Religion / Re: Is Offering In The Church Compulsory? by Paul412(m): 3:47pm On Nov 29, 2007
Giving to the offering should not be an act of Religious Duty, but an act of Love to God the Father. There are 3 areas in which you can Tithe to God: Time, Talent and Treasure. If you genuinely don't have any treasure (money, or possessions to sell to get the money) to tithe to God, tithe your time (the time you are awake) and talent. We all have those time and talents, it's just that we don't always use them right, or honour God with them. That is what I'm striving to do in my life, that God may be Glorified.

It is up to you to make the first move, and then God will reward you accordingly. For anyone who has a Bible, I would like to guide you to Malachi 3:10-12.

God Bless,
Paul

Sports / Re: Who Do You Regard As A Football Superstar? by Paul412(m): 3:31pm On Nov 29, 2007
The one and only "Big Oba", Obafemi Martins. The fact that he plays for the football team that I support (Newcastle United, which is my hometown), means I'm down with him.  grin

Jay-Jay Okocha is probably better known, and has been (and still is) a great ambassador for Nigerian and African football. Babayaro is not really what I would consider a superstar, but is well known , and well established.

@ topic: Kanu and John Utaka, anyone? I had a good-natured argument with a Nigerian friend who lives in Canada as to who was the better striker. She made the point for Kanu, I staunchly defended the corner of Martins.
Nairaland / General / Hi Everyone. by Paul412(m): 3:13pm On Nov 29, 2007
Hey there. My name is Paul, and I'm from England. I am Saved, and have been called into the Office of Prophet by God, and I feel God has placed on me an immese burden to pray and intercede for your Nation. I'm on here just to make friends, and find out a bit about your country, in preparation for when I come to Nigeria in August 2008 for 2 weeks (I have received Prophecies/Revelations and Words of Knowledge on behalf of your Nation, and had been praying for a while that God would enable me to go to Nigeria). Here are a pic of me (I hope to get some new ones done soon).

May God richly bless you,
Paul
