I no fit sleep o! Refreshing Skysports page every two minutes cos of Woodward, that man may just deliver Otamendi, Ramos and Oblak in one fell swoop...#Baddoo

funlord:

No wahala! Let mr van gaal and mr woodward finish with that midfield and the defence 1st! Those are the problematic zones! Once that region is covered, any remaining change can be used to chance some clubs of their prized "striker possessions"! The transfer window still has a long way to go before it closes! WE WILL SIGN 4 SURE!

If Otamendi and Ramos were up for grabs, who would you rather we signed?

Morgan Schneiderlin is a red devil...Ed Woodward is serious o!
At this rate, we might just sign the trio of Hazard, Silva and Sanchez for our Reserve team...

funlord:
So lacazette and morata are proven? Where? in "ligue 1 and seria a"? 2 leagues where mr cavani has already excelled but you rate 2 guys that do not possess his records in both leagues higher than him? And what makes you think all these "benzema, muller and lewandowskis" won't struggle like falcao? Or do you possess a crystal ball? And have you heard the figures bandied about for muller at all? £60Milli! does that make economic sense 2 you?

Boss no be quarrel o! Cavani and Kane will mostly cost as much as Benzema and Lewy, what's your preference?
and yes i'll take Lacazette and Morata over Kane and Benteke considering they'll be cheaper and equally efficient...

Schneiderlin medical ahead of a move...

funlord:

You tried! But now give us YOUR own 4 options for the club to consider! And please not UNREALISTIC ones like the "Karim benzema and Robert Lewandowski" I see you mentioning! Kane can't be cheap because he is english so that is a moot point!

No player is unrealistic except Messi and Ronaldo...45-50M euros will get one of Benzema/lewandowski/Muller...For cheaper deals, Lacazette/Morata

SailorXY:
of course I don't see any realistic upgrade

Benzema i reckon real madrid will be tempted if we offer anything from 40-45m euros...They's hardly any good alternative available so might have to over pay slightly

funlord:
As 4 me man united should endeavour 2 sign the following strikers;
1 Edison cavani
2 Harry kane
3 Christian benteke
4 Charlie austin ( as back up)

These are all realistic targets who are affordable and are also proven goal getters in the premier league or europe! This is my opinion! No time for unproven trial and error strikers in this transfer window!

Harry Kane affordable? Guess you've not met Daniel Levy...Cavani is more like a repetition of the Falcao mistake...Charlie Austin is yet unproven in the grandest of stages as is Benteke...Once upon a time a certain Andy Johnson and Darren Bent did the magic of disappearing after 1-2 seasons of promise...Not down for any risk, get me Lewy or Benz before we start discussing about backups cos we have a ready made backup striker in Wayne Rooney

Only Benzema and Lewandowski are good enough but are not in the market...This scouts sef, them no fit unearth any gem?

SailorXY:
why can't we use Rooney, Hernandez & Wilson? after all its one @ a time & we have others who can be support strikers if need be like Mata, Depay, Fellaini & even Young.

So you'll be fine with Rooney, Hernandez and Wilson?

Whynotthetruth:
Hope you document it well

Ignored henceforth...

Change over transformation any day, anytime...This is just the beginning hopefully

Second lineup with Schweinsteiger in Carrick's position and Di Maria in schweinsteiger position

Wow...you learnt that too?...Enjoy your madness

Emekamex:
->Look, I am not defending GEJ or whatever; churches and mosques were also attacked in his tenure; infact, the highest casualty in one single attack was carried out in his tenure, when over 200 people were killed during the Kano bomb blast, and I did raise concern about these.
->What I am trying to say is that we shouldn't be quick to praise people so early, so that we won't be heartbroken when the reverse is the case; this is always the story between Nigerian people and their leaders. I want it to be different from now on.

Whilst i agree that it reeks of mediocrity to praise every step taken by the government, i also think it's absolutely foolish of any one to attempt to dismiss the efforts of the government in power...

Liverpool and Man city agree fee for Raheem Sterling tranfer to the Ettihad stadium subject to a medical and trashing of personal terms...lol
Two mediocre clubs doing business for the transfer of an equally mediocre player...
We're talking Bastian Schweinsteiger, Depay, Matteo Darmian and you're talking Raheem Sterling...DIfference in class...

StarBoard:
Maybe.
Don't know how Memphis is defensively. We found out that DiMaria was not that good tracking back last season. The only person in that group that offers defensive cover is Young.
Maybe the back six will be enough to help defensively, I hope. Otherwise van Gaal still has a problem with sorting out his most effective lineup even with these apparent abundance of talent.

More reason i'll support the idea of a double pivot just so our wingers will have less to do defensively

Emekamex:
->The reason is because Buhari made threat against them without backing it up with action.
->If you followed the news during GEJ's time, Boko Haram always step up their attack whenever GEJ makes direct threats in his remark against them.

Were Boko Haram blowing up Churches and Mosque during GEJ's tenure as Commander in Chief of the Arm Forces, Yes or No?
Secondly, did you raise any concern as a patriotic citizen should do, yes or no?

Whynotthetruth:
I look forward to the day you will be delivered from spirit of ediocy

If this is ediocy, may that day never come...#WailingWailer

Emekamex:
->Those claiming that Buhari is responsible for improved power aint saying the truth; it is a well known fact that there is better power supply in Nigeria during rainy season and this is attributed to increased water levels in our electricity dams.
->The major difference in power situation under Buhari's tenure is that gas pipeline vandalization that happens almost every two weeks in GEJ's tenure has stopped; which begs to question; who was behind these atrocious acts? And why have they stopped all of a sudden?
->Buhari's government lack a clear direction or plan for the country and this is hurting our foreign investments and relative peace due to deteriorating security situation in the nation.

Going by your analogy, it is also pertinent we question who is behind ever increasing insurgency in the north?
Sometimes the way you guys think is disturbing, it's no wonder y'all addressed as the "WAILING WAILERS"

StarBoard:
Assuming we get it sorted (looking at Otamendi as the last piece in that puzzle) I would still favor that screen in front of the defense.
It would mean sacrificing width but would make us more solid.

It won't necessarily mean sacrificing width, it will just mean we'll be a little bit more defensive conscious...With Depay, Di Maria, Young and hopefully a productive/matured Januzaj, our flanks are sorted out for real...

SailorXY:
being frank & fair enough, it will take considerate effort to dislodge Herrera from that midfield.

We'll be playing much more games this, the players that'll make the starting line up will depend on the formation Van Gaal uses for each match...In a 4-3-3, i see Herrera starting but in a 4-2-3-1, i'd prefer a pivot of Schweini and Carrick/Schneiderlin...If Schneiderlin doesn't come, then Herrera is guaranteed a starting spot at all times

StarBoard:
Looks like one midfield would also leave.
Ashley Young just signed a new deal. Himself and Fellaini just showed how valuable they are for us.
Depay just got signed.
My suspects would be DiMaria and Mata to be most likely to leave, though I'm Leaning towards the former.
I dunno sha.

For, i don't think any other player should leave, first choice three behind the main striker should be Di Maria=====Mata=====Depay with Schweini and Carrick/Schneiderlin protecting the defense...Our defense is still not sorted out so i'll prefer two holding midfielders

SailorXY:
so we sell di Maria to sign Gaitan? abegi!

I don't subscribe to the idea but i think it's just a contingency plan in place to deal with any eventuality

Real bad, R.I.P to the dead

nduchucks:
Lets see what rebuttal will be offered to defend this.

Hehehe trust the Nairaland resident protection seeker to come up with a foolish rebuttal...

This man is so on point...
They're so many fools on this forum, Oshobaba was rather for an increase in the minimum wage sighting the evident inflation and weak Naira/Dollar exchange rate...
Someone once said "If you wanna hide something from a Black man, put it in a book"

igbsam:
But Di Maria hasn't said anything yet about him leaving. its all dis phucking tabloids. He crave for another chance dis coming season and I trust he wud settle in well.

I hope he stays, but then he has to adapt his game to suite the system in place, most times he's too eager to make something happen, a lil patience will do his game a whole lot of good

igbsam:
But we have enough attacking midfielders and wingers na. where dem wan put this one ? we don't need him abeg. They shud pls get us a CB and St. abeg....And a good keeper to replace De gea. That Atletico Madrid keeper wud fit in well.

Any deal for Gaitan depends on Di Maria staying or leaving the club...
