Module 3: Step by Step guide on how to become a super rich holy businessman.

It is with great joy that I announce to you the proven line of action masters in this trade have shown and manifested with fruitful results to display as evidence of the workability of this business in terms of a rich showing in financial and material power. The likes of Benny hinn, T.D jakes and Creflo Dollar are living testimonies of giant strides that can be taken if you truly wish to arrive into the scene of the world famous and super rich. Benny hinn and Chris Oyakhilome belong to the first school of holy businessmen I call the Hinn Institute of holy business, T.B Joshua who belongs to the Magic/Voodoo institute of holy business and Creflo dollar, T.D jakes, Mathew Ashimolowo, David Oyedepo as well as Kenneth Copeland who belong to the word of faith/prosperity gospel institute of holy business.

Profile of the pioneers in each Institute of Holy business

1. Hinn’s Institute of Holy Business.

Benny Hinn is the Don and chancellor of this Academy born Toufik Benedictus "Benny" Hinn (Arabic: توفيق بندكتوس "بني" الحن‎, on December 3, 1952), in jaffa Israel to a greek father and Armenian mother, he was raised as a greek orthodox Christian. Soon after the Six-Day War, Hinn's family emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where Hinn attended and later dropped out of the Georges Vanier Secondary School. He has no formal training as a minister.
He quite understands that Christianity, faith and healings are subjective hence the difficulty in proving or disproving claims of miracles where the recipient of such miracles being performed are unreachable by credible but independent investigations. In other words as long as claims of miracles can neither be proven nor disproved, then it is very well O.K to stage manage miracles since in any case it is meant to deceive and mislead gullible people who are only interested in what they want to see, hear and feel. More on benny hinn can be read at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_Hinn

He is extremely clever and very conceited with the use of his crafty and "You-turn behaviours". When he makes clear unambiguous statements which are nothing more than predictions (not ‘prophesies’ like he claims) that fail he would make face saving statements like “it was God’s plan for it not to happen, really”. While prediction and prophesy do not mean the same thing, this man tries really hard to make it look otherwise. Some other examples of hinn’s failed 'prophesies', are provided in this link http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/tbn.htm

Benny Hinn whose assets run into hundreds of millions of dollars is an astute business man who presides over a $120 million income per annum business aside owning an $8.5 million dollar beach front home, a private jet which cost $39 million and $600,000 per annum to maintain as well as a retinue of well trained body guards who accompany him whenever he travels, a fleet of luxury cars etc. This very man has shown that where you are coming from is unimportant when compared with where you are heading. Compare his humble beginnings with his present state.

The principal characteristic of people who belong to this institute is that they preach and teach faith healing via the use stage managed miracles and the use of televangelism which teaches word of faith or prosperity gospel or more appropriately a combination of both. Many of them use televangelism as a means of reaching the unsuspecting. Benny hinn has ‘This is your day’ telecast, Chris Oyakhilome uses ‘Atmosphere for miracles, teaching programme and ‘Atmosphere for faith’. He also has ‘Christ embassy and you’ and a programme wholly devoted to his daily devotional Rhapsody of Realities. Whenever these men are challenged about the authenticity of the miracles they perform they put up all sorts of silly defences. For instance Chris Oyakhilome will claim that he doesn’t need anyone to validate his ministry (but no one is trying to do that all they want is evidence that his miracles are not stage managed) when challenged to permit independent observers authenticate/verify his ‘great works’ or 'that miracles do not have to be proven'.

They are also crafty people. After having his atmosphere of miracles program banned by NBC in 2004, Chris Oyakhilome came out in 2008, with a similar version of atmosphere of miracles this time named atmosphere for faith in which he shares testimony of people ‘healed’ of various illnesses, reads and answers questions pertaining to healing, faith and tries to pray for viewers with various ailments, some of which he claims have received their healing. He would often claim that people get healed during his telecast (even though his telecast is not aired simultaneously in the various stations where they are shown) he could state that ‘there is someone watching this telecast with a cancer below the diaphram’ or ‘someone with a hearing defect’ in all cases he would say you are healed by the power of the holy ghost or be healed in Jesus name. Till date (between 2000 and 2008) there has never been evidence from independent and credible sources because Chris Oyakhilome’s Christ embassy ltd would never allow photographers or journalists from news media to interview or assess those who have claimed to be healed. More on Chris Oyakhilome will be explained later in this module.

2. Magic/Voodoo Institute of Holy Business.

Born Temitope Balogun Joshua on June 12 1963 in Arigidi, Akoko, Ondo state, is the founder and CEO of Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) ltd, he is also known as the man in the synagogue. This man is apparently humble and unassuming, soft spoken, amiable, easy going and also friendly. He is also generous and shows an outward attitude of goodness. But and there is a big BUT, he practices a form of spiritism (it aims to establish a worldwide religion) which is shamanism in its most elaborate form. The evidence of this is seen in the following examples of miracles he performed in his church between 1995 and 2002. First let’s find out the meaning of shamanism according to wikipedia free online encyclopedia defines shamanism as:
“Shamanism refers to a range of traditional beliefs and practices concerned with communication with the spirit world. A practitioner of shamanism is known as a shaman. There are many variations of shamanism throughout the world; following are beliefs shared by all forms of shamanism:[1]
• Spirits exist and they play important roles both in individual lives and in human society.
• The shaman can communicate with the spirit world.
• Spirits can be good or evil.
• The shaman can treat sickness caused by evil spirits.
• The shaman can employ trance inducing techniques to incite visionary ecstacy.
• The shaman's spirit can leave the body to enter the supernatural world to search for answers.
• The shaman evokes animal images as spirit guides, omens, and message-bearers.

What do shamans believe and practice? Here are the common beliefs and practices of shamans:

1. Shamans like all spiritists do not usually pray when conducting their rituals let’s see this quote “in accordance with its scientific approach, in Spiritism, prayer is not a rote ritual, since no specific words or prayers matter, but only the quality of a person's thoughts and intentions matters.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritism. The apostles of Jesus Christ often said prayers even if short while performing miracles.

2. Shamans believe that different spiritual powers are attributable to different animals (animism) and objects (animatism). For instance when TB Joshua carries out exorcism on some so called bewitched people he would often ask them of the source(s) of their power(s) or the type of power they possess usually in the form of animal or inanimate objects. In one of the miracle sessions I witnessed him performing in 1995, a bewitched woman who claimed she had 88 powers and was sent by her spiritual mother to come and kill him, she said had killed 1000 people and received 12 extra powers to strengthen her against Joshua. The same woman said in reply to his question that she had fish power (some call it marine spirit) (Animism). Even when relieving some people of illnesses, he would often ask them to vomit their ‘powers’ which could be rocks, small statues, rings or sometimes lives animals such as rats which some women pass through their private parts live and in front of all witnessing his ‘healing’ sessions.

3. Shamans operate outside organized religions: All shamans do not like to practice within organized religious settings such as Christianity, Islam or Judaism. Instead they tend to mix traditional practices with religious practices while claiming to be aiming to unite men of all nations. When asked why he named his business “Synagogue church of all nations”, Joshua claimed that his god is a universal god hence the name church of all nations. This probably explains why an Islamic injunction was once found in his church stating there is no God except Allah.

4. Shamans can only cure specific illnesses whether the recipient has faith or not: Shamans can only treat illnesses caused by evil spirits which inflict their victims with such illnesses especially cancers and organ diseases. Joshua seems to have difficulty healing liver and kidney related illnesses or diseases.

5. Those healed by shamans do not have to accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour: many non-Christians who come and receive healings of any kind from Joshua usually return not as Christians (who ought to repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour) but people relieved of various illnesses many of whom continue to practice whatever faith or religion they were previously practicing. An example is with the present president of Gabon, Omar Bongo who is still a practicing muslim.

6. Shamans are usually superstitious: For instance the same woman, who claimed she had received 12 extra powers to confront Joshua, claimed she was being burnt by fire and was seen crying and begging Joshua to put off the fire which according to her was burning her left leg. Joshua then asked her to take her hand away from the affected area and what was revealed as a burn was just a birth mark implying that people with birth marks were once witches or wizards who have been burnt by the fire of the Holy Spirit.

7. Joshua Claims to have received his power at the time of his birth. Even if this is true it is anti-Christian because every one born of a woman is with sin and only comes to experience Christ after becoming born of water and the spirit. If his power is Holy Spirit inspired he could not possibly have received it at birth like he claims or else he would be equating himself with Jesus Christ who was born without sin.

8. Joshua’s interpretation of the blood of Jesus of Christ: in 2001, TB Joshua blessed a tank filled with water and asked his congregation to taste of it. The response and the effects of this was “false separation between the Sheep and the goats- In addition to the other antics at the blasphemous "Blood of Jesus " service, as the people pushed, pulled and shoved forward to participate in the so-called blood, those who had "agents of Satan", were put into a demonic frenzy, rolling on the ground, through the muck and mire (more on that next) screaming and
moaning in agony. There is demon possession indeed, but one would look in vain anywhere in the scriptures to find any deliverance service remotely resembling this so called "Blood of Jesus" service. Joshua proclaimed this as the" separation of the sheep and the goats", which actually takes place at Judgment Day. http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/tbjoshua-rebuke.html. The blood of Jesus Christ in Christianity means only two things; (1)The physical blood actually shed by Jesus Christ on the Cross, and the salvation which Christianity teaches was accomplished thereby (2) The Eucharistic wine used at holy communion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_of_Christ). TB Joshua’s interpretation of the blood of Jesus Christ falls outside the purview of biblical usage and Christian Doctrine.

Note the six similarities mentioned common to all shamans, and see if Joshua’s works are not closely related. In all Joshua’s miracles causes fear among many who witness them especially the weak minded and encourages superstition.

Let’s now understand what a genuine miracle worker inspired by the Holy Spirit and working for the Lord is about. First a miracle is a sign

First we shall search the scriptures and find out why Jesus Christ and his apostles performed miracles and the place of miracles with Christianity. Jesus Christ principally wanted to draw pagans and unbelievers to himself whenever he performed miracles, making them realize that his works were not of man but that of God. Since the place of God in the hearts of man should be the ultimate desire for everyman. Hence a miracle aims to establish the glory of God and the salvation/good of man. The evidence of this can be seen in the following cases:

1. Shedrach, Meshach and Abednigo: Daniel 3
2. The writing on the wall and the preservation of Daniel from lions: Daniel Chapter 5 and 6
3. Conversion of Paul Acts 9 1-9
4. The Pentecost Acts 2
5. All the mighty works of our Lord Jesus Christ

There are countless other examples, but in all God is glorified and man is liberated from sin.

@opokonwa

You have not still explained how all these is the same thing as 'Judging' others or 'doing God's work for God'. I have accepted responsibility for my action (warning not judging like you say).

At least enlighten me what is 'judging' others or 'doing God's work for God'?

And I am not expecting you to be "one of those readers who may get carried away by my writing veracity and penchant for arguement but fail to point out to you your flaws where necessary" but at least since you have pointed out my flaws do very well to explain yourself so that my 'responsibility' will be clearly defined. Thank you.

opokonwa:
Nigerians are generally superstitious people and many believe it is not their place to criticize pastors
Better to be safe than to 'touch the Lord's annoited'. Well they are right.
Even David in the Bible would not kill King Saul when he had such opportunity because he feared God and understood his principles.
Why do the work of God for God? huh Why not let HIM judge them when their time comes?
How am I doing the work of God for God? How will all what I have done stop God from judging them when their time comes? Why not explain what Judging them in your own words means? or better still making appropriate references to scripture at least to show that I am doing God's work for God. Please understand that I am aware that even when the truth is as bright and visible as the sun people will still be deceived, but warning others of what they are facing isn't the same thing as 'judging' or doing 'God's work for God'.

opokonwa:
Afterall, Jesus Christ in the Bible predicted that there shall arise many false prophets in his name.
Is it not happening now? huh On the contrary, I do not only admire your audacity,I also admire your writing skills. The way you express yourself shows that you are not only informed but perhaps, you've been watching those pastors you mentioned and their 'abracadabra' antics for a long while.
My instincts tells me that you cannot stomach it anymore hence exposing them here. I admire your courage.
However, much as I admire your courage and your enterprise in venturing where angels fear to thread, I have to caution you.
Your caution is noted and thanks a million for the advise.

opokonwa:
I also am disgusted by what I've watched of those pastors on tv. I also do not trust most of them. I feel the same disgust you feel about them. I have felt it for many years.
But I know what you don't. That it is not my place to openly judge them.
You will be surprised that I already know that, in the concluding commentary you will see why.

opokonwa:
But as far as there is hope to be given, miracles (no matter how fake) to be performed, disturbed minds to soothe and a market ready for them, these 'holy businesses' as you coined them will continue to thrive.
With all certainty.

PART IV MODULE 2

5. Not forgetting monetized spiritually unsound sermons such as “let’s talk about sex”, in seminar style. The ideal thing here is to make them pre-booked with registration fees clearly stated in the adverts as Mathew Ashimolowo will often do.

Target Market

If you sincerely hope to meet your goals then you must know your market. You should be able to ask and answer the following questions:

1. Who are your customers? For instance you could work by segmenting people into classes such as sex (Men, women), age (youths), income level (business executives), marital status (single, married etc), employment status (job seekers, self employed or businessmen) geographical location (high brow areas preferable or slums which are more realistic in our present economic state). The answer to this question should determine your approach in capturing your niche.

2. What are your customer needs?

• Single men and women usually want life partners
• Married women want to have their own children
• Young and upwardly mobile people want success and prestige in the form of financial independence, promotion in their places of work, victory over rivals whom some may term enemies
• Businessmen want business breakthrough
• Ignorant, fearful and superstitious people want assurance and protection etc.

3. Where can you find your customers?

• Usually women searching for life partners fall between ages 22 – 30. These women can be found in campuses, workplaces, churches etc. Just as the single men looking for life partners are usually between ages 25 – 40 and are mainly employed or businessmen.
• Upwardly mobile people are more sociable and could be found in relaxation spots such as prestigious social clubs, restaurants, hotels etc. usually in high brow areas. Setting up your business very close to places like these is very convenient if you intend to specialize in prosperity and success gospel.
• Also financially insecure and excessively ambitious people need a doze of prosperity gospel. Some of them are either hardened spenders who are always in debt or people born with wooden spoons in their mouths. You might find most of them in slums and middleclass neighbourhoods.
• The superstitious, fearful and the ignorant are mainly illiterate, un-informed and poor people who are used to superstitious and un-informed beliefs. Majority of these people reside in the suburbs.

Overall, your target market should be arrived at after you have done an extensive market research.

Market Summary

In this segment of your business plan, you need to consider the overall market size, your competitors, your share of the market etc.

1. Overall market size.

There is no exact figure of Christians in Nigeria, since the NPC only broke down our national population into men as 71,709,859 and Women as 68,293,083.
Using CIA fact book about Nigeria the population of Christians is approximately 56,000,000 but for the sake of being conservative let’s stick with 52,000,000.

Note, the task of ‘soul winning’ should be targeted at Church goers or Christians and not unbelievers such as pagans, and other sectarian zealots most of whom have not heard about Jesus Christ and who in any case ought to attract greater priorities from true Christian missionaries. It is much easier to win over a church goer or weak Christian mind than a person born into paganism or you know the other religion which is intolerant to infidels. You cannot afford to waste time in this business because time is money. The more time you save the more money you make for yourself.

2. Your competitors.

Note that the existence of competition is another thing that can force you out of business. You must know your competition; their strengths and weaknesses, their manner of approaching prospects, the reason behind their success or failure, how long they have been in existence, compare your own plans with what many of these businesses have been doing and see whether you have a real chance of challenging them. In conclusion make sure you do a SWOT analysis yourself for your intending business. Note SWOT means Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.

3. Your share of the market.

This booming industry has a lot of potential if properly harnessed, and only the eagle eyed, savvy type will be smart and fast enough to make the much needed break. Our target ideally should be for an impressive 100,000 members in 5 years. You must apply management principles like I stated earlier to enable you device a blueprint that will see you through to your intended goal.

4. Market strategy

This includes knowing your customer groups and developing products and services that meet their needs.

There are two ways to group your customers:

1. According to need
2. According to class

We have seen that people fall into different segments such as group based segments i.e age, sex, marital status, occupation, geographical location etc. But there also exists need based groups such as the insecure, fearful, superstitious, egotistical, selfish etc.

You should aim to device the right product that meets the needs of the identified groups, and ensure that they are superior to what your competitors have to offer. Make sure you capitalize on the weaknesses of your competitors or you will have yourself to blame. For instance your strategy should include making promises and inviting people from other churches to come and see the ‘power of God in action’, through the special anointing working through you, God’s anointed. Promise that the power of the Holy Spirit will flow “yafun yafun” like The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ltd led by one Lazarus Muochukwuka uses in some of its marketing campaigns. NB: Obviously to them the Holy Spirit is a stream of water they tightly hold on to in their reservoirs. What a serious discredit to Christianity. On a more light hearted note: if this business had been a little faster in seeking SEC and NSE approval, would have successfully conducted its private placement before coming out with its initial public offering in order to expand and take its rightful place among all these holy businesses.

Also make promises that will target every possible group by stating “no matter the problem you are going through bring it to the Lord’s feet and your life will never be the same again”. Never let them know that we do not serve God to get want we want from him, but rather to glorify him and that most people who come to experience the power of the Holy Ghost like you claim will go home disappointed (except of course for the few ones whom you would have compensated financially to testify on your behalf about the “goodness of the Lord”). And if you are challenged on this make it look like the disappointed ones lacked faith as a way of saving face for yourself and your business.

Use eye catching slogans that will attract many to your business. For instance use slogan immediately after business name like in the following examples;

• KICC ….………….raising champions

• Christ Embassy ……………….giving your life a meaning

B. A registered business name.

You need to know that there are three types of businesses namely; Sole proprietorship, Partnership and Limited Liability Companies. Let us look at them one after the other.

1. Sole Proprietorship: in this case you founded the business on your own, and have total control of the business. You are more appropriately termed Church Proprietor/Chairman and CEO. The ideal thing here is to constitute a board of trustees that will be your rubber stamp. The need to constitute this board is so that Federal Inland Revenue Service will see you as a non profit making organization and thus exempt you from taxation.

2. Partnership: here you and one or more other persons combine forces to own a business together. You could have the gift of speaking fine, while your partner may be a gifted administrator. Your responsibilities will be delegated according to ability in the following order:

• You as senior pastor or general overseer
• Your partner as director or administrator etc

There are different types of partners. Some will only contribute funds to the flourishing business and leave out the rest. So know this before going out to start.

3. Limited Liability Companies: these are companies in which the liability of every investor is limited to the amount of financial contribution made by each person. In order words the owners are share holders in the business and in the event of indebtedness, cannot be made to sell off personal properties to meet obligations with creditors.

In all cases you must have a registered board of trustees as a method for tax avoidance.

Depending on the kind of business you are going into, choose a name that truly reflects the products and services you wish to sell. The naming convention for your business must be right or else you will have a hard time selling to your customers. For instance, a mega business such as Living Faith Tabernacle Ltd uses an alias in the form A.K.A Winners Chapel as a way of describing the services and offers awaiting those who join and belong to the fold of that business which at face value implies success, victory and triumph. The result of this is a mammoth sized patronage from the targeted niche which the business founder seems to know only too well.

Again I say this, some of us have also studied pastors for ages but what sort of anger prompted you to write what i can only call a book. And as I said earlier which was also confirmed by sk8erboy, you've got a vendetta against a{or some} churches You have some inside knowledge that you want to share and the way the story is going, I'm afraid that by the time you actually share it, the scepticism would have crept in ans the story will become unbelieveable. As in people will question not only your motive but also the truthfulness of your worlds. Also the fact that you decided to make it all free not even as a copyright on a privately owned website fuels my scepticism a lot more
I am quite sure common sense will inform any discerning mind that inside knowledge about how things work can be obtained from observation and personal investigation.

Wait till the concluding commentary if you are truly interested in finding out the truth.

Becoming sceptical at this stage could also be misinterpreted as being disturbed by the findings.

Once again wait till the end of the course and Judge for yourself the motive behind this course not book like you want yourself to believe.

sk8erBoy:
Dear Poster,
I have read your interesting expose on the similarities between distorted modern day 'Christian ministry' and timeless business enteprises. That man has made of divine estate a selfish venture is a fact too obvious. Your arguement is logical, your dexterity in expression is admirable and your depth in the Word courts suspision. Your maturity in handling derails is enviable. Reacting will only suggest an equation of your intelligence to that of the derailers.
As i read through your lessons i sought for the voice behind the text(something akin to the Spirit behind the letter) asking myself questions like to what intent are you embarking on this voyage and if you are a Christian as you claim to be then are your actions in the interest of Christianity, decimating the little faith in the fledgling newborns or stregthening the arguements and arrogance of the Christian skeptics. I arrived at the conclusion that your topic is a direct opposite of your intent.
I however stumbled upon another topic posted by you in this same segment. This seredipitous event led me,otherwise conservative and largely terse,to write this and take your 'lessons' with a pinch of salt. Your objectivity is at the risk of being diluted by your continued reference to a single ministry indicative of a grouse againts 'it' at a subliminal level. Your insistence on name calling and direct references further strenghtens this fact and your points are being obscured by these persistent references making me believe that the original intent is birthed by some personal vendetta or you are a dissident of that Ministry.
These 'lessons' would have been perfect otherwise but will your intents have been met? Please search your conscience at each line you post asking yourself if what you are doing glorifies God or like the 'Holy Businessmen' self-glorifying and ego-soothing,obviously not for financial reasons else you would have published and sold a book even though some motivations are deadlier than mere avarice.
I am an objective reader and a professing Christian,i adhere to the doctrines of no man in particular save Christ. I am no proponent of any Ministry, neither am i a critic of any but a crusader for godly conscience.
Ultimately,Let God be the final Judge-Remember the consequences of trying to hold God's ark from falling.

Sk8erBoy-strictly an alias.
Why didn't you wait till the end of the course before arriving at your submission?

Plus it will interest you to know that more than one ministry will be mentioned in this very write-up. May I know what exactly you wish to state? Part IV of this same module which is the next submission will show this to you.

You should also search your conscience and ask yourself if you personally do not feel offended by the veracity of all the stated facts.

God will always be the final judge whether I like it or not and no amount of human effort (that includes mine) can change that.

Truthfully some others who have criticized me for name calling are not blinded to the fact that more than one ministry will be mentioned.

Hope you will honestly and sensibly analyse your argument before claiming to see the spirit behind the text.

Part III Module 2

3. Requirements for this trade

A. a business plan

Ideally when embarking upon a major project, a feasibility study is needed to inform us about the viability of an identified opportunity and therefore state the feasibility or workability of such a venture. But in our case there is no need for that. Many holy businesses have existed before us and many others are still existing or joining in the trade showing that this opportunity is viable.

What is a business plan?

It is a document that outlines the strategy or techniques an individual or organization must apply in order to achieve a desired objective or goal in the form of profit, expansion or growth, competitive advantage or even raising capital to fund the operations of the business.

Your business plan must do the following:

1. Keep you focused on your goals which are profit and having a competitive advantage i.e helping you gain and retain customers etc.
2. Enable you practice sound management principles
3. Successfully steer you towards easy financing whether for expansion, maintaining operations or promoting yourself.

Keep in mind that you need a business plan to succeed because the lack of it is the number one cause of failure for budding entrepreneurs. Any body going into business should consider that there is always the need to be ahead of competition or at least to be relevant within your target market. A business plan is your best guide in this regard.

Since you are in the business of buying and selling in God’s name and God is not a physical commodity it therefore follows that you are principally a merchant or a service based businessman rather than a manufacturer. Therefore you will not need the following items:

1. A factory
2. Machinery
3. Equipments
4. Distribution chain
5. Nafdac Registration Number
6. SON certification and accreditation
7. Labour whether casual or regular.
8. Vehicles etc.

But instead you will need the following:

1. An office space

• Such as any warehouse,
• Halls (located in fast food restaurants such as Sweet Sensation or those in hotels such as Eko le’meridien or even the MUSON centre. Please note you only need these types on Sundays only),
• A specially rented 2 or 3 bedroom flat is also not bad
• If you lack funds you can also use half completed buildings or open spaces such as primary school grounds, or the back of your compound or friends’ compound or even your living room.

2. Office equipments could include:

• Loud speakers especially the noisy type that will prevent people from sleeping fine.
• Micro phones
• Giant size bill boards or banners
• Chairs especially plastic chairs
• A mini podium that could serve as pulpit
• Not also forgetting the noisy, smoky and environmentally unfriendly generator, you know you cannot rely on PHCN. Those people they will just put san san for your garri.
• Stationery such as handbills showcasing your business, location and time of service. Please do not forget they should also show your face boldly on them, and
• Of course a bible which you must be ready to read and use selfishly by quoting out of context.

3. Start up capital

This could be in the form of savings, borrowings, investments from financial partners, pledges and donations etc.

Your business plan should be summarized in the following way for easy access and consulting:

1. Executive Summary
2. Market Summary
3. Financial Summary

Executive Summary

This aspect of your business plan must endeavour to state in clear terms the reason for starting i.e your mission statement as well as your vision, the very nature of your business; its products and services. Your intended market as well your projection within the next say 5 years. For instance;

Mission Statement

1. To be among the best 10 run holy businesses in Nigeria.

2. The eradication of poverty for ourselves by becoming rich first then hope our customers will also become rich so that they can pay fat tithes and offerings as a testament of God’s work more in our lives than in their lives.

Vision

To have at least 100,000 active tithe paying members within the next 5 years

Description of business

1. Providing special services such as commercial and permanently unverifiable miracles (through the use of miracle services, crusades and revivals which enjoy the patronage of tithe paying, seed sowing, offering giving, money donating, gullible miracle seekers). This service can also be carried out through the use of seat booking in advance which are not free of course. Although it is essentially unscriptural since miracles performed by Jesus Christ and his Apostles were not only PROVABLE, but were done totally free of charge without any need for the recipient to give money or gifts to a JUST and LOVING God, however who are we to imitate the works of the apostles of Jesus Christ. We are businessmen who usually rent stadia, open air spaces, or buy and build up massive structures from which as a necessity we must be adequately rewarded bountifully in terms of naira.

2. Sale of cleverly packaged messages lacking spiritual depths in Audio cassettes, VCD/DVD, mp3 formats, e-book format, book format whether soft cover or hard cover etc.

3. Sale of money spinning daily devotionals with the face of the holy businessman or better still Church Proprietor/CEO and maybe his wife, that may be RHAPSODIES or simply episodes which appear to reflect REALITIES, but in totality is merely an avenue for lining their pockets.

4. Use of crafty methods for collecting illicit donations such as offer to be paying partners in the sale of daily devotionals, healing schools and going electronic with requests for monetary donations for ‘God’s work’ which can only be defined by us, and also making empty promises of divine blessing.

Let us see a credible example of this: in the words of Christ Embassy “The beauty of this kind of partnership is that its reward is not only in heaven but right here on earth. Firstly, the partner is a partaker of the anointing and grace upon the Man of God and this anointing causes him to experience the same results in life and ministry as Pastor Chris.

Partnering with Rhapsody of Realities also secures the life of the partner against poverty, sickness, disease, failure, death and infirmities because he is a provider of salvation, deliverance, and hope to the lives of others.”

http://www.rhapsodyofrealities.org/home/rorpartnership.htm

Knowing that only God can give hope, salvation and deliverance to man, a partner of Rhapsody of realities automatically becomes a divine being equal in status and power to God. A message like this is powerfully effective to make us serious money.

Please bear with me. Part IV will be on tomorrow.

God bless

Part II Module 2

F. Offer false hope to and Brainwash the desperate

What is a desperate man’s greatest relief? Hope of course. Desperation usually comes after prolonged misery. Misery most times is self-inflicted but could also come due to misfortune. For instance a man who has just lost his job, whose wife has just left him, who is also heavily indebted to many people including his landlord, has just lost his loving mother and is being threatened with arrests or even death by some of his creditors and all this has spanned a period of say 2 weeks, is miserable and is a good example of someone who could become desperate. He badly needs hope to remain himself (not lose his sanity or take his life) and will do anything to get hope. Such a person might be willing to accept help from anywhere and if he recovers from his distress will remain forever grateful to whoever saw him through. Such people are easy targets for us. Knowing that they will likely pay back in more measure than they received, it will cost nothing to assist him in his distress. That is not to say helping people in distress is a bad thing, it is really good to help those in need of help but what makes the difference is our intention for helping. In our own case we are doing so for selfish reasons because we want to be paid back unlike what Jesus Christ implored “give to the poor who cannot repay their debts”. Note you don’t have to be the one assisting, but others whom you must have implored to show mercy to their fellow man. This same man must then be permanently pinned down to your congregation so that he doesn’t leave without you getting more than you gave to him. You can achieve this by brainwashing him with fear induced pep talk. Let him think if he leaves his problems will return to him again.

G. Repeat a self-serving message over and over again in other to alter the truth.

The best way to tell a lie is to mix a little bit of fiction and fact together and make them work harmoniously such that they can illustrate a strong point which naturally can persuade the simple minded and even mislead a well informed mind. For instance if you want to convince people to do your bidding do so by not stating your needs. Instead offer an inspiring message that makes attractive promises to those who heed them and damning consequences for those who do not. Make sure these messages have points that can be backed with authoritative sources such as bible verses. Above all these messages should ultimately meet your selfish needs. For instance I can preach the need for people to pay tithes and especially emphasise cash i.e 10% of income instead of agricultural produce which is what tithes are actually supposed to be and claim that God frowns seriously at those who don’t pay tithes. Then quote verses such as Malachi 3: 8-10 out of context (note that in KJV meat is mentioned in verse 10 against food which is used in some other translations when describing tithes) and deliberately leave out Deutoronomy 26: 12 – 15 which tells people the true meaning of tithes. The fiction here lies in the fact that: during the time of Jesus Christ, the practice of giving tithes (not paying tithes as we have it today) was very different from what obtains today and yet we must not let the truth out that is: that tithes as we have it today in many holy businesses is self-serving whereas what truly applies to Christianity is communal contributions (which is ideally monetary in nature or cash to be precise and is a voluntary thing not a levy like it is today) towards the church treasury. Compare this with contributions towards the temple treasury Mark 12: 41 and Luke 21: 1- 4 and what the early Christians also practiced as is illustrated in Acts 4: 32-35 and Acts 5: 1-11. The evidence that tithing as we have it today is a man made commandment will be illustrated later in the concluding commentary. Of course this is not the only lie we can tell. We can also for instance, create the impression that Jesus Christ came to make every man rich by arguing that poverty is of the devil. Make it look like if anyone is poor it is because such a person does not have the life of Christ in him. Please do not remind them of poor Lazarus who went to heaven and the rich man who went to hell because it is bad business practice. There are two reasons we must do tell this lie:

1. We need to justify our own opulence and extravagance. If we do not state that being poor is because we do not have the life of Christ in us then it will become obvious that we are milking our congregation who will become suspicious the moment they see how rich (in terms of naira and not righteousness) we are. Let instead conclude erroneously that indeed it is God’s will for us to be rich.
2. This type of lie is very appealing to the senses, as it motivates many to strive and go the extra mile to pay tithes, sow seeds (for our pockets) with the Lord and make special donations for God’s work and earn riches for themselves(actually earthly riches instead of heavenly riches).

Many other lies can be told and used with impunity. Just remember that fiction and fact should work harmoniously.

H. Mentally enslave your flock with fear.

The clichés among many Christians “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm” and “judge not let’s though be judged in the same measure” can be exploited to our own advantage by making bold emphasis on them with a view to shutting mouths that may want to question our misdeeds. If we wish for people not to point out our hypocrisy, deception and thievery make them think it is God’s duty only to unmask our true nature. Do not let them refer to Jesus’ injunction that “by their fruits you shall know them” and “a good tree does not produce bad fruits nor does a bad tree produce good fruits” because it will mean we have to be accountable for our actions before God our creator and man as well. Remember 1 john 4: 1-6, well it talks about testing the spirits and ensuring they are of God. If testing the spirits exposes us, how is that the same thing as not judging others? The answer lies in Romans 14: 4 – 10. As long as verse 4 is not read in isolation the truth will be pretty obvious to those who seek it. In other words make people feel bad or guilty for attempting to do something that is their duty.

I. Inspire your customers by using pep talk as sermons.

Pep talk is a very attractive product to arrogant people who need ego massages. It is also a confidence booster when especially sold to ignorant and ego-centric people. The thing is that people think they have hope, whenever they are served pep talk whereas they have merely been inspired. Anybody can inspire, but only God can give hope to man because unlike man he can never fail. Your messages should be nothing more than pep talks observe that a football coach can give pep talks to his players in order to inspire them to great performance. The psychological effect of your pep talk and not the actual message you are preaching is what will make many perform to their optimum. It is a fact of life that success is the result of an inter-play of the following seven cardinal factors when applied appropriately:

1. Knowledge

2. Experience

3. Talent/skill/ability

4. Effort

5. Planning

6. Drive/ambition.

7. Character or a personality that is inclined towards achievement.

These factors are freely available to anyone of any nationality, age, sex, religion and lineage, and can easily be inspired through pep talk but you have a duty to prevent your customers from knowing this. Instead offer your pep talk in motivational messages which will all but truly state that you the preacher is simply trying to reap from where you did not sow. The scandal would be revealed by the fact that the apostles of Jesus Christ were not motivational speakers but teachers and doers of the word of God.

There are many more tricks you will learn in this trade. It will depend on your experience, knowledge of reality, level of intelligence, personality among others. Just remember that we are marketing, in other words applying management principles with a view to selling and making money from our target market.

2. Ingredients needed for this trade

The ingredients for this trade refer to those natural, innate and self-serving endowments we have within us. This trade needs the following ingredients:

A. Inordinate ambition or a strong craving for domination.

Your eyes should be on a very big prize such as wealth or status. Your market is the Nigerian society which honours wealth and status more than character and ability. Having wealth leads to you becoming powerful which brings you prestige which earns you respect which brings love (not brotherly love) which leads to trust (which at this stage is blind trust) which leads to deep reverence and finally hero worship. You might not set out so that people will love or worship you, but having a high prize in mind is what counts. The rest naturally falls through.

B. A very strong understanding of human needs, fears, desires and priorities.

If you know what frightens, confuses, excites, inspires, motivates, angers, impresses people and where human interests often lie or drift towards, then you have a very powerful tool at your disposal. If you use this tool very well to your advantage, you will be surprised to see that even well educated people can behave like zombies.

C. Reality based intelligence

This is not a psychology class but we must know that intelligence is of six types. But only one type is applicable to our trade and that is knowledge or reality based intelligence or street smart intelligence like some would call it. This type of intelligence is what every businessman must possess when relating with his fellow man. It is characterized by lessons one learns from hard knocks or bitter/sweet experiences of life. If you lack this, I am sorry to say you will surely have a hard time doing this business.

3. Requirements for this trade

For this trade you need the following:

1. A business plan
2. A registered business

I shall explain these terms in the Part III of this module.

Just like I anticipated, this POST truly means different things to different people. All kinds of wandering and pointless arguments are surfacing, just as some people are really making sense.

From now on I will strictly concentrate on the course and leave everybody to say whatever he/she likes. There is simply no need to get distracted at this point.

I want to announce a time-table commencing from September 11. The course modules will be released on a 2 or 3 day interval depending on the situation of things.

The course may or may not end on the 30th of September. It all depends on the turn out of things down here with me.

Till the end of the course.

sleekymag:
I've been following this thread from the first page and i understand where the poster is coming from. The 48 Laws of Power written by Robert Greene talks about how to acquire this sort of power and transform it into whatever you wish, whether wealth accumulation or just a leader with unquestioned followership, and also how to prevent being manipulated by people who tend to use these laws whether knowingly or just instinctively. Maybe the poster may have at some point read this book or similar books and thought he could analyse everything. Some of the laws include but are not limited to the following:

Law 12 - Use Selective Honesty and Generosity to Disarm your Victim (One sincere and honest move will cover dozens of dishonest ones; can be used to catch and deceive unsuspecting suckers [magas]).
Law 13 - When asking for help, appeal to people's self interest, never to their mercy or gratitude (a sure-fire way for anyone to make wealth, pastors or ordinary businessmen).
Law 27 - Play on people's need to believe to create a cultlike following (people have an overwhelming desire to believe in something).
Law 30 - Make your accomplishments seem effortless (Your actions must seem natural and executed with ease).
Law 31 - Play to people's fantasies (The truth is often avoided because it is ugly and unpleasant).
Law 43 - Work on the hearts and the minds of others (You must seduce others in wanting to move in your direction).
Law 46 -Never appear too perfect
Law 48 - Assume formlessness
etc.

Whilst some of the poster's claims can be said to be true, it is wrong to entirely claim that these men are in business for the sole aim of making money, or would the case have been different if they were not commanding that much wealth and power which they do.

NOTE: THE LINE BETWEEN TRUTH AND SEEMING TRUTH IS QUITE NARROW. At some point you could get confused and may start questioning your pastor's motives and integrity. The devil uses this tool to further confuse the innocent and unsuspecting christian in search of truth but brainwashed time and again by such posts as have been seen on this website. The result, people like some on this forum begin to lose faith and resolve towards personal christianinty. I could go on and on, but bottomline is that the devil's aim is to confuse more people.

In your church, rather than worship the man of God, worship God and take God's word as law, the man of God is just like you and of course could exhibit some flaws from time to time which may cause you to look down on his calling and ministry, but it doesn't mean that he's not sent by God into ministry. Do your own discovery, salvation is personal. Wealth is good, if men of God are genuinely rich, so, where's the problem there? Does it mean they aren't sent? Must they e poor and non-influential?
You are definitely wandering off and creating your own impression of what you think is happening here.

I really wish you could arrange your thoughts carefully and make some sense. Please reconcile the lessons taught in the 48 laws of Power and the laws you have especially quoted with what you have seen on this post.

Clearly indicate their points of intersection!

Anyways There is much harm already done replying you.

sorry to disappoint you, pastor adeboye have no access to the redeemed church money. he can not order for any of the church money. Please do your reseach very well. the money of the redeemed church world wide is control by a board. I know you may be abroad. where people over here are not obeying this law. Many reason, some of us like me , complain. Expect if the law as change in the redeemed. I do not know what they have as a law now. No redeemed pastor or member of his family is expected to have access to church funds. Each church were ask many years ago to set up a board. And this board were expect to control their church funds.

I know it is not done too, But I think if i am correct pastor adeboye still do not have access to redeemed funds. the board controls the money.
Sorry to disappoint you too. The expose on Adeboye has not yet been dished out and yet you are so sure of what I intended to say about him. Why did you jump the gun by assuming I do not already know about the board of directors? Well I guess your mind is already made up on what to believe.

intellectuals indeed. i see you don't do humility! that is the problem with you people judging all these people and their churches.
not that i expect any miracles from sanctimonious self righteous nigerians but the slow poison pills of this every church i don't attend is evil that brother david and you all propagate is absolute nonsense
Please read Romans 14: 5 - 10 and explain whether judging others like you say is the same thing being done here.

joshjosh:
by the way i don't attend a nigerian church. my faith is precious to me and i like to protect it by avoiding the silly poison of tribal/ sectarian sentiments you guys carried into your religion. if these guys are thieves as you people say, can i suggest that is because they are products of morally bankrupt society and people you call nigerians and nothing to do with Christianity.
There is no silly poison of tribal/sectarian sentiments being expressed here other than the one you are dreaming about and seriously hoping will come to pass.

joshjosh:
enjoy your bitterness and hatred because it makes you happy and look nice
I am not hating or bitter but if you are I can only say enjoy it if it makes you happy.

joshjosh:
but i am sure heaven does have a surprice awaiting some of you. that is if you and your choosen few gets there.
I am quite sure the same things can be said to you.

joshjosh:
Gods heart is larger than any small myopic denomination feeding you people with religion of hating anything that is succesful.
What has success got to do with this?

joshjosh:
some people didnt show up on this earth to do small things and leave the next generation poorer than they met it if that brings hatred well though luck
Good luck to you too. By the way what is the biblical basis of this sermon of yours?

@Poster

Bros, there is so much instability in all the things you have been saying. It clearly shows you are not reading your bible as you should. And you cannot come on this platform to lead everyone else that is not also studying their bibles into something that could hurt them. I really respect your opinion but you have to be careful about the things you are posting here because it does have serious effects. For the craze of a moment of praise from some folks, don't get yourself into something you really really really don't understand.I will take your shaky points one by one, to you show that you are not studying
I am seriously looking forward to it.

You are miles away from being correct here.

Note; i am not a pastor, but i am a christian and a very curious and studious person.
Who cares who or what you are. Just come forward with your 'solid and unshakable' points. See ya.

Module 2
Successful Intake

1. Fail Proof Strategy

The secret behind the successes of our mentors in this trade is the adoption of a fail proof strategy which will be self sustaining and durable. Don’t be as foolish as the likes of Jimmy swaggart, Peter popoff or Reverend King who taught they knew it all, rather adopt the craftiness of Benny Hinn whose method till date has not been successfully broken. The man though is not a genius but he has a clear cut understanding of the principle of virtue lying in the middle, meaning that as long as you do not over do your things, your agenda will at least remain trusted by the simple minded, ignorant and faithless people around you.

It is often said that a hint to the wise is sufficient. People who would rather take a peep into the word of God and not totally trust what we tell them i.e search for truth through scripture and not take our words at face value are the ones least likely to fall victim to our ploys because they will remain enlightened about what constitutes truth and falsehood according to God’s word. Whenever you identify such people avoid them because they portend danger. However where we can’t avoid such people we must do our best to undermine their efforts if at all they intend to challenge us on the veracity of our work. We could enlist the services of our devotees and allies in this regard. You know no body is above mistakes, therefore look out for their shortcomings if you can’t identify any, then create some for yourselves. Do whatever is necessary to protect your interest.

The wonderful thing about this business is the fact that it is belief based, meaning that it is subjective so that many people will never know our motives or even when they know will never have sufficient evidence to expose our deception. However that is not to say we should not keep our eyes open. You must do just this other wise the consequences might include bankruptcy, social leprosy, disdain from our former allies and partners and possibly a vacation to the white man’s college, if a very credible case is established against us with regard to obtaining goods under false pretenses and similar crimes punishable under law.

Before going on with the fail proof strategy here are a few things you should know about true worship and false worship.

True worship which is inspired by Holy Spirit is always founded on truth. When you search the scriptures yourself with faith and humility you will come to realize the method deployed for doing the things that please God. It will interest you to know that truth does not contradict, deceive nor implicate itself and the adherents of truth are very hard to deceive because the Holy Spirit usually speaks to their hearts and minds as he guides them in the way of truth and knowledge. Sinners who come to know the truth will usually repent of their sins and ask God to forgive them. They would equally try and reconcile with others whom they may have offended. An example is with Zachaeus, who on sighting Jesus Christ repented of his sins and promised to reconcile with anyone he may have offended. He did this because he had come to know the way of the truth i.e Jesus Christ.

False worship is of two kinds:

1. Idolatry
2. Satanism

Idolatry is worship of idols. An idol is any false god, which may not necessarily be a carved image, but could be also be a physical being such as a man whom many revere to the point of absurdity. The characteristic feature of idolatry is that it is often founded on ignorance. The practitioners are oblivious of the truth and yet they usually claim not to be. The easiest way to identify idolatry will be by the kind of message preached by the holy businessman and the impact such message has on its listeners. If the messages cause the listeners to wander far off from the way of Christ, i.e unconditional brotherly love that Christ Preached when he told his disciples that “if you love me you will keep my commandments and my commandment is this that you love one another as I have loved you”, then idolatry has simply reached its height. Heresy is a very sound example of what constitutes idolatry among Christians. Varieties of heresy include Prosperity gospel, messages on self improvement, knowledge and domination of earthly authority while neglecting key issues such as spirituality, kindness, faith (not the self serving faith that is being preached in many holy business centres), love and hope (please do not mistake hope for enthusiasm or inspiration).

Satanism on the other hand is an evil, outright attempt to contradict the truth. It is deliberately false, deceptive and misleading and will often involve the use of messages that omit the truth or selectively applies the truth with the sole aim of getting many to go against God’s commandments. It is not easy to discover, but Satanism will often manifest with the use of; false doctrines, superstitions, fear, lying signs and wonders, apostacy and sometimes an element of idolatry.

Let us now examine the fail proof Strategy (which is the marketing aspect of this business) and see how these can be applied to our business with success.

A. Appear harmless at the onset.

When approaching your prospects create an aura around you which convinces them that you are harmless. It is already known to us that the devil will never approach anybody by being his true self. He would often portray himself as an angel of light. Therefore we must come out as sheep when in actual fact we are nothing more than raveneous wolves seeking to exploit the gullible, ignorant and people lacking faith. We can accomplish this by using pseudo righteousness in the form of good behaviour. We can also portray an expression of good intent to people who are distressed and in need of help by offering to counsel them, inform and instruct them on the things WE MAKE THEM TO BELIEVE ARE OF God.

B. Say and do the things people want to hear and see.

Most people are naturally inclined more to certain things and less to other things. For instance people naturally prefer wealth to poverty, good health to sickness, success to failure, victory to defeat etc. After you have convinced your prospects about yourself to the point that they accept you, then, you can commence preaching messages designed to convince (mislead) people with a natural mind. These messages should include promises of all round success, promotion in their places of work, victory over enemies such as sickness and diseases, poverty and blood sucking demons, business breakthrough etc. never let them know that God’s sheep listen to his voice because they cast their minds only in serving God, other wise you will fail in your venture. The spiritually minded of course do not see the sense in gaining the whole world and losing their soul, so to them seeking God first and his kingdom is sufficient for their souls.

By preaching what they want to hear you will draw supposed Christians from other churches with less trendy details on how to serve God and not the pagans, and others especially religious zealots of other sects in places like KANO, ZAMFARA, KEBBI AND SOKOTO who have not heard the name Jesus or who might slaughter you for daring to preach the good news to them. Even if you draw pagans over to your fold there will be little or no changes in the way they lived their lives as pagans and with their new found lives as Christians.

C. Use the principle of herd mentality.

For people lacking direction and a mind of their own the right way is the one acceptable to the majority. Your customers fall into this class. Use methods that cause many to act in a particular way. For instance propaganda is an instrument that works well in misleading or deceiving many people at a time. The premise is this: when sheep moving together in large numbers proceed in a particular way, it is because the very first set of sheep, have proceeded that way. What I mean is this. If 100 sheep run round a field and a barrier is placed in front of them, as long as the first let’s say 10 sheep jump over that barrier, the remaining 90 sheep will continue to jump at the same point whether the barrier is there or not. This principle will make many people join your fold not because you are teaching the undiluted word of God or because you are sent from God, but because you have pulled many others before them into your fold or like some would say, caused many to “join your train”.

D. Leverage on the work of Opinion leaders.

In any organized setting, the fastest way to reach every body is to go through opinion leaders. An opinion leader is one who usually has his ideas and opinions accepted by his peers or others of his own kind who share similar interest(s) with him/her. He/she can be identified from the ease with which he/she dominates conversation or group discussion either as the initiator of topics being discussed or as the one exerting the greatest influence on the way others accept and apply the ideas used in their discussion. Opinion leaders are usually in the minority but can surprisingly convince many people in the majority through their gestures. Set out to indoctrinate them (opinion leaders) if you can and wherever you can. Offer them juicy positions in your flourishing or promising business or make them technical partners and consultants.

E. Over hype and Disguise Testimonials about your business results.

Like every established business the best way to build a customer base is to build credibility. This is often achieved by reputation or by using the testimonials or word of mouth of other people who have used your product or service (but since you lack reputation at the on set then settle for baseless testimonials). For instance OMO, KLIN, Elephant Blue and Ariel are the leading detergent brands because their marketing campaigns often include testimonials made by people you may never get to know or meet. Whether their claims are true or not is not important what matters is that it moves many to action. If you ask why then is this approach successful? It is because people are psychologically influenced into action by the supposed testimonials or claims of other people who have had a particular experience they are about to face. Note the people testifying on your behalf may be lying but that is inconsequential. What makes this more interesting is that the testimonials should be aimed at people experiencing distress and misery such as the sick, the unemployed, the emotionally dejected, the egotistical, ignorant, fearful and carnal minded. Not the truth loving, God fearing and prudent Christians, they will immediately see the lie you are telling.

I sincerely apologize for the seeming inconsistency and a lack of workable time table for this course. The truth is that fresh facts and information come up every day meaning that this course must be continually updated. That not withstanding you will not be kept waiting unnecessarily any more so here goes the concluding part of the introduction.

Introduction to holy business in Nigeria II

You are welcome to part II of the introductory part of this course. Let’s quickly go over the remainder then move there after to module 2.

As prospective super rich men and women, you must not be perturbed that Nigerians are a highly religious people mistakenly described as the happiest people in the world. Your prize is the reward of enterprise that is to say profit, while the cost is absolutely minimal.
Look at these for your selves:

1. This business enjoys a permanent tax holiday i.e you will never pay tax of any kind.
2. Most of your workers will be volunteers. That is they will think they are working for the Lord whether as Ushers, Choristers, Evangelists etc. where as they are helping you to minimize your operating costs.
3. You will earn undeserved respect as a Holy businessman. Many will mistake you as one called to do God’s work, win souls for the Lord and speak the mind of God.
4. You can levy your customers with scripturally, historically and culturally non-Christian Church fees such as tithes and illegal offerings, whereas the only known practice of contributing to Church Treasury was a communal/collective contribution later termed Collection made to meet the needs of under privileged members of the Christian community as well as justifiably necessary expenses. You can include your personal and selfish needs as part of church work and claim it is the duty of every believer to support God’s work i.e Church work.
5. The practice of consistently earning underserved wages as the above mentioned can be effected by misapplying scripture to buttress this point. Go on and state that people who do not pay tithes and other illegal offerings are stealing from the Lord, when in actual fact they are not meant to pay such.

If you find any business with so much incentives as this then I haven’t told you the whole truth about this business.

The British researcher who concluded that Nigerians were the happiest people in the world used a rather faulty method in arriving at such conclusion. He opined that despite widespread poverty, social ills and under development, Nigerians are a generally welcoming, homely and large hearted people failing to realize the reality on ground presented a different picture.
An American Journalist correctly analyzed our situation and opined that “Nigerians are a people with an unusual common sense and good mind”. Why would a journalist make such an assertion? He discovered that even in obvious oppression Nigerians would rather suffer and pray ceaselessly for divine intervention than take charge of a situation they already command, corroborating fela’s description of my people (Nigerians) as those who love suffering and smiling. Going by the fact that Nigerians respect naira and position more than character and ability I can’t but agree with him. A man of god who oversees a large congregation is accorded more respect than a poor but selfless civil servant on no more a criteria than that one i.e the G.O works in the Lord’s vineyard (more appropriately though for his own belly) while the other is a worker for man (actually a servant of humanity) instead of considering the overall contribution both have made towards the advancement of the country and mankind in general and on that basis accord due respect.

In other words, Nigerians tend to celebrate the influential but corrupt and disgruntled while despising the patriotic, selfless and well meaning man of good virtue.

You might ask: what is the connection between holy business and oppression? Quite simply because holy business is a corrupt system which like Authority stealing (borrowing fela’s term for official corruption) is oppressive. This is the perfect situation and cover we need to operate. Under oppressive environments, few people will ever have the courage to stand for what is right. Don’t be surprised that even in the most obviously fraudulent scenarios, we might still not have dissenting voices against our shameful ways, and even when they exist, will be too few and feeble to put up any serious threat to our business. Take my word for it the future is bright in this business.

To further illustrate this, the case of where brainwashed church goers steal money belonging to their employers and bring same to the House of God as offering without eye brows being raised as to the source(s) of such money even when the person making such offering is incapable of earning 10% of such amounts legitimately going by his present occupation. We know that the bible states clearly that the sacrifice (offering) of a sinner is an abomination unto the Lord, and stealing is a sin which God made a commandment against. He said thou shall not steal, stolen money given to us by our customers should be accepted and not returned to their rightful owners even when they demand for it because we can claim that the money in any case belongs to the church, where as the same God who gave Moses that commandment will surely reject such an offering in the same way he rejected Cain’s offering. But our belly and not our consciences is what must be satisfied so be at ease.

Also there are cases of contractors borrowing or in extreme cases stealing money to sow a seed with the Lord in order to win juicy contracts. These two illustrations are an indication into the desperation and ignorance of our prospective customers. Brace yourself up for this exciting offer. I assure the future is indeed bright. So much reward is in the offing.

very thought provoking.

endeavor not to accuse anyone of false miracles, because none of us can verify that except God.
but u can raise questions about all other things they do, that way we can easily make conclusions on the genuiety of their miracles.
but if u raise questions about the authencity of their miracles without any proove to back it up, u tend to sound more like another nuisance.

I m enjoying the course.
all da best.
@noetic

I partially agree with you about that. But I shall explain my position on stage managed miracles in subsequent posts. without doubt, there aren't miracles happening you shall see the basis of my arguments. Thank you for your candid Advice. God bless.

Disclaimer

First let me state that I am a bible believing Christian, but I have an attitude of speaking what is on my mind regardless of how offensive some may find it but only when occasion calls for it. I have nothing against anybody whose name(s) is/are mentioned, but I am merely stating what I observe that clearly breaches Christian doctrine, truth and Christian spirituality.

My apology goes to kunleoshob for his respectful advice which implored me to drop name calling, but to make this course as beneficial as possible it is only fair that honour is given to whom it is due.

I believe in the maxim a good Christian is a good citizen, writing something like this is only intended to condemn social ills (not people whose names are mentioned) that often have religious undertones in and around Nigeria.

This course is not by any means intended to malign or slander anyone. Nor is it intended to offend anyone but being a necessary evil it will most certainly offend some people.

Please ignore the messenger but pay attention to the message.

Thank you.

Module 1

Introduction to Holy Business in Nigeria Part I

What is Holy business?

It is the practice of using God’s body of believers as market for buying and selling products and services such as Miracles (which the Bible better describes as lying signs and wonders), cleverly packaged messages lacking depth in spirituality and often crafty but enticing avenues for receiving illicit donations for propagating worldly profit and vain glory.

The practice of this kind of business in Nigeria is very rampant as is especially seen in new generation churches most of which are spear headed by men and women with either poor understanding of scripture and sound Christian doctrine or are nothing more than morally bankrupt men and women and yet they enjoy the unalloyed patronage of people.

Our primary concern at this stage is the proper ushering of you the prospective Holy Businessman on how to start, run and reach the top of this highly lucrative business. Lucrative in the sense that total JUSTIFIABLE expenses are usually less than 20% of total income, meaning that this business is a cash cow if properly managed.

JUSTIFICATION

The economic and social climate in Nigeria at the moment is a very encouraging one for this kind of business to thrive because of the following observable trends among the people;

1. The reluctance of people to question those in authority

2. Widespread ignorance

3. A highly corrupt society

4. Social problems especially poverty, illiteracy and a widespread sense of insecurity

5. Limited exposure to vital information and a host of others.

In other countries where this business is especially booming such as the united states of America the population of customers and the overall market prospect is an overwhelming minority meaning that those who line the pockets of Holy businessmen are a tiny drop in the ocean this is due to their well civilized and well informed citizenry compared with what obtains here in Nigeria which is actually the reverse scenario especially in the urban centres. Most Christians here are better described as men of god followers who would rather do the bidding of their pastors than search for truth through appropriate scriptural references.
The pioneers of this kind of business are the best masters to learn from because they know all the tricks and have sufficient experience at their disposal. Interestingly they are mainly of American citizenship. The most notorious of them is evangelist Benny Hinn, who is best known for his extravagance, craftiness and pomposity. But that is not our concern rather to become super-rich so that we might surpass them is all that matters to us and following in the foot steps of people like him will be a very mighty leap towards achieving our goal.

A great number of ministers have applied Hinn’s method of ‘soul winning’, ‘evangelism’ and ‘ministration’ with serious measures of success. The likes of late Michael Adeyemi, Chris Oyakhilome and Samson Ayorinde have shown the way that leads to our common goal. This style involves the use of stage managed miracles, to offer false hope to desperate and faithless people, preaching of sensational messages that appeal more to the emotions and senses than to the spirit and the mind. Messages that are designed to inspire a yearning for earthly progress rather than the earthly battles we as Christians ought to fight against satan in order to prove our faith before God. We must not relent but stand fast in what we believe i.e money, power and earthly prestige if we are serious about joining the big league that these men already belong to.

Every would-be Holy Businessman must pick a mentor and attach himself fervently to his approach, success story, motivation and understudy him closely.

Then there is equally another approach used successfully to deceive and milk people dry of their earthly treasures and that is the use of voodoo miracles. Do not confuse this with Holy Spirit inspired miracles which are genuine and which are often accompanied by sinners repenting and turning to God. Voodoo miracles achieve the exact opposite. They create fear in the minds of those who witness them and cause the weak at heart to look at the voodoo practitioner as an object of veneration quite contrary to what the disciples of Jesus Christ were known for. A very successful practitioner of this wicked science in Nigeria is a man named TB Joshua who has claimed to have the power to command fire to fall from heaven, cure AIDS, cancer, exorcise demon possessed and bewitched people and even appear in people’s dreams to warn them of impending evils (evils which people like him are known to cause). The crowd that is often seen at this man’s healing sessions is usually large and often times contain notable figures such as expatriate Journalists, tourists, evangelists, fellow pastors and visitors on adventure and sight seeing. Even a former president of Zambia in the person of Fredrick Chiluba, and the daughter of the king of Swaziland, famous Nigerian footballer Kanu Nwankwo have been among his clients at various times. His business is currently doing fine although I will not recommend this to you because you risk becoming a social leper because many of the so-called miracles he works are eyes sores too disgusting for decent people to watch.

A more conservative approach which is quite harmless at face value is the use of seminar-style preaching of motivational messages that make little impact on the spirituality of those who listen to them. This style involves the use of point by point teaching of messages coined out of scripture in rather semi-truthful and superficial delivery of keynotes which are no more than lectures one would witness in seminar presentations. Some of the lessons that could be preached include; the seven Ms of Money, seven secrets of successful businessmen and pastors which have been preached at various times by Mathew Ashimolowo and “Enjoying a shame free life” a message taught by arguably Nigeria’s richest Holy businessman David Oyedepo. The draw back in preaching messages like these is the fact that people are made to believe that the life of a Christian in eternity must be heralded by earthly prosperity usually in the form of riches, of course even pagans think that way when their (Christians) righteousness ought to be greater than those of hypocrites, pagans and unbelievers.

These seeming anomalies are a blessing to us who seek heaven on earth. Our duty is to capitalize on this opportunity. We must not waste time as more people are getting into this trade to deprive us of our share of the goldmine. Let’s do the math. There are 140 million Nigerians 52 million of whom are Christians. If we take out just 100,000 each to our respective churches and get on average monthly tithes of =N= 1000 each, then we are talking about =N= 1,200,000,000 per annum. This is achievable within the next 5 years if you are starting off today. How to go about this will be taught in module 3 of this course.

So you have seen it part I of the introduction. Look out for part II which will come on or before the 11th of September.

This Post will mean different things to different people. To the open minded it could mean a satire, to the ignorant, Zealot, hypocritical and Sadistic, it will amount to nothing more than an attempt to undermine the work of God. To yet another group it will be an attention grabbing piece that achieves absolutely nothing on the positive side. But to me it is a true reflection of things I have observed among some men of god, the massive business empires they preside over, the attempts and strategy they have applied all these years to arrive at their present states. This write up is going to demonstrate the sad reality of opportunism, deception, greed and ambition combining forces to wreck havoc on the social fabric of the Nigerian Society. It will include an expose on the five biggest Holy Businessmen in Nigeria (David Oyedepo, Enoch Adeboye, Chris Oyakhilome, Temitope Joshua and Mathew Ashimolowo in that order) and the vast businesses they preside over.

Christianity EtcRe: Chris Oyakhilome Is A Phoney by paulipopo(op): 11:49pm On Aug 26, 2008
This write-up is meant to explain the following:

1. My intention, desire and motivation for pointing out the phoniness of Mr. Christian Oyakhilome.
2. Give an assessment of arguments from all sides.
3. State the essence of my post

My Intention

Of course like I stated at the start of my post “make no mistake in misinterpreting this write-up as an attack on Chris Oyakhilome it is not but rather a true description of a man so many people adore”. I wrote my initial post to point out what I knew him to do that ran contrary to the word of God.

My Desire

My desire was and still is to WARN as many people as possible of this development.

My motivation

My motivation comes from my personal experience, my love for fairness and my love for my country. I shall explain shortly.

1. My personal experience in the hands of fake pastors has been a most excruciating one. Not only have I found out that many of them are inhuman and wicked, I have also found out that they are not so easy to spot by most people who are heavily weighed down by human problems such as poverty, unemployment, need for a life partner, promotion in their workplaces, search for fruit of the womb, prosperity or success in life, sickness and diseases among many others.

You may ask why Chris Oyakhilome? Why not someone else? I chose him because he is the biggest example of what I call Holy Businessmen. He runs programs on almost every television station I know and these programs are watched by people who are heavily weighed down by human problems such as poverty, unemployment, need for a life partner, promotion in their workplaces, search for fruit of the womb, prosperity or success in life, sickness and diseases among many others.

Even though he is moderate about the way he goes about preaching these messages, the fact still remains that his messages move many who do not take time to check the authenticity or truth of such messages when in actual fact his messages or the messages of any man of God should be weighed against scripture and read honestly and faithfully. Of course, the ignorant, faithless and gullible will have a hard time doing this that is why another option exists: to warn them of what is really going on and not to keep quiet like some have insinuated on the guise of “Judge not the Lord’s Servant”. Sadly even these class of believers have quoted Paul out of context i.e Romans 14: 4 when verse 5 – 10 explains judging others to mean judgement relating to the way in which people honour God.

2. My love for fairness. Let me state that my future is in Nigeria and nowhere else hence anything that affects my future is my concern. I really hate to see a situation where unsung heroes are either maltreated or despised whereas crooks like politicians, Holy Businessmen or fraudsters who all have stupendous wealth to their names are being looked up to by youths. The consequence of something like this is a bleak future which sadly involves me. Don’t expect me to just keep quiet and say nothing.

3. My love for my country. I am not trying to say I am a saint, nor am I implying that I have a spotless character but I will rather die a poor master in my country than be a rich servant elsewhere. If I truly want the best for my country, then I must make it a priority to speak up and face the consequences for doing so. That is exactly what I am doing and please see it as that.

An assessment of this write-up

Let us start by examining the various arguments against my Post.

While I anticipated opposing views I never expected them to be so fanatical, pointless and emotionally charged as they turned out to be. Even though I feel bad about this I still have no regrets for doing what I did. I have carefully observed that all those who spoke vehemently against this post except for fotodaddy, are apologists of Chris Oyakhilome or members of Christ embassy. No surprise anyway it is only natural that things like this happen.

One particular fellow, fotodaddy who made no sensible comments wondered whether it was my concern if he (Oyakhilome) deceived others. He wondered why I did not “ leave the man alone and thank God say e never dupe you” implying that we ought to keep quiet and not warn gullible, ignorant and faithless people who are easy targets for false prophets while they feed fat on them. Equally worth noting were his attempts to quip up unnecessary sentiments and endless bickering by the fact that he failed to drive home any point without insulting, castigating or playing ‘honest observer’.

Another, baby5 a lady just went on without stating why Chris Oyakhilome was not a phoney. All she did was exclaim “Pastor a phoney, well I for one do not believe it” and “get yourself a life”. Bluesteps her ‘sister-in-christ’ asked me to “look at your life and look at pastor Chris’ life. Is his life not beautiful?” Well being someone who doesn’t judge by appearances all I can say is I don’t Know! But this I know anyone, that includes Bishops, Pastors, Priests, General Overseers etc that does anything contrary to the will of God as contained in his Word cannot possibly be of God. Her herd mentality was also noticeable when she argued that “Christ Embassy is waxing stronger” and asked me to “join the train”. As for joining a train I need to be sure of its destination before joining. Is the Christ Embassy train heading for Heaven or Hell? The answer to this should determine whether anybody joins eventually and not because a large number of people belong to that train. Not forgetting Pepeye whose only contributions were “phoney Thread” and “this thread was started by a retard and is full of retards”.

Others like Africankel and Donnie tried to play bible scholars by often using biblical verses or religiousity to make pointless arguments which only goes to show that either the messages they have listened to all these years when their so-called man of God served the Lord ‘selflessly’ were baseless, false or heretical like I stated or that they themselves are taking after their pastor in the art of misapplying scripture for selfish reasons.

Getting entangled in arguments with people like these can be a horrible experience for people who only want to state things the way they really are.

Then they are the moderates to also consider. I liked the maturity of hubreality who did not debase himself like some others especially fotodaddy, baby5, bluesteps, Africankel, Donnie, pepeye and dudu-bobo. He spoke brilliantly a couple of times on the need to ‘love ourselves and to pray for pastor Chris’. I wish he could only see that I am not against doing such. Nwakaibe and de also spoke moderately against my post.

For those who argued similar points with me, they seemed honest. They did not speak because they had anything against Chris Oyakhilome but because they refused to be mesmerized by his antics and herd mentality which most of his supporters have fallen into. My only grudge will be with poetiklas who was a bit harsh on the man.

Then they were the neutrals as well. I mean those who either did not comment or whose comments did not categorically support or oppose my arguments.

To State the essence of my post

Before God and man, one thing remains outstanding and binding and that is the truth. While some may claim to be ‘born again’, Christians or believers yet there seems to be a wide gap between what they claim to be and who they really are. Hence it becomes extremely necessary to check (test) and ensure that anybody who claims to be of God is really of God 1 John 4: 1 – 6.

If we do not do this, what right, have we to ask if false prophets exist. Why would Jesus Christ warn us about the end times, false prophets and lying signs and wonders? Why would he ask us to be as gentle as doves but as wise as serpents when he says “behold I send you out as sheep among wolves” if he does not want us to be on our guard against the enemy?

Or should we rather argue that heaven is meant only for us (so-called born again, Christian, believer etc) and as a result the simple at heart, faithless and ignorant, who Jesus Christ described as my Sheep, (John 10: 11, 16) be left in the hands of raveneous wolves? Can our Christianity be so callous as to be this indifferent? Read 1 Timothy 2: 4.
While we may say pointing accusing fingers at one particular person is wrong because it may tarnish his/her image I beg to differ because we must choose between pleasing men who in any case are ungrateful, selfish and worldly or speaking and living by the truth which is what will set us free. Are you called to do the bidding of another man or abide in the way of truth? Ask yourself that question. Would you rather please God or man?

Anyway I am not trying to preach to anybody, but this mass movement of men of God followers must be warned and asked to prefer serving God than doing the bidding of their pastors. That was the essence of my post and not the ranting, un-informed claims of some that I have something against Christian Oyakhilome.

Thank you.

My dear Paulipopo, Miracles that came out from the demonstration of God's Word and His Spirit can only be TRUE! If the Spirit of Him that raised JESUS from death dwells in you, you will pray by the Power of the Holy Ghost to multiply His Grace on Pastor Chris and many other anointed men and daughters of God all over the world. The devil is defeated already! This is not the play of theology, religion and it's politics!
I don't seem to understand what you are saying here.

Can you please be plain.

What do you mean by "If the Spirit of Him that raised JESUS from death dwells in you, you will pray by the Power of the Holy Ghost to multiply His Grace on Pastor Chris and many other anointed men and daughters of God all over the world."

Are you trying to entangle unrelated issues together? please be precise.
