It's the current price of the market and he's just 22 with elite dribbling ability. Baleba is going for at least 70M despite being poor last season. Fernandes went for 85 and West Ham were relegated.

If we were the ones paying the same amount for Savinho and Spurs paying 70m for Baleba, I am sure you'd have issues with it.

The truth is that while both are overpriced, Baleba has done more in the EPL.

It's only the signing of Santos that had me in doubt, but from what I read/heard of him and even from the other players, he looks like a solid addition.

I saw a video today where a couple of our players were asked who was going to be the breakout star this season, and Santos had a couple of mentions.

If he fails the medical, then we will quickly move on to another target, as we did with Ederson. The good news here is that we now know we are actively in the market for an enforcer, so if it's not Baleba, we can expect that another player will be brought in.

Well said. Carrick needs to try out a three man midfield for some games. Baleba, Maino/Santos and Tielemans offers so much control and dominance.

It will be interesting to watch us play without Bruno. I think it will suit the kind of control football Carrick wants. Baleba - Tielemans - Mainoo...

Yeah - that would be up to Carrick . He's gotta manage their minutes and match fitness such that when any void needs to be filled, there wouldnt be any drastic drop in Midfield output.

It looks like Rashford is going to stay. It will be interesting to see what the club does with the LB position. Let's see if they'll stick with the options we already have in Shaw/Mazraoui/Dorgu.

People here acknowledged the improvement in the team performance during the previous pre-season games, and said we may need 2 or 3 new player to make the team even better. But seem the board is not ready to meet Carrick demand. I have no worries going into the new season, Carrick qualified us for CL without Santos, Tielemans and Trashford so i am looking forward to same or a better achievement next season. Carrick should sha be bold and unbiased when selecting his team on match days..
