You called someone lazy for saying that remaining single after having children can give a person peace. But is choosing peace automatically laziness? Marriage requires communication, patience and hard work, yes. But so does deciding to walk away from a situation that is destroying your peace. Staying married at all costs is not the only evidence that a person is hardworking or mature.
And please, let's not use children as an emotional weapon. Children can be bitter when parents separate, but children can also grow up bitter when they spend years watching their parents fight, disrespect each other, cheat, abuse each other or live together without love and peace. Marriage under one roof does not automatically mean a happy family.
You also said my point is self-centeredness. I disagree. Wanting peace of mind is not selfish. A person has one life, and nobody should be forced to remain in a relationship simply because society says, “You must stay married.” If a person decides that they would rather raise their children and remain single than enter another relationship that may bring them pain, that is a personal choice.
