Omuka:Restoring factory settings will only reset your phone settings to default but not downgrade, now to downgrade from android 9.0 pie to 8.0 Oreo you can only do that with a laptop |
Omuka:I did it myself |
Everybody is complaining about their note 5 but this is the best phone that I have ever used since the day I bought it I have not noticed any single fault it doesn't over heat even when playing games (ie modern combat 5) the only problem I have was when I upgraded to android 9.0 which stopped my notification led for third party apps and fast changing so I later downgraded back to android 8.1 (security patch 5 Dec 2018) and since then no problem..I bought mine fairly used 23rd October 2018 |
Please o! All these people selling their note 5 can anyone of you sell me your follow come charger I'm in Anambra state |
Dimeji271:You must be very stupid for saying that i never said that when you install an app downloaded from external site that it is installed somewhere else i was trying to make the guy understand that "saving" is when you download an app with your browser(i.e ucweb) and "installing" is when you click the app from your file manager or if it was downloaded from play store which is automatically installed and "executing" is when the app is loaded inside the ram |
slawomir:Chairman listen when you download an app from play store it automatically installs the app inside your internal storage or external storage depending on your Android version but when you download from third party store like "apkmirror" with your browser then it saves the app inside your phone or external storage then when you click the app with your file manager it then installs the app then when you click the app icon from your launcher the app is then loaded in your ram and executed and trust me what is loaded inside a ram is not the entire app but just the particular code that is running at that particular time and when you shot down your phone every thing in your ram is gone because its just a temporary storage for executing apps |
isaacosas01:So did you check the band |
Mtn Band 7 Airtel Band 3
|
Infinix note 5 LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 40(2300), 41(2500) |
bongolistik:Infinix note 5 supports band 7 and I have tested Mtn 4g my self and it is working perfectly once ur area have mtn 4g network |
Prinzdaidol:Ok thanks |
slawomir:I already know that Airtel 4g is Working i just want to be sure that his glo is on 4g because infinix note 5 does not support band 28 which is what glo is currently using |
Prinzdaidol:Pls just check Settings>System>About phone>Status>SIM status then click on Glo NG tab check Mobile network type and see if its showing 4G or LTE I just want to confirm and if its possible post your own screen shot
|
For those that wants to run apps such as call recorder or internet speed meter that refuse to run in background just download phone master from play store and enable auto start for the app and also add the app in protected apps in phone masters setting and you are good to go |
Pls has anyone tried using it with various nigerian network on lte mode pls i will like to know which network lte band it supports not online spec i mean those that have been tested on the phone practically |
olaneyo18:the last time I checked they told me that tecno has stopped producing it but some times I use to c it at some online shop like jumia and konga but very costly around 25 to 30k |
Pauljeks:actually the memory card doesnt unmount it just becomes invisible in the phone but it can still be accessible when connected to PC . it comes back when u unmount and mount it back again any other custom ROM can fix it but d reason I mention boom j5 is because its d same user interface for those DAT doesn't like custom ROM and it has every thing in d original l5 rom and it is 98% bugless been using it for a week and no more memory card problem. |
Jacinta44:if u mean porting c9 ROM to l5 that I'm not sure because c9 has different screen resolution and graphics and d processor is also different from l5..nd there is no advantage apart frm fixing memory card force unmount problem |
for porting tutorial visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-how-to-port-lollipop-based-roms-t3223938 |
for those experiencing memory card unmounting after using ur phone(tecno l5) for a very long time its just a ROM(operating system) fault so if u know any thing about porting ROMs then u can port tecno boom j5 ROM to ur phone it has d same interface with l5 that it won't even be notice that its not d default rom. thats how I solved mine I would have posted the ROM but it is too big cos I didn't remove any thing from it its about 980mb in size and I'm just using Airtel 2g plan. |
