselves are lovers of mediocrity...

We are talking about ole's United now, so the bolded doesn't consign this discuss.
Back to Donny, it is obvious that he doesn't fit the system United plays ( if you agree we have a system though), it is left for him to adapt like walker, aguero etc adapted under pep, he has less than 1 season here so time is still on his side.

You mentioned good coaching like ole hasn't had impact on some players in United?
I can only point to Shaw and maybe Lindelof, which other player has improved under Ole? You can even argue that of Shaw as he has always been good but struggled for fitness.

I never said we don't have quality, for the Mcfred position, pogba always holds on to the ball too much and gets easily dispossessed in that position putting us under pressure.
Matic has become too slow, except we play a low block, but on a high line, imagine there is a counter and you have him, Maguire and lindelof as the repairing unit of defense(I can't even imagine that).
VDB in there always seems to be on the move, hardly holds on to the ball, last time he played there he offered little to nothing defensively.
I don't like the Mcfred combo, but none of them can be the standing DM alone with another pogba-VDB like midfielder.

For telles, he defensive lapses has always been there, even before he was brought this was complained about.

Ole doesn't seem like he is willing to take risks (you and I know why), but at least this bench players have seen his style of management, they should take any opportunity that presents itself!!!!
Henderson for all the shouts, took his chances when they came.

What does VDB really offer to this team?
I watched Walker at Tottenham and now at City, you'd agree his brainfarts moments has reduced or isn't on show again because Pep took time to coach him. When he first joined, I remember Pep saying he relies more on his Pace than brain and as time past, Walker is now more composed and less hurried on the ball, that's more to do with good coaching.

Aguero had to tweak his game to fit in at some point due to the demands of Pep.

Mahrez just didn't take his chance, his all round play has improved and that's down to good coaching. Even KDB's game has evolved, he can now play as a CM and even dovetail as a false 9 as against CAM he was vested in before now...

I look at VDB and I am surprised that a player who played as a CM several times at Ajax seems completely lost at United. Those runs he is making, he made them at Ajax to the delight of most football fans so, why are things looking different here? It's not like he was a ball hog at Ajax, he played just the same way and he looked good. So many top players have come here and struggle and it's not like our football is anything as complex as what City plays so it really bothers me...

I am very sure with mcfred on that pitch those Roma players won't have thought of running riot like they did, Mcfred dey very important oh.
McFred have played together often times so you expect the chemistry to be there. How often does Ole line up like he did yesterday? Do you expect the team to pick up and play at the same level we are used to when bench warmers that seldom start or get enough minutes play?

Watch City games and you'd see that Pep endeavors to rotate to keep his options on the bench sharp. Jesus, Sterling, Rodri, Mendy etc are not super humans, if he doesn't play them for 4-5 games, they'll lose steam this he endeavors to give them enough minutes. The only players who are sure of their place is KDB (Those who play FPL will argue that Pep cannot be trusted with his starting 11), Ederson, Gundogan, Diaz and Mahrez...The other roles sees heavy rotation...It's almost the same at Chelsea...

You can't say we don't have quality on the bench, Telles was on of the best LB in Portugal and was highly rated before we signed him. VDB too was highly rated at Ajax and at some point, Madrid were lilooking at his direction. Bailly isn't a bad CB, for the money we plaid for Amad, I expected that we'd see more of him in the last 20-25mins of games just to access how ready he is to take up the RWF spot ahead of the summer just so we don't go and splash the cash for another RWF after signing Amad and Pellestri for good money...Matic can still do a job, at least if managed properly so, we have got quality on that bench or rather some quality so Ole should do more to get the best out of those guys after all they get paid too.
