If a player is good ,he is good ,don't tell me they can only perform in a particular team , this is football not rugby,even if a team is setup defensively like athletico Madrid, you will still need creativs players to create chances and score goals for you, someone like you would have said athletico signing of joao Felix for over that outrageous amount is a waste of resources just because their team is known to be defensive hence they should only sign defensive players, my point is it doesn't work as you are trying to paint it
