One definition of a player (male that is) is one who seeks romantic or sexual satisfaction from several women at a time without having any intentions of commitment to any. Now only just 4 weeks ago I was single that is I had never had a girlfriend till then. Suddenly I find myself in a love triangle with two girls whom I know really like me and want to have relationships with me. All this happened after a friend of mine who is good at picking up girls gave me some tips on how to get almost any girl I want. While I am yet to have a romantic experience I don’t want to believe I am taking after my friend whose lifestyle is not appealing to me. Before now I have been faced with all sorts of stereotypical profiling of girls especially Lagos girls such as being too money conscious, manipulative, promiscuous and pretentious no thanks to my friends who had indoctrinated me with such axioms as 1. All the girls I see around me in Lagos are photocopies of Sharon stone and Cosy Orjiakor. 2. There is no true love all so called love is puppy love They even have an anthem they sing among themselves about Lagos girls. I can’t tell you the many nasty things contained in that anthem but it really demeans Lagos girls. My friends who now think I am a man are planning to host a party for me which they want to use in welcoming me to the players club? They have advised that I should spare no one that crosses my path as all Lagos girls are either after their interests or want to use me as a pawn in achieving their interests. They further advice that having landed two girls in my kitty (quoting one of my friends) the next step is to chop and clean mouth. My first question is this. Am I really a player? My elder sister was once a victim of a player and I know how painful it was on her. I wouldn’t want to hurt anybody But how do I handle the situation with the two girls? Do I tell them to just be friends, avoid them or see reason with my friends? I personally am not sure if I am in love with either of them but I am attracted to one of them more than the other. I welcome advice, comments and criticism but please no insults. |
There is this seeming contradiction I came across sometime ago in the bible. Jesus Christ once said that of all men born of a woman that there isn't anyone greater than john the baptist whereas the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than john the baptist. 1. Now by implication, John the baptist is greater than Abraham and all the prophets since they were all born of women. 2. Jesus Christ also told a parable of a certain rich man and Lazarus. They both died and one went to heaven-Lazarus- the other the rich man went to hell. Also that the rich man now in hell saw Lazarus in Abraham's bossom in heaven. Let us assume that Abraham was the least in the kingdom of heaven, he would be greater than John the Baptist since the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John the baptist. But Abraham was also born of a woman meaning that Johm the baptist is greater than Abraham. My questions are; 1. Was Jesus Christ implying that Both Abraham and John the baptist are greater than each other? 2. Could the term "greater than" as used by Jesus Christ mean something else other than what it sounds like? 3. Was Jesus Christ trying to puzzle his disciples with his teachings? 4. or could there be some other explanation for this? I would really appreciate your comments on this Thank you all and God bless.
