Where I think the board goofed is in the appointment of mangers and purchase of players where we had different manager come in and requested for whichever player they preferred and the succeeding manager coming in to replace those players with his own kind of players. I did not say it was a given but based on where we are now, if things stay the same and barring a special performance in the Euros or Copa, Messi stands a strong chance.

Neymar is super talented but he shiuld learn to release the ball faster...De Bruyne like Messi know when to hang onto the ball and when to pass, no time for fanciful football...Foden is another player who is getting it right.

Whilst their incompetence has affected our ability to compete for major trophies, I feel in the same period we have had the necessary quality to do more in domestic cup competitions and even mount a title challenge in one or two seasons where the other big guns weren't firing on all cylinders.
